Please learn from my mistake. Before driving an hour+ for an advertised good deal on a used Jeep, I called ahead, received all the 'Rah-Rah Come-On-Down bs', I asked all the right questions (I thought) and I came on down... met Tom the sales manager and a decent salesperson. The Car was as expected and I was ready to purchase, I agreed to pay their 'ePrice' since it was 'non negotiable' and a fair price. Salesperson gives the obligatory, "I'll be right back, I need to review with Tom". Come's back with an added $1800, 1 (ONE!) year extended warranty that was at quick glance, VALUELESS!! Oh yeah, it was MANDATORY since the 2015 car was Certified! I was gone in 30 seconds. Tom will never sell to anyone I care about. read more

Description of complaint: I brought my car in for a track that needed to be replaced in October. While there I brought up to the service manager, Joseph Ciprello, and he told me he would take pictures and submit to Nissan as the car is only three years old and still under warranty. A week goes by and I reach out to Joseph if he heard from Nissan and he informed me their computers were down. Another week goes by and I get the same response. Mind you every time I reach out to him, he takes the general manager's name out of the emails. Now my car is out of warranty. I reached out to Nissan Customer Service as Joesph wasn't trying to help me. After a couple months, they decided to decline my claim as the car is now out of warranty. I asked to speak with a higher up and was told that I was dealing with the correct person. I have submitted paperwork showing this problem started in warranty. The Dealership is not backing me with this even though I have proof that this claim was started under warranty. The service manager is a liar and the general manager isn't any better not to look into this. I actually want to sell my car and move on from Nissan due to the total lack of compassion they have for their buyers. read more

I was in last night. The online price was 23,995. They tried to charge me 33,000. $10,000 in dealers fees is not reasonable. They WILL NOT honor TrueCar price. Trust me avoid this place, and dont make a long trip here because they will not honor the price. read more

I purchased a car from Edison Nissan in April of 2022. Within two weeks of my purchase I noticed my brakes were making a very weird noise. I checked my paperwork and it stated the brakes were checked at the time of my purchase. I decided to bring it in just to be certain everything was okay. I was told at that time by the service agent that both the front and rear brakes were bad. Imagine my dismay to hear that the noise I was hearing was due to bad brakes on a car I had just bought. In any case they told me they would fix it. That was in May and then by August I started hearing a weird noise again but thought it was due to dirt as when I washed the car the noise went away. I took the car back for an oil change and they put on the report that they didn't find anything wrong with the car. The noise I was hearing back and forth never went away so today I took it back. I spoke with the gentleman who had told me it was fixed the first time and he told me they would check it out. The next thing I know I get a text hours later telling me my bill was $541.05 for front rotors and pads. I immediately called in and they transferred me to an Assistant Manager Joe Saprello. I guess this was damage control because they realized a mistake had been made the first time around. Mr. Saprello goes on to tell me that it was my fault and that it is due to aggressive braking which caused hot spots. What Mr. Saprello must not have realized is that this is my second car with Nissan and I have been coming to this very location for well over 5-6 years and have had zero issues with my brakes on either one of my cars. I also have Allstate's Travel wise on my car that detects heavy braking and none have been reported. I believe this car is in fact a lemon as I bought it with almost 10,000 miles on it and am now at 16,000. That is not enough miles to require brake pads and rotors. As a consumer I found his lack of customer service to be very inappropriate. He did not offer any apologizes and proceeded to hang up on me once I stated I would just come in and pay the $541.05. I will be reporting this dealership to both the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs. -As an update to my previous post, Cassandra the customer support manager contacted me. I do appreciate her reaching out, as it does show that they do accept responsibility when one of their employees handles a valid concern inappropriately. Thank you Cassandra. I appreciate the diligence. read more

