I did not expect to be treated as second class citizens due to our state of dress to tour an apartment unguided. There was another couple touring and we were asked to avoid interrupting their tour. They were told we "hopefully won't bother them" and they laughed about it. Very rude imho. Also, the ceiling of the patio was quite literally FALLING OFF onto the balcony. The bathtub for the showing unit was moldy in the crevices. It smells off. The apartments seem pretty nice other than that. A little old, but oh well. I wish we had had a better experience, but I won't spend a year living somewhere that gave us such a poor first impression. Hopefully everyone else gets a much better viewing experience than us!

It's such a scam and unprofessional. You rent an apartment and hoping that everything will work in the apartment. But no, after the first use of the sink in our apartment, we found out that our garbage disposal needs to be replaced. Why would we need to find out the first night we stayed? They did change it, but only on the third day. We weren't able to wash dishes and use the sink in the kitchen, plus it was all stinking. They did fix it, but the maintenance person left track-in dirt from shoes on the floor. Will it be acceptable if it were your home? Days later we found out that our Room Darkening Vinyl Blinds were broken before us. And they fixed it by putting tape on it. Is it even normal? It's our second week in that apartment and I have no idea what to expect next. I do understand that it's not a brand-new apartment, but you can't let anybody rent it without fixing it.

Somebody's dog pooped down the hallway carpet and despite multiple complaints it took WCV over a week to fully clean it up. A couple months ago a lady was trapped in one of the elevators because it broke with her inside...and my neighbor a few apartments down from me is a nurse who has been unable to care for her patients due to the night construction. WCV has refused all of our requests for reductions in rent due to the night construction they are doing across the street and I just received two notices. One, a request to renew my lease... and the other...a notice that my rent is going up. Move here if you want to be bullied by corporate thugs.

Though to my dismay he told me he's stepping away to help manage another property of theirs and will be replaced by a guy named Harmon. Perfect. The same recipe for every property I've ever leased, wooed by someone who then is immediately replaced. But that's the way of it and it's fine. But this is where it gets fun for me. I thought we had verbally agreed to my payment of $850 being enough to satisfy and hold off on any further payment until the end of March, seeing as we agreed to a FREE month and that the end of March, the last week, I'd pay that, and only that, and at the end of the month. Then I receive a shaky, quiet phone call from Harmon at 4:45 last Friday while I'm at work asking I pay near $350 to satisfy whatever payment I have no knowledge of. I then receive no further communication, no more calls, no emails, nope just 2 large letters on my door today saying I have 30 days to pay or vacate. I don't even live here yet. We negotiated the free month because I'm leasing elsewhere and would like time to move and adjust. This payment can't be made seeing as I've paid $850 to them and near $2200 to my other apartment. I don't have the money. We agreed on terms that weren't this. I'm confused. I'm able to pay in 2 days and yeah, fine. But this is unnecessarily stressful and very poorly communicated. Maybe I'm misremembering but I'm almost assuredly not, we agreed no further payment until end of March. I personally don't feel as welcome here anymore and will probably do my best to just steer clear of the office in general because what's the point if this is how we act towards each other. I will be moving into The Villas at Beardslee last weekend in June. Apartment hunting was a…read morenightmare for me until I did a virtual tour with Kim & then an in person tour with Kim. On the day of tour, I bought a friend for moral support & Kim was answering any questions she had as well. When I picked up my keys & did a quick walk through with Kim, she wrote down & few things but when I did the walk through with my friends concentrating on everything, we did find a couple of issues. When I was completed, we talked with Kim & Hailey & Kim placed a work order immediately. Kim kept me informed next day of all the steps maintenance was doing & then I received an email from maintenance that my items were completed.. Kudos to Maintenance as well. What I also like is when you call leasing office & even though Kim is who I have been doing everything with, if Kim is not available Hailey can help as well. Believe me I am a worrier & don't like to bother people & Kim is always saying I am not a bother & that they are always happy to help & answer any questions they can. So how lucky are we as the residents, that we get the wonderful knowledge, always willing to help of these two sweet leasing agents Kim and Hailey. Kim & Hailey are a wonderful asset to The Villas at Beardslee. Thank you for making the next chapter of my life with the move into The Villas at Beardslee an easy transition.

The area is visually pleasing and has a decent walking trail. The gym is smaller than the pictures may suggest. You can get maybe 3 people working out at once and more often than not someone is in there working out.

The repair guys are pretty decent but that could be because everything is still so new. My worst complaint is about the management team. They raised the rent by $300 dollars after only 4 months! That in itself should be illegal but they found a loophole via community amenities. Then when I finish moving to my new place I gave them the keys a couple days early because I was done with everything. They charged me "accelerated rent" to the tune of $1200 just for giving them the keys 2 days early. If I would have known they would pull something like that I would've just held the keys for a couple more days. The only upside is the people who live here are pretty friendly. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy unless you just like throwing money at this place.
