This is a short 1.3ish miles out and back trail. It's probably rated in medium difficulty since the hills have a pretty heavy incline. Definitely a good spot to get some exercise in. No real views, mostly good just for quick walk. Plenty of street parking.

I never knew that a trail in Monterey Park existed. Shout out to my friend, Eric, for recommending this hike! I guess it's true that it takes a pandemic for me to appreciate the things that are close to home. The trail is about 4 blocks, connected by paved streets, but mostly sloped dirt paths. It runs roughly 1 mile in one direction and took us about 20 minutes to finish the trail. It's such a convenient and beginner level hike, I'm shocked I've been living under a rock for so long! I highly recommend this trail if you're barely getting back into exercising, like me. Or if you're into nice views of LA. I wouldn't mind bringing my family and pup to join me next time. It's about time I got into shape! Parking is super easy as well. I parked along the street and had no issues. If you're bringing your kids, this trail would be perfect with Loma Park across from it.

This is a great little trail in Monterey Park. It's a fairly short hike that includes some sandy roads and some pavement as it crosses some residential streets. It's short but there are some steep inclines so still makes it a good workout. There was plenty of street parking on a Friday afternoon. Pleasant trail as it's not too crowded.

It is what it is a trail.... It's a short trail, you do have to cross the street between blocks.. it's nice it looks like you're in the middle of no where but there are houses around but it's still niceeeee you feel like you're ina sort of prairie. At the end and beginning of every block they have water fountains for humans and dogs lol.. it's a simple hiking and walking trail .. it's pretty cool how you could see the tees change with the seasons.. the trees bloom and the grass is green, then the of course they change. Short and simple trail.

Edison Trails Park is a fun place to picnic, mountain bike & hike, featuring 11 acres throughout the hills of Monterey Park and awesome views! It's usually very empty other than the occasional dog walker or avid hiker. The trails are not too strenuous and the park is always clean. Restrooms have been updated and are cleaned daily. Also it does feature several BBQ pits which will make for an easy Saturday picnic and a small kids play area. Parking is on the side streets and the trails will lead you to another park atop the the hill which has its own parking and several baseball fields. Happy hiking!!!

Don't expect this spot to be like all the other popular hiking trails!! I'm giving this five stars because this is great little hiking trail for beginners. It has some incline as you start from the Garfield side of the park but most will be on your way back. My Fitbit wasn't working so we didn't get the distance but I would say in total it's about a mile? My best friend and I aren't ready for anything strenuous so I would recommend this for someone looking for a quick trail to start off on. The trail is between a neighborhood so it definitely takes away the nature feel but it's a nice clean area and you can see downtown LA from a distance. Good for family and a great place to bring the pups!

Super short! Great for beginners. This is a great trail for people looking for a short walk with hills or a short dog adventure. This trail is super doggie friendly, meaning there are lots of trash cans, poop bag stations and water stations. So there is no excuse to pick up after your dogs!!! If you are trailing for a race this is perfect for hill training.

This park is a 20 minute walk from me and I just discovered that there is a little hiking trail that leads to another park called La Loma park.

For adults, there are outdoor exercise equipment, which I saw are located in two separate places.. There are more nooks & crannies for me to explore that I may find in my next visit. Picnic tables are found some shaded some not, bbq grills, too. Additionally, there are covered tables and chairs as well for the community to hold parties or any kind of celebration. Walking paths are available, both cement & ground (clay-like). I noticed that there were a few sets of people doing tai chi-a few of them brought their music to coordinate their movements.