STAY AWAY!! They advertised a loaded 2018 Subaru Legacy 3.6 with 16k miles for $23595. I said to the hubby "This sounds too good to be true." But we were going to be in Edison so we decided to stop in. Mind you I had been on the phone with Brandon (internet sales) and Jennifer (no idea what she does) and was assured this was the price of the car. When we arrived Zo, a salesman, was cordial and brought this incredibly beautiful car around. We wanted to put a binder on the vehicle and come back the next day, but they don't do that. So Zo called Joe ( I kid you not), his manager who said we should really buy a Nissan. We have nothing against Nissan but If we had wanted a Nissan there are plenty of dealerships in our area. Anyway Zo and Joe added all kinds of extra fees including a detailing fee of about $4000. DETAILING... the car was in pristine condition. The total price for the car (including fees I never heard of) was between 32 to 34K. When I told him it wouldn't be a problem (it was but I just wanted to hear what he'd say) he ignored me. So I asked Zo why they even advertised the car and the answer I got was "It's done all the time just to get people in here". TALK ABOUT BAIT AND SWITCH. The salesman to the side of Zo's desk had a sign that said "Please Yelp Us". I reminded him that this dealership had far from stellar reviews on Yelp. He said that was why he needed the review. So I am gladly accommodating him. If we could just get Larry, Curly and Moe in addition to Zo and Joe....Now that would be a team!!!!! read more

1rst of all, let me state that they do not like writing negative reviews. I have purchased and leased at least five vehicles from Nissan prior so have my children. I just purchased my Nissan frontier a month and a half ago. I recently noticed that my right quarter panel was coming out so I went to Nissan and then I also went to a body shop try to help me fix it. The body shop stated that not only was the right quarter panel out but the hood was misaligned. They opened up the hood and told me that one of the bolts had been adjusted plus they noticed paint that was not factory was on the side of the hood. First, I thought it was a car wash that may have done it but the car wash sent me a video showing the hood as well as the quarter panel was out prior to going through the car wash. Today, Tuesday, I went back to the dealership with hopes of them doing the right thing and fixing what they provided to me. Glenn the Sales Manager told me I already plead my case, and he was not gonna do anything about it. I told him that I would take the next step which is legal action, and he did not seem to care. I truly am disappointed in the way I was treated and I now have to pursue this with a brand new vehicle. If the owners what type management monitor the reviews I would like somebody to reach out to me and get this handled ASAP correctly. It's the right thing to do. again, I have a long history. Purchasing vehicles with Nissan. read more

They called on the phone to try and have me take down my negative review of my experience, I couldn't hear you over the sound of my new gtr thanks for playing yourselves again I'm really enjoying this car and the fact I didn't give you frauds a single cent! If anyone needs a good Nissan dealer give me a message! I don't know one in particular but anywhere is better than here! And stop copy and pasting the same paragraph you don't "thank me for my review"and you don't "strive for five star service" and you're not sorry hahaha if I could give you a half a star I would, complete slime in cheap suits read more

Our experience today leasing a new car from Zeke was a very good experience. He was very friendly and helpful. Made the process easy.

I just wanted to give a shout out to say thank you to Fernando in customer service for being so awesome.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, I went today for an oil change with a $29.95 coupon that Includes Genuine Nissan Oil Filter and up to 7 quarts of motor oil (per vehicle specification) and a Complimentary multi-point inspection. 1st he denied the coupon and offered me the same thing for $86 plus tax 2nd He called me after a while offering a loner car because he claimed there was emergency work which would have costed $1400, claiming that other wise the car would be broken, I declined finally I paid $92 When I drove the car I started to hear a lot of noise when increasing the speed. I called the service department explaining the noise and requesting them to ask the mechanic if the tire is loose or if he forget to tighten it and I mentioned that this noise wasn't present before the service. He didn't offer me to come back to check it, finally after 1/2 hour talking back and forth, he just told call 1800 Nissan1. I went to a different mechanic to check the car and he found that the driver side tire was loose. I called Nissan Service to tell him that a mechanic found the tire to be loose, to which he apologized. read more

