I do think when my current lease is up that I'll probably return because of his great service. I have a recall for my car and they told me the latest I can ever drop my car off is 1:15 in the day in order to get a loaner. every other car dealership I've ever worked with let's you drop the car after work, pick up a loaner and they work on it the next day . quality of service is awful too and communication as well read more

My experience at their service center on 12/15/25: 1. I received multiple reminders re this appointment. 2. Once at the dealership, I was told that both the complimentary services had been done during my previous service. I wondered why I was not told before I came to the appointment. 3. I was then informed that there was a recall for the rearview camera which would take 2 hours. As I was there I opted to get the recall service done. 4. When the service was done I asked about the service report. I was told that a hard copy would take 20 minutes but it could be sent electronically in 5 minutes. As I had been there already more than anticipated, i opted to get the service report electronically. 5. I still have not received the service report though I have called and texted repeatedly. 6. A thoroughly frustrating experience which gave a very poor view of their service and professionalism. It was such a straightforward and routine task and they not only fumbled it and the professional discourtesy of not even responding to multiple requests for the service report, which should have been a routine automatic action in any case, left one with a poor impression of not only the dealership but also of Lexus. Today, I went to the Lexus dealership for a recall service--it's been about 5 months since I bought the car. I drove about 40 minutes to get there. After handing over the keys to the service center staff, I waited inside. About 30 to 40 minutes later, an employee came up to me and said that there was a hole in one of my tires. They claimed it was in a spot that couldn't be repaired and that I would need to purchase a new tire. When I asked for the price, they said it would be around $440. I told them I would get it changed elsewhere and left. But here's the thing--there were absolutely no issues with the tire while I was driving there. There was no flat tire warning, and the drive was completely smooth. The service staff even took photos of the car when I arrived, and there were no problems then either. Suddenly, they're telling me there's a hole in the tire, without showing me any object that may have caused it or giving me any real evidence. They just said there was a small hole and that air was leaking badly, and that I needed to replace the tire. I'm really upset because it seems like this happened after they drove the car, and I don't think it's fair. It just doesn't make sense. read more

Horrible and disgusting service. I paid $9000 and waited a month for my car. It came back filthier than when I sent it. Communication is horrible. They dont call you back. I had to go in to get a response. The first man I dealt with tried to gaslight me into thinking I could not change my mind by telling me that he already "put it in the system and can not delete it." These guys were horrible. I had a flat tire on my Lexus and needed an oil change. They were the only ones in town who had the tire size. I was charged almost $600 for the service. I then asked for a simple tire rotation beforehand as an add on. They neglected to do it and they wanted to charge me an extra $100 for it. Most places include tire rotation with on oil change. I told them to pack sand and went to Mavis who did it for free! Now that's customer service. Never going here again. You guys simply suck! Stay away! read more

