I brought my Audi S7 to DeGrazia's to repair a damaged bumper - more costly than you might think given the intricate lower grille. After getting the estimate from GEICO for the repair there was a disconnect between the DeGrazia and GEICO estimates. Steve explained that this difference was due to GEICO not replacing the bumper but rather having it repaired at a specialty molding shop. Steve had his foreman check with the specialty company and then got back to me that they could make the repair sticking to the GEICO quote and if there were any additional costs he would let me know. Ultimately Steve was able to stick within the estimate and the bumper looks like brand new with perfectly matched paint. Fabulous job. I can't wait for someone to ask me if I know of a good autobody shop after my experience with the DeGrazia team. I needed a front bumper replacement and a large scape on a door repainted. DeGrazia's got me in for an estimate quickly, talked me through various options for repair and what would happen if there was more damage hidden under the bumper, scheduled the repair the following week, and finished the repair within the timeframe they shared at the estimate. I had gotten a few estimates prior to selecting DeGrazia's. I ultimately chose them (and am so glad I did) because of the thoroughness of the estimate and how informed I felt (I know close to nothing about cars and this was my first major repair), that the estimate came in more affordable than other shops, and that their timeline to repair was weeks shorter than other shops. I was worried it was all too good to be true, but their estimate was accurate (final price actually came in a little under) as well as their timeframe. Dear Friends and Neighbors, I wanted to provide you with a more detailed account of my recent experience with DeGrazia's Auto Body, Inc. to help you fully understand the issues I encountered and the reasons behind my dissatisfaction. I believe that my review will be beneficial for those considering this auto repair shop. I have been a loyal customer of DeGrazia's Auto Body, Inc. and had previously experienced nothing but excellence. However, my most recent encounter with them has left me deeply disappointed, and I feel it's important to share the specifics of my experience. My journey with DeGrazia's Auto Body, Inc. began when I scheduled an appointment for my car on May 18th. The first available appointment wasn't until June 14th, which I was willing to wait, based on the previous positive experiences. The appointment took around 10 minutes for photos to be taken and an assessment to be evaluated. At that time, the shop submitted the details to my insurance company. Between June 14th and throughout the month of July, there was a significant amount of back-and-forth via email between the shop, my insurance company, and myself. It wasn't until July 28th that my insurance company informed the shop that they wouldn't process supplements until the vehicle was in the shop and torn down. Unfortunately, the earliest the shop could schedule this for me was on July 31st. I dropped off my car on July 31st, expecting that the repairs would finally begin. However, within an hour, I received a call from the shop informing me that they didn't have all the necessary parts for the repairs, despite having known what parts were needed since June 14th. This forced me to go back to the shop to pick up my car and cancel the rental car I had scheduled, creating a considerable inconvenience. The shop informed me that the parts were finally available on September 5th. Subsequently, I dropped off my car once again on September 8th. During the drop-off, the shop asked if I was okay with using OEM parts, and I agreed, provided that aftermarket parts were not available. Regrettably, the shop didn't disclose its policy regarding parts at this time, which they only did after I had incurred significant costs on my behalf. The shop's policy, as clarified later, is to opt for OEM parts when they can't source the necessary aftermarket parts (from their specific vendors, even if other vendors provide the parts), even if insurance won't cover the added cost. It was only on September 21st, several weeks after they had my car, that I was informed about the approximate cost, which had risen from the initial $850-$900 estimate. When I finally picked up my car on October 6th, I was shocked to find the cost had surged from $850 to $1,400, a 60% increase, despite their initial commitment to minimizing costs. They did make a one-time concession of $150, but the fact remains that paying over $1,250 was unacceptable based on their handling of the situation. Had I known the repairs would take over 100 days and cost me $1,250, I would have chosen a different provider. Given these issues and DeGrazia's Auto Body, Inc.'s lack of transparency, I can no longer endorse their services. I strongly urge anyone seeking timely service and financial transparency to explore other auto repair shops in the area. Your trust in a service provider is crucial, and my recent experience with DeGrazia's Auto Body, Inc. has left me profoundly disappointed. Our Toyota Corola was involved in an accident a few months ago. We had severe front end damage to our car. I called around to multiple body shops in Ballard, North Seattle, Lynnwood and the East side. All were booked up for 2-4 months. DeGrazia's is a family run business that has been doing this a long time and for good reason. They went above and beyond in fixing my car's rear windshield, liftgate, and bumper. They were honest about the timeline of repairs during a period when liftgates are on shortage and got me in sooner for an estimate than any other auto body shop in Seattle. This was great because it got the process going for ordering parts sooner and completed the repairs sooner than other shops would even be able to schedule me for an estimate. They helped me make sure crash wrap was significantly patching up the rear windshield so it was still drivable while we waited for parts on back order. I call this out because I've heard that other shops hold onto your car while they wait for parts with little communication about the reason for delay in repair. They dealt with the insurance company directly to ensure new parts were used and the windshield was calibrated correctly. My repaired car looks brand new thanks to their work. Special thanks to Steve, Angelina, and Anthony who were very communicative and professional. Steve walked me through the process, including calling the day before Thanksgiving to tell me that the parts had arrived. It turns out he has a lot of experience in car insurance / appraisal work so I think that really helped to ensure my the insurance company covered the proper repairs. I also really appreciated being able to drop my car off at 6:30 am since I was working and could not drop it off during regular business hours. Our car, a Ford Escape was backed-into by the driver of a large pickup truck with a Tommy Lift on its backend. The car sustained quite a bit of damage and fortunately we were not injured. We were referred to DeGrazia's Auto Body when we called an auto repair shop that we had mistakenly thought was a body shop. The shop mentioned DeGrazia's and, after talking to DeGrazia's, we selected them to do the repair work. It took a couple weeks to get things lined up with the insurance company of the vehicle that had hit us. We took the car into DeGrazia's on Tuesday and received the call on Friday, same week, to come pick it up. Our car looks great! It is a bright red and the new paint absolutely matches the original color. The repair ended up being the whole front end (hood, side panels, grill, lights) and the price was high but no more than any other body shop had quoted. Every other body shop was booked 2-3 months out, but they were able to get me in within two weeks to look over the car and order the parts, and then another 1-2 weeks after that for them to start the repair. I argued nonstop with insurance about the repair and the parts that they wanted to put on it, but Steve kept me in the loop about everything and he and I agreed that OEM parts were the way to go so he got it done.