UPDATE: BECAUSE OF MY REVIEW (on Google) I WAS BANNED FROM EDISON NISSAN. IF YOU WRITE A POOR REVIEW YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THEIR SHOP! I have been a customer for 3 years, and after my last review I decided to give them one more chance. I was able to make an appointment over the phone for service. I walked in and John checked me in. After typing my information in the computer he tells me "We are unable to service you.. Because you wrote us a bad Google review." !!?? He also said "We will not be able to make you happy." I was in shock! Keep in mind I drove a long way to get there, so I asked why they allowed me to make an appointment over the phone to come in. He said whoever scheduled me made a mistake and that they looked me up this morning... So I was literally denied service for writing my honest feedback! Of course I called corporate! The agent I spoke to was shocked. BUT they are independently owned so they can do whatever they want. You would think a poor review would make you try to improve your service but NOPE! Ironically they still send me those stupid mailings begging for me to trade in my car lol. TRUST ME DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GETTING SERVICE HERE. read more

After getting a flat and losing the rim, I went to Edison Nissan with no appointment. They initially said they couldn't help--my car was too old and they didn't have the part in stock; they already were booked up with appointments; they couldn't set me up with a rental because I was traveling from too far out-of-state. When they found out I was stranded far from home with my kid, they worked hard and creatively to help me. They explained what they were doing at every step of the process, and managed to find a secondhand part for me. Tyrell in the parts office could NOT have been more helpful, and he was just exudes intelligence and competence. Sometimes you can just tell when a person has a lot going on, and you could just tell he knew his job really, really well. Fernando in service was awesome--despite being really, really busy (you could see he was in constant motion), he went out of his way for me, and kept me updated whenever there was news. Seriously, if you need help and they can give it, find this place and ask for these people in particular. BTW though--please take down the "Ladies Only" side off the ladies room. I don't know if this is meant to be an anti-trans thing, but with all the transphobia floating around about bathrooms, it's just not necessary--especially because it's just a single-toilet facility, so no one's privacy or anything else is even REMOTELY at risk. No need to raise a painful, hurtful topic if it can be avoided with zero harm. read more

If you're looking for a shady dealer that doesn't return phone calls, jacks up the price of the car after you test drive it and is just overall the most unprofessional dealer in NJ, then THIS is the dealer for you!!! I'm not sure who was worse, the salesman Robert or the sales manager Nato. Either way, make sure you RUN in the opposite direction. There are REAL Nissan Dealers out there that are honest and respectful to their clients, this is NOT an honest, respectful dealership. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

Installed Yelp just so I can warn others about this place. I went in to test drive a car listed at $12,495. Showed up first thing in the morning. We were greeted by a salesman named Steve who was very friendly and helpful. After about 3 hours of test driving, we finally sat down to discuss numbers. I was incredibly confused, because the price jumped from 12495 to 18500. $6,000 in fees. As soon as I started asking questions about the fees, Steve went to get a sales manager. The sales manager, Anthony, wasn't as friendly. He straight up told us they lie about the prices online to get people in the door, then add fees to bring up the sale to a "realistic price." I started asking why they lied about the sale price and his answer was "everybody does it" and it's "just the nature of the business" which is complete bs. Then he had the nerve to act like I was crazy for expecting the advertised price, and became very condescending. I'm aware that every dealership has fees that are unavoidable, but not 6k in fees. That's just false advertising. Stay away from this dealership. There are plenty of other dealerships that are much more transparent that deserve your business. Waste of 3 hours. read more

I called before making the more than 2 hour drive down there to see if there is anything physically wrong with the vehicle and I was told the vehicle was flawless. We also asked about hidden fees before taking the day to go down there and was told there was none. When we got down there we were eagerly greeted by a very nice salesman. When we saw the vehicle it was covered in dents and dings. I was upset about this , but we still test drove and decided to negotiate because we made the drive down there. There was over $1,000 in 'hidden fees' when he came out with the price breakdown. Salesman was still eager to negotiate and the manager ended up coming out. They ended coming down on some of the fees, but wouldn't move on the price of the vehicle with the dents. read more

Their sloppy tire service almost got me killed on the road. Replaced two new tires from this place, within one week, and one got blown out and one got flat. This is not right. Their warranty only warranty the tires they sell not customer's safety or time lost. This is unacceptable and unfair. I caution the potential customers, please think twice before you go to this place. read more