Along with the other service the tire rotation was quoted at $95 which is about double what it should be and I declined. They then took the wheels off unsolicited to check the brakes and told me the brakes were fine. They also quoted $100 to change the wiper blades which I also declined and then after the car was done told me it would have only been $20/blade. They took over 2 hours to do a LOF with an appointment. And they must have dried the mirrors after a "car wash" with a dirty rag and left film on them. The sales lady Stefani is very professional and extremely helpful. However, her sales manager is awful and misleading. First day, I get an appraised value on my trade in and spend one hour with Stefani to discuss an ESH lease. Before I leave, the sales manager came on board and says he can get my monthly payment down from 468 to below 400. But I need to do this deal today. (Typical sales technique) I ask him about invoice price and he didn't say NO on that day and give me an impression that he can makes things happen because it's the end of the month and I'm a returning customer. From my perspective, the only two way to bring down my monthly payment below 400 is either from chopping down msrp to invoice or giving me more $ on my trade in. So I think it's pretty sweet deal along with the current lease rebate. The next day when I go back with my tile, two car keys, my trade in car original window sticker and insurance quote and try to get this deal done, The game begin. Right before I sign everything, I go over the number again and I find out he is playing game with me by using my trade-in tax credit (which i will get no matter what) to lower my monthly payment. (Not the invoice I was asking for from the beginning of day1). I begin to ask him how did he get the monthly payment down? He goes like why do I need to know? Really? That's the main factor I can determine if you are actually giving me a great deal or just playing your stupid game with me. If I didn't double check the number he present to me before I sign, he almost got me. No transparency at all for this manager, full of BS. At the end, he says things like there is shortage and he will not give invoice price to anyone. Well, Just say that on the first day if you don't want to give me invoice, don't waste my time and my sales lady time, I won't be bother come back next day with my tile and everything. FYI, the car is sitting on lot for 90 days, it hurt your inventory turnover and you don't want to present to your big boss next time he visit (probably end of fall) that you can't sell a new car for 3 month in a hot market like you mentioned, chip shortage etc. Plus, 4,500 rebate is probably the highest you will get this year( past and future month).And 22 model will kick in. It's the end of the month and the car is still here with the 4500 rebate going on for a month. What does that mean? Be more honest with your customer and stop playing your silly game. I just laugh in my heart when I watch you trying hard to use your sales technic on me. You did a good job entertaining me and wasting my time. As a sales managers, your job is to help your sales lady, not to get on her way. Period. To all car buyers out there. Buying preowned car, ask what they pay for auction price and if there is any reconditioning request. Most CPO will have this. Add both together and compare what they sell u for. Or look for the trade in value. Leasing new car, look at total cost you paid over your lease period and plus your residual, the closer you get to the invoice or msrp, the better lease deal you are getting. Buying New car, wait for 2022 model come out and shop for 2021 model. Usually you can save a lot from msrp. read more

