I came back and ordered the date tahini latte, with dairy milk. In general coffee always tastes really strongly bitter to me, so the date and tahini flavors felt subtle to me as a result but I felt they did pair well with the coffee, making it slightly nutty yet creamy and a little less bitter. In the future, I want to try their rose cardamom latte. read more

Amazing cafe in Oakland! Home to probably one of my favorite lattes I've ever had as an avid coffee drinker + cafe hopper! I got the Date Tahini Latte and it was absolutely delicious. The honey-caramel sweetness of the date balanced the latte beautifully, softening the bitterness or sour notes that typically come with a bold cup of coffee. My friend got the Cardamom Rose Latte which had a very strong rose taste with hints of cardamom that similarly paired well with their coffee. Very beautiful cafe too, would highly recommend anyone who may be in the area to check this place out! read more

This place is consistently wonderful every time we visit. Staff are very kind and the ambiance is amazing - super cozy, free wifi, cute decor, the works! I got an iced matcha latte with cardamom rose syrup and oat milk and it was wonderful, 10/10! My partner got the date tahini hot latte, also with oat milk, and LOVED it. Another 10/10! Also, we gifted their coffee beans (sorry I don't remember the specific name but it comes in a black bag with a cool design) to my partners parents who love coffee and they said it was spectacular!! so definitely try their coffee beans for brewing at home as well if you are into that. Hands down some of the best lattes you'll have in Oakland. This is a cool and chill coffee shop with delicious lattes. You'll find flavors you can't find anywhere else. The staff are friendly and the baristas are truly excellent at their craft. We got the Rose Blossom and the Date Tahini and they were both good. They provide both Oat and Whole milk at the moment. I can't wait to go back and try out the other items. I'll definitely back in the next week. This place will be popular so go there before it gets busy! read more

A fantastic place in the heart of Oakland. The service was lovely, we told them we'd never been in before and they made recommendations. I tried the date tahini latte with oat milk and it was wonderful. So smooth, lovely flavors. My friend tried the ginger latte and the banana bread, both 5 stars. Comfy seating, but not a lot of it. We stayed for about an hour in the afternoon, and it was peaceful. Thank you! read more

Their Tahini Date Coffee is absolutely delicious and I highly recommend pairing it with their famous focaccia or za'atar breads. The coffeehouse has a very cozy vibe and love that they have a welcoming atmosphere. Highly highly highly recommend! The most unique flavored lattes, amazing customer service, abundant seating and cozy vibes throughout the cafe! Visited JCH today for the first time and will be back many, many more times. Truly in love with the Cardamom Spice latte! My sister got a coffee from this place and it was quite good. I got the cardamon latte and it had a great flavor. The issue was the floaties, something that I don't like. My sister got a date latte and I'd like to go back for one of those too. The people were very nice. My favorite coffee spot in the bay. It's a little far from me but I go whenever I can. My favorites are the cardamom rose latte and the orange blossom. All the staff are so welcoming and kind and the vibe is always positive. I also love that they have books to peruse and gorgeous art on the walls. I love that they are prop. Palestine and I was happy to see so many folks keffiyahs. My friend and I got a rose cardamom latte, and a date, tahini latte, so I was able to sample two flavors. The rose cardamom was really nice - the flavors were strong, but not overpowering, and nicely balanced. The date tahini was very subtle. It tasted like a sweet latte with a little bit of molasses... I like molasses, but I would've liked more bold and distinctive presence of both date and tahini. They don't carry decaf beans which means I probably won't go back. They were out of dairy milk, and just had oat, which was disappointing, and no food or snacks available, which was also a bummer. The shop has some tables in the front part and a couch and cushy chair in the back. So, nice seating options. However, the ambience is off for me because it was so loud. I'm glad that they're so popular, but I found it physically uncomfortable. It may be because the space is small or built-in an echoey way. read more

Went to Jerusalem Coffee House today for the first time. What a beautiful cafe! I had a cardamom spice latte and it was delicious! I'm slightly picky about my coffee and wish the actual coffee tasted stronger, but I have come to expect that most Bay Area coffee shops use beans that are mostly a medium roast. I'm from Seattle so coffee is a bit stronger tasting up there. Anyway, I will definitely come back to JCH as I want to try the rose cardamom latte. read more

I love Jerusalem Coffee House! I found my new favorite coffee shop that feels like home. they're located at 55th & Telegraph & can be easily spotted by their mural out front. Inside you'll find enough seating for friends, beautiful lamps, & lush plants in abundance. Their menu includes coffees, teas, & small treats. I ordered the tahini date latte & accidentally scarfed it down in three minutes, I'm obsessed. I also had a cookie & it was delicious Their Hibiscus Rose tea is really popular & they of course serve your basic americanos & cold brew. There's a drink for everyone, I'm on my way back to try the cardamom spice tea. The staff is so sweet, the location is darling, & the drinks are divine- what's not to love?! When I saw the JCH menu I was shocked at the incredible flavor options in front of me. The rose latte has risen in popularity over the years, but tahini date and orange blossom are incredibly refreshing! There are many others too! On top of this they have the cutest little vegan muffins that are delicious! I love the graphic design, the music on, and the cozy interior design of the space. Plus they have a really nice coffee machine! There were two people behind the counter when I visited and I couldn't have asked for better service. Thanks JCH! read more

I got the rose blossom latte with oat milk and I have to say it is one of the best floral lattes I've ever had; I'm not a huge floral coffee drinker, but this really did it for me. Also check out the art! How gorgeous, truly. If I could have sat here and worked for the day I would have. Their food selection is also better than you'd expect from a coffee shop. In addition to coffee and pastries, they offer cakes, breakfast items, and a variety of other snacks and treats, so there's always something to pair with your drink. Their hours are convenient, making it easy to stop by throughout the day. The only area where I think there's room for improvement is cleanliness. I've noticed on several occasions that when I arrive shortly after opening--sometimes within 30 minutes to an hour--there are still crumbs on the chairs, tables, and floor, even when there haven't been many customers yet. First impressions matter, and the café should be fully cleaned and ready for guests before the doors open. Customers shouldn't have to wipe down their own tables before sitting. Overall, I really enjoy coming here and would absolutely recommend it for the atmosphere, Wi-Fi, seating, and food options. With a little more attention to cleanliness before opening each day, it would be an even better experience.

Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.

Whether it's company policy or employees personal political views, I won't be coming back. Refusing to service the same people you will call in an emergency is fundamentally self defeating and a bad look for a public facing business. Take your business elsewhere.

The drink was ready in less than 4 minutes. If you enjoy coffee on the sweeter side with flavored cream tops, this coffee shop is for you. The Honey Cream was sooooo good and perfect amount of cream vs at some other coffee shops there is a very thin layer. Whenever I am in the area, I will be stopping by.