I purchased a 2019 Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in August 2022. At the signing in the finance office, they tacked on numerous fees (including over $3000 for the certification)--which no other car dealer (I've purchased two other pre-certified vehicles from two different dealers before) has charged me for. They also misled me about how long the bumper-to- bumper was good for. In sum, I found them to be unprofessional, dishonest, and it yo be trusted to sell vehicles at a fair price. read more

I waited a little bit before reviewing this location. I probably visited this dealership 4 times to get things fixed. I always deal with John and he is pretty good and straight to the point. So far they fixed my transmission under warranty without any questions asked. I didn't even have to ask for a rental, it was given to me at no cost. I'm also writing this review because today I got a flat tire, they were able to accommodate me right the way and had new set on tires put on in no time. Saved me money and time at work. This place doesn't deserve a two star review IMO. We have had our share of issues with Nissan but this location is pretty good read more

I have purchases two vehicles from this dealership and provided countless referrals. Florida has always been wonderful and I feel horrible that her name is included in this review that I am about to leave. It's infuriating to work with this dealership. They take the cake with the "good cop, bad cop" act. I brought a friend in recently to purchase a car. The first finance manager was out right rude to us because she wanted to go through her credit union rather than the dealership, which is her choose and her right. Seamore than came over with another finance manager to explain the options. It's Saturday, she obviously couldn't get in touch with her bank so we said that we would follow up on Monday. They advised they couldn't hold the car, which is more than understandable. The following week my friend follows up with Florida and never hears back. Yesterday Florida told me that the car was still available and if we were ready to move forward. A finance manager then called right after and said that the car wasn't available but there were others and that she would have to come down to look at something else. Why are we told conflicting info? Is it a bait and switch? It's difficult having a conversation with anyone because they constantly want to talk over you and make their point when we are the customers and are trying to make a sound decision. Buyers beware! read more

I was planning to check out a used Hyundai Elantra, so I called the day before to make sure they still had it. I let them know I would be coming in to test-drive it the next day around noon. Before leaving the next day, I called to make sure it hadn't been sold the night before. They said they still had the car. I make the hour long drive up to Edison to see the car. Except the sales rep can't find it. He checks with finance, and it had been sold the night before. So I then had to drive another hour home, empty-handed. I understand that used cars sell quickly. However, if a customer has scheduled a test drive, you should let them know the vehicle they were interested in has been sold. At the very least, they should actually check before telling their customer that they have the car so they don't waste hours of their time. read more

After reading some of the negative dealership reviews I was on the fence about bringing my car in for service. Since it was so close to my job I went anyway and the service was excellent. While I didn't get anything fixed yet I give two thumbs up for service. read more

They are very unethical. Brought my car in for an oil-change and they wound up holding the vehicle for 8 days and would up charging over $3500 claiming that the customer said there was such and such a leak, etc. The customer (me) never said there was a leak of any kind! I would not recommend using them for any repairs of any kind. Go to your local mechanic instead. read more