I'm not sure what to think of this Lexus dealer. It's a different experience. They have the familiar amenities in the lounge while you wait for your service to performed. But the service advisors don't seem exactly friendly or service oriented. Or at least mine didn't. My service advisor was on the phone 3/4 of the time while doing my paperwork at the same time. I will say he was efficient. But it's considered rude to talk on on the phone at the same time while dealing with a customer. They have the coffee machine, bagels, and pretzels in the lounge. Car wash was conveniently down, when I really needed a wash. And they left the number tag on the rear view mirror. Maybe I'll try a different location next time, pretty interesting at the levels of service you experience at each. -_- read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP if you are looking to get a vehicle! I was visiting town and came with my sister to help her test drive a vehicle. If i could give this negative stars I would. First, all they did was hand us keys and tell us to circle around the block. Not a single time was any feature of the car explained or did it seem like any of these sales agents had ANY interest in helping a customer who drove an hour just to see this car. Even after we got back, our initial sales rep had passed us onto someone named Aaron. Why would I purchase a vehicle I know nothing about and am barely sold on? Then we worked with Aaron Goodwin to go over the finances. Not only did it seem like I had to lead the entire conversation, but also he was probably the worst customer sales rep that made me almost NOT want to purchase a vehicle. He didn't guide me through the experience, he just coldly asked what colors i'd like and said there's only 3 vehicles on the lot and that's why they are charging a premium on top of the MSRP. I had to keep prodding for further information about their inventory, what's available, what's my options here, etc. When he first provided the financing terms sheet, I asked to get a copy so I could take it home and show my parents (I also specifically told Aaron I had a hard stop within 30 minutes of sitting down and likely would not be purchasing anything within 30 minutes), then he said he would go ask his manager, to which he came back with just a small reduction in financing price and had 24 hours to decide. I asked, once again, get a copy of the financing sheet to which he didn't even say yes or no. He just coldly took the paper away and handed his card. I asked a third time to which he then just said he would write the final pricing on the back of his card, but the whole point of me asking was so I could view the exact breakdown and explain this to my parents. He purposely crumpled the paper in front of us and gave me the sloppiest of hand writing on the back of his card for the final pricing. This sole interaction made me 100% NOT want to give Lexus of Edison my business, let alone to Aaron. I'm appalled that during such times of shortages and inflation, a sales rep would be this cold and unwilling to even show a positive attitude in selling a car. So we came here because my parents wanted a car. We walked in as an appointment with Joe.. we really didn't get with him immediatly because he was busy. We did however deal with Larry right away. Larry is one amazing sales rep. Very calm and friendly. He didn't pressure us or better yet he wasn't those stereotypical salesman. He walked us through the entire car.. took us on a test drive and hung out with us for 3 hours while we waited for financing. I had my 3 year old son with me and being at a dealership for 3-4 hours isn't very pleasant. Unfortunately.. their other financing guy was out and only one guy was there to close put the deal. Daniel M. was good too. Friendly guy with us and yes.. they are paid to do that but he actually was genuinely nice. This is my 4th time to this dealership and they went above and beyond to make sure my experience was smooth and rewarding. The loaner cars are clean and reliable- unlike other dealerships. Purchased a brand new car, spent $70k and was treated horribly every step of the way. Still ironing out their mess. I had a poor experience at this dealership for several reasons. I was not allowed to finish speaking before others would cut me off or say what they wanted. I was not allowed to get a foot ahead in any sense of the word. The trade-in process was stressful, the financing process was stressful/scammy, the lack of knowledge on the part of the sales rep caused me several headaches with geico, ny-dmv, and taxation,. ** Financing manager gave me a horrible rate on a new car loan (5.99% on 60 months, with a clean credit of 860+ FICO) ** Financing manager would not let me finish asking questions without cutting me off and giving his own feedback on an unfinished question/statement. ** Finance manager tried to convince me that purchasing vehicle tire / wheel protection plans would somehow improve my credit worthiness and lower the rate. ** Financing manager did not provide closure on all agreed upon terms, was instead pre-occupied on the phone and handed me a few pieces of paper and said we're done. ** Financing manager / Sales Rep - I was called a week after I took delivery of the vehicle and already paid taxes/received my financing, to be told that I still owed over $1,000 in taxes, because the dealership had charged me NJ tax and not NY tax as they should have. This was a huge inconvenience for me to have to pay and put on a credit-card. ** I was contacted by Geico several times because my middle initial was included on paperwork when it should not have, which prevented registration, which caused several issues with Geico and NY-DMV. ** Sales Rep was uninformed about trade in process, vehicle registration process, insurance switching process, all which caused me a headache and affiliated costs. ** Sales rep unaware that insurance needs to be kept on vehicle till plates registered (hence switched over to new vehicle insurance, lapse in registration is a civil penalty + $8/day of lapse) ** Sales rep unaware that I can register temporary tags with EZ-Passs (causing me to get toll-by-mail violations and not being able to use my EZ-Pass). When I could have registered the temporary plates (tags) with my EZ-Pass and drove without issues. ** Sales rep unaware that I needed or would receive a 10 day temporary inspection sticker. ** Sales rep in general was not able to answer many of my questions. ** Used Car / Trade In Mgr was unable/unwilling to budge on trade-in value of vehicle. ** Used Car / Trade in Mgr tried to drop the agreed-upon price of the trade-in again close to finance-paperwork completion. ** Service Department was called and contacted several times about 2 concerns. I bought my Lexus Nx 300 from Lexus of Edison in 2021. I have not been to any other dealership for service, and I spent so much money there over the past 3 years. I am usually treated with care but this last time has been a nightmare! I accidentally hit a raccoon in their loaner, causing bumper damage, while my car was being serviced. When I returned their vehicle the service advisor Mohammed began to treat me unfairly. I provided my insurance and then he claimed I MUST pay him my deductible before leaving and hounded me for it. He said to contact my insurance and they would tell me the same, and they did NOT! Now he calls and says my insurance company denied the claim but when I spoke to my insurance company they denied the claim because Lexus did not provide information requested! Now I'm to cover the cost because they did not do what they were supposed to do. This is the worst experience I've ever had at this dealership, I spend too much money to go through this. I did so and had very different and very good experience. Service was prompt, this time I received all the updates as the service progressed and a video of the inspection. I had an easy time buying my car here. I emailed the dealership with a competitive quote from another dealership. They had agreed to match it to save me the drive to PA. I sent over my paperwork via email and the next day I picked up the car. Pick up was smooth, in and out in under 40 minutes. My salesman was Joe Scerbo who was nothing by friendly, informative, no pressure type of guy. I felt respected, valued, and I was treated fairly. It was pleasant and not stressful. I was impressed. This is an update to my previous review where I had encountered working with a service consultant with poor costumer service. Today I have to say my experience was almost exceptional. Deborah Negin, went above and beyond with helping me with my concerns. I have tire and rim warranty, and she made sure to help me identify the problems with my low profile tires. My tires kept leaking air slowly within a month period causing me to bring my car to get checked. Finally we determined my front rims are bent causing a low leak. Luckily for my warranty, and a great service consultant, my rims are being replaced. They even gave me a loaner car of my choice, and IS 350. The car service driver Dennis was also very exceptional. He really knew his way around town and got me to work in 8 minutes at 8 am. Unfortunately I couldnt use him to help pick me up due to time constraints and traffic. So glad I was able to return and work with such great people here. Hope to return again soon. read more

