I get my daily coffee here when I work on campus. Definitely one of my favorite places for coffee! Love the staff, food & drinks and the atmosphere.

Large Mocha
Marcus C.

I decided to stop by Edmonds Cafe as I heard it's a great cafe to study at. There are many tables and their wi-fi is pretty good. My friend and I decided to share a large mocha. The cashier was very friendly, and we received our drink shortly. I thought the Mocha was a little too sweet for my liking. Overall, it is a solid spot if you need a place to study at with small bites!

Edmonds is one of my fav cafes around campus (and trust me, I've been around ) I've had a few different drinks and they've almost always met the mark (lovee their seasonal pumpkin cream cold brew). Their drinks are priced well and there's a large seating area (though it can get noisy so keep that in mind if you're planning to study).

Bay window sunset - The image captures a sunset with orange and yellow tones over distant mountains, viewed through a glass window. Reflections of interior elements, such as a person and wall decorations, are visible on the glass, along with reflections of the street scene outside, including cars and trees. The scene combines the outdoor sunset with indoor reflections, creating a layered visual effect.

This cafe should be 5 stars! One of the best cafes in Berkeley especially for students. It's never crowded and has plenty of room to study. The bay window offers an amazing view. I get so much work done here.

Edmond's Pretzel - A large, dark brown pretzel with a shiny surface and coarse salt sprinkled on top is shown resting on white paper. The pretzel has a twisted shape with a thick, chewy appearance and is placed on a table with a textured surface visible in the background.

Edmonds is great spot to grab a quick bite to eat. They're sandwiches and pizza are amazing, along with their pastries and great staff

Matcha with 2 pumps of Vanilla - A clear plastic cup filled with a green matcha drink, with a black straw inserted through a plastic lid, sits on a white marble surface. The background includes a plain wall, a small stand with a menu or sign, and part of a laptop or electronic device. The setting appears to be indoors, possibly in a café or similar establishment.

Customer service is amazing. So amazing in fact, I fell in love with one of the baristas. The drinks are good and the new pastries from Third Culture, are even better! The music is also really good.

Me holding my blueberry lemonade. It is good and refreshing. I will most likely order a blueberry lemonade again some time in my life.

Good Golly! To say Edmond's is the best coffee shop in the world is quite blatantly an understatement. Encapsulated by a calming ambiance, an unmatched view of the bay, and coffee that makes the toes tingle, Edmond's cafe is like no other. But what sets Edmonds apart from some of the other amazing coffee shops our Earth has to offer? One word: super amazing customer service. After ordering two matcha lemonades, my twin sister and I were astounded and quite pleased to see the coffee brought to us from an amazing barista named Caroline Warren. Delivering our coffee directly, Caroline was quick to engage in conversation with my sister and me, and was clearly quite concerned that we had a satisfiable experience at her café. Edmond's Café, if you see this, please give Caroline a raise. Caroline encompasses everything Edmond's stands for. To conclude this review, I have written a poem that hopefully can convey my attitude towards Edmond's to some extent: Roses are red, Violets are blue, I don't do drugs because drugs are bad, Edmond's is coo. Edmond's, you will forever have my heart. This concludes my review. As Dr. Dre once so elegantly put it, "Never let me slip, 'cause if I slip, then I'm slippin'". GO BEARS!!!

Turkey sandwich - The image shows two cardboard takeout containers on a metal outdoor table, each holding a sandwich and potato chips. One sandwich appears grilled with visible grill marks. There are two beverages: a hot coffee in a paper cup with a lid and a can of kombucha with a purple label. The setting is outdoors, with a wooden fence and parked cars visible in the background.

Avesome service, good snacks. The tea and coffee is good. Nice location. No "mandatory tips"

Side Salad
Melanie Y.

I've come here twice, and both times have been honestly not great at all - I only visited on request of friends wanting to grab a drink or side salad here. The items on the menu are all not very cheap (~$8-9) for what they actually are. For instance, I most recently ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of fries included and an extra patty inside by recommendation of the cashier. The cashier told me that it would be a "triple decker grilled cheese sandwich," and didn't mention that the patty was an additional $3.50, or that the side of fries were so small I could have eaten all of them in one bite! This order came down to $12.50, and needless to say, I was not satisfied at all with my food at the price point. The grilled cheese sandwich was lightly burnt on the outside so that I could mostly taste the burntness in every bite, and the wait was quite long (~15 minutes) for an order this small and simple. By the time the order came out, the sandwich was no longer crispy, quite lukewarm, and lacked any sort of flavor, so I dipped the entire thing in ketchup to at least be able to taste something. It was definitely not a "triple decker grilled cheese" like the cashier said, and the quality of the food had me definitely feeling I could make something way better at home. Definitely not a place you'd want to visit if you want quality food at a good price.

Unfortunately my açai refresher barely had any taste and my mochi donut was stale. Very disappointing.

Cashier (petite Indian girl with pink highlights) is always very rude, seems to hate her job, and very unwelcoming.

Southie - The Balls ($16) Lance-style

Southie

When I think of a sandwich that has the ability to make my mouth water just thinking of it, few…read morecome to mind, but what the sandwiches they make at Southie is definitely one of them. I've had their Spicy Hog, steak with mushroom, a few Cubans, but the one that I always come back to is "The Balls" sandwich. First off, this sandwich is massive, so be sure that you come here on an empty stomach. These beef meatballs are seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. The balls are covered in their red sauce with provolone and Grana Padano, which gives it that nutty and salty flavor that pairs extremely well with the meatballs and baguette. All the juices and cheese just get soaked up to perfection. The baguette bread they use is supplied by La Farine, which is just a few meters away from each other. Just putting out there that La Farine is hands down one of the best bakeries in Oakland, so it makes sense that this sandwich would be so dang good. I'll be honest that I'm not a big fan of the chips or those chips in general and could be fine with just the sandwich. If you are going to have any sandwich to eat here first, I would highly recommend you try "The Balls" because I promise you will be disappointed. I will always say that the dozen or so times I've been here, the staff are always so friendly, and the atmosphere is very down to earth. The price of their sandwiches is in the $20 range, but the quality and portion make it totally worth it.

I was very surprised the pulled pork sandwich was very delicious. The turkey pancetta pesto also…read moregood. What I really didn't like was the bag of potato chips they put on my plate. The texture difference was fine. It needed it, but I would've preferred hand cut potato wedges or french fries with a pulled pork sandwich. I did enjoy my meal and I will come back again. I'd try the meatball sandwich. This was yesterday