I bought a vehicle here over a month ago. It was a certified vehicle. Windshield washer fluid did not work. Carpeting was pulled out of the side walls missing fob Those were the big things. They made me an appointment to have the fob programmed told me to come back in a week at 10 o'clock. I live an hour and a half from the location found my way there for my 10 o'clock appointment that they failed to schedule. Came back the next week The fob was programmed but they didn't have the parts for the windshield washer fluid pump so now they want me to come back a third time. once again, I live an hour and a half from the dealership. At this point they offer me $200 for my inconvenience, which I have yet to receive and when I called again to find out what was going on with the windshield washer pump one of the managers just ripped me apart and said I told you I would take care of it but it's been a month at this point. Classic bait and switch. My son saw a used truck on their website. The price looked good and it was listed as "certified". We test drove the truck and began negotiating for the price and for our trade in. Their trade in offers were comically low (thousands below even KBB) , and when after negotiation they made their "best offer", it turned out that the certified warranty cost an additional $4k. As a result , a truck worth $17 K was "offered" at $22 k, and a trade in worth $15k was going to credit us only $11k. We walked. Additionally , 50% of the staff had no masks on. We are reporting them to the NJ health department. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND FOLLOW-THROUGH. My mother bought a car at the Edison Nissan dealership in the fall of 2021. She is 75 and a widow. Lots of fast-talking and hidden fees were never properly explained. My brother went into the dealership after the transaction to question certain fees and they still had a hard time reconciling the bill of sale. VERY unresponsive to calls, e-mails, or voicemails. Spent way too much time trying to get someone to help. The current, still-outstanding issue is that my mother wanted to cancel the extended warranty. She sent the required, notarized document to Nissan via certified mail in Nov 2021 and they have still not removed this amount from her loan payment. She has tried in vain to contact John in Finance, Nato in Customer Service, and another manager on-site, with NO response. If this situation is not rectified, we'll be taking further action. Too many additional fees, I went to find a truck, they brought it over from another location, the vehicle was filthy, and had a broken light, and smashed in rear quarter panel. So I look at a pathfinder, and was quoted a price which was reasonable. Test drove it, and decided to purchase. After they added 4000. to the price for pre-certification and warranties. Which was a mandatory additional expense. I expressed that I didn't want to pay additional warranties. I felt that it should be optional and not a mandatory addition to the purchase price. I felt like this was a scam. You go to a dealer and expect them to have integrity and be better than Joe smoe car lot. Very shady practices when you quote a price, then when you want to buy it, add additional mandatory warranty. I would not recommend this place. read more

Update: 8/23/28 I've had issues (increasing in number after my initial visit) with my vehicle that required multiple visits since my first post. To date, I do not know if it's the vehicle itself or simply the workmanship. The downgrade in stars is for the amount of times I've had to come in to have my vehicle repaired for the same issue. That said, the customer service was still pretty exceptional at this particular dealership. Note: This review is for the Edison NissService Dept. only. I have not had any experience with the sales team. I will post any updates if & when they are necessary. Service date: Wednesday June 13, 2018 at approximately 2:45 p.m. Service Professional: Fernando S. Overall impression: Exceptional service. I would recommend this facility to a friend. Review: Customer service is a dying art. Edison Nissan, however, seems to be keeping it alive and well. Notably, the first thing that caught my eye was the mission statement on the wall. Every promise made was kept. For example, I was greeted immediately & my car was cleaner than when I brought it in. Prices were honored. The sales professionals were up front. Furthermore, a gigantic red poster with the President and Vice President of the facility is prominently displayed with a 1 800 to call in the event you aren't satisfied & or there is an issue. Impressive. Some form of accessibility. That tells me that customer satisfaction is at the forefront of leaderships mind. Not the traditional cloaks and mirrors to get a managers name! Nice, right? My car was attended to within a reasonable time, I had a diagnosis within an hour, and I had a courtesy car ready while my car was serviced. (Note the day and time of the appointment--I'm sure this varies on weekends) The service itself took less time than I anticipated & upon my arrival for pick up, I was again greeted right away and asked if I was being helped no less than by four different people. Although there was a line, I was able to return the courtesy car and pick up my Rogue within 10-15 minuets. Little things like a polite and attentive staff matter. This was my first time going to Nissan Edison, however, this has been the best dealership I've been to in the ten years I've owned a Nissan. That says a lot, because I've been to several in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia. Overall, I'm happy I decided to go. I'll be honest I was extremely hesitant because of the negative reviews, but I personally received excellent service and I'll be back. read more

Buying the car was just fine. Trying to speak to a manager afterwards to help me with an issue was nearly impossible. After having a message I left ignored, I called and asked to speak directly to a manager. I was directed to voicemail 6 times. It was only after I said that I'm recording this call, that the operator transferred me to a manager. The manager (Lou) screamed "Are you taping this call? If you are, no one's going to help you!" Then slammed the phone down in my ear. Approximately 20 minutes later, someone called me back and attempted to fix my issue. I will NEVER BUY FROM THIS DEALER AGAIN. They will kiss your ass to get a sale, afterward you'll probably notice their level of professionalism is in the TOILET!! Good luck buying from this dealership. read more
