My car was delivered when they said it would be and Natalie went above and beyond to get the parts in as quickly as possible. Larry was very flexible and communication was always great. I'm puzzled by some of the less-than-stellar reviews here because my dealings with this company were fantastic. My 2010 Kia Sedona was rear-ended early last year, and the entire bumper area was crushed. After I got estimates, my insurance carrier decided that the car should be totaled, and they wanted to take it from me for book value. This is a 14-year-old car, with only 96,000 miles on it...barely broken in. I decided to pay for the repairs myself as I did not want to give up the KIA. I went to Edmonds Auto Body for another estimate. The owner, Larry Taylor, thought he could get the insurance company to pay. After several back-and-forths, he got them to agree to the repair. The next problem Larry attacked was trying to find a used bumper assembly. There were no new ones available for such an old car. He finally found a used assembly and had it shipped to Edmonds. I saw it when it arrived: it was in bad shape, and I never thought it would work. When I went to pick up my car, I noticed a Kia Sedona at the far end of the parking lot. I thought, "Wow, that Kia is in better shape than mine." Then I realized it was the back end of my KIA. It looked brand new. The rear bumper assembly was beautifully restored, and the car was cleaned and washed. Larry was not there when I picked it up, but I thanked his lovely wife, Michelle, who helped me with the paperwork and got me back on the road. More than a year later, it still drives like a new car. I went to this shop because years before I had work done on my car when I was in an accident and I thought they did nice work. When I visited today to get an estimate for my driver's side door repair that was a result of me turning into a pole, I was treated extremely poorly. The owner was there and acted like he was too busy to help me. He was so rude, that I even asked if I should come back at a better time. He said he is extremely busy and demanded that I tell him if I will be using my insurance or not because the estimate would be different. I am a 40 year old woman that within 5 minutes of being in his shop treated me like a 10 year old that he didn't have time for. Needless to say, I will not be going back there ever again and would not recommend friends or family use this company. I just don't understand why you would treat a potential customer this way. I was simply getting an estimate either to pay in cash or go through my insurance. read more

We went to Mike when my car was keyed pretty badly and my husbands truck had some tailgate damage. He not only handled all the insurance paperwork (all I had to do was upload his estimate). Truck and tailgate were perfect! On mine, he polished the whole car and got out a few dents. On top of all that he detailed them both beautifully at no extra cost. This place just doesn't seem like a body shop when you walk in, the office is incredibly inviting with wall hangings of local well known local bands (Pearl Jam, Sound Garden and the like). Larry, the owner knows how to navigate insurance companies, his work is impeccable and he's honest all the way through. The quality of the work was very good, but dealing with the owner was not awesome. As others have reported, he seems like you're taking up his time and that you're an inconvenience. When I said I was using Allstate, he audibly groaned and acted like that was the worst thing ever. He washed my entire car when I picked it up which was nice, but in so doing he dislodged a windshield weather strip that i noticed because of the flapping noise it made when I drove home. Took it right back to him, he said "it was like that when I got it", which was BS because I had never heard that noise before. I'd rather he not wash my car than do it with what I assume was a pressure washer that got under the weatherstrip. Oh, AND it was months before I could get in for the work to be done. read more

Very, very good experience here! A Seattle parking garage - the kind with 2 inches to spare on each side, an inconvenient pillar, and hidden bollards - attacked the left rear light on my car. I called them and Dustin said I could bring my car in the same day to get it looked at and get an estimate for the damage. He was very helpful and answered all my questions . The repair work was fabulous, and Mike couldn't be nicer. However, I asked for an estimate only and did NOT want my insurance company notified until I was sure the police could not identify the hit-run driver that damaged my car in a parking lot. Mike filed a claim immediately in spite of my request, causing me a significant amount of time getting the accident information corrected so that my coverage matched what I would have reported had I filed it first myself. (Also, had the hit-run driver been notified, I would have preferred to NOT have my insurance company notified as now ALL claims, even if not a cost to the insurance company, can impact one's rates.) Then he assured me we could have the car back in four days, I needed it for the weekend; had he said longer I would have waited a week. When I returned Friday to check on the car, he said, "It's a five-day job. We'll have it Monday." He acted as though he had told me that in the first place (he had clearly said "four days...Friday). - I had to "upgrade" my rental (extra cost) and in general solve another problem caused by him not paying attention to our conversations. Again, the work was great, but I will probably be reluctant to return simply because there was either lip service or a genuine inability to communicate (listening as well as talking). read more

I'm very picky about my car, so much so that I of course am careful with where I park and what roads I drive on. When I needed to get my front and rear bumper repaired due to people not leaving notes on my car, I wasn't sure where to go. I'm so glad I found Edmonds Auto Body as they did an amazing job! I can't recommended them enough! What helped sell me was that they do classic car repair and restorations! When I got my car, I can't find a single issue on the repaired area and not only did they wash my car, but even cleaned my chrome exhaust on the car! Regarding price and time, they came in just a hair under other places however they were able to complete it 1 day sooner (3 instead of 4) and I can bring it in, in under a week (though larry said when I picked up he was booked solid for a while now).