Every so often my car will tell me it's time for an oil change or maintenance, and I will also get text messages from Lexus stating the same thing. Every single time I bring it in for "maintenance" or a simple oil change there somehow needs to be 400-700$ worth of work done. The only way to stop being bombarded with the messages and pop up notice in the car is to come in for an appointment so the whole thing is a scam. You also wait forever for your car to be completed regardless of appointment time, well over an hour of waiting it is never a quick in & out appointment or a cheap one. read more

I bought my car here 10 years ago and hadn't come back for service due to me using another Lexus dealership in the area. My car wouldn't start on a Wednesday so I had AAA tow my car here due to it being the closest dealership to my home. I called to explain that I was waiting for my car to be towed and scheduled an appointment for service. Due to my service being the next morning, they said I could pick up a loaner that evening. I called twice to confirm and told them I was waiting for my car to be towed. They said I could have the loaner. My brother dropped me off and he went back home to meet the tow truck. I waited around and nobody came over to help me until a valet asked me why I was there. I told him I was picking up a loaner and waiting for someone to help me. The advisor assigned to my case was being on the phone so I waited some more. Then another advisor told me he couldn't give me the loaner since my car wasn't there, which is fine if that's their policy but I called twice to confirm and they told me I could get the car. So now I was stranded at the dealership with no ride home when that same advisor just says "ohh that sucks". I then Lyfted home. The next day the "that sucks" service advisor was assigned to my case unfortunately. He told me I could come back to the dealership and get my loaner. I got there and they explained that I would pay a $189.99 diagnostic fee to see why my car wasn't starting. Later that day they called me to inform my car started right up and couldn't explain what the problem was. Then they suggested $4000 worth of suggested work. I told him to please call me back later and I'd make a decision. Two days went by with no contact so I texted the advisor. He told me he wasn't back until Tuesday and could handle it then. Tuesday came and I decided to just repair the headlight that was out (unrelated to my car not starting) and i would see how the car ran for the next week to see if anything else would happen. I picked up my car today to pay over $300 for a headlight bulb plus the $189.99 diagnostic fee even though they couldn't tell me what was wrong with my car. Between the lack of help, the attitude of the advisors, and the price-gouging, I will not be returning to this dealership in the future. read more

It's unfortunate that as well established and loyal customer of Lexus, I was inconvenienced in the most unreasonable way within the span of an entire week. Not only was I forced to take an unplanned day off from work to bring my car to get fixed, I had to return several other times for varying reasons. The first time I returned to the dealership I was told a part needed to get replaced so I waited in the lobby. Several hours had already passed until they finally communicated that that particular part never reached the shop. In fact it was never ordered since they needed to obtain an additional part for the car. My time was completely and utterly wasted due to a lack of communication that inherently should have reached me prior to my arrival. But what was most disappointing is that a specific representative of Lexus, a customer service based company would have the audacity to treat me so rudely in person and through text message. To say she was unprofessional is an extreme understatement. Despite knowing my predicament and the vulnerable state I was in, she proceeded to be rude, impatient and crass with me. By the end of our interaction, I was so overwhelmed with disgust that I felt rushed to just pay and leave; only to be left with the thoughts of how someone like that can be allowed to work in a position geared towards customer service. If the Edison Lexus dealership has any awareness of this type of behavior and yet still allows it on a regular basis that tells me they do not concern themselves with respecting customers nor maintaining a positive reputation for Lexus. read more

I recently had to go through the process of returning my 2016 Lexus lease. I initially went to the Lexus dealership in the Princeton area where I secured the initial lease. The experience there was sub par to say the lease. Then I went to Lexus of Edison. I was promptly greeted by the receptionist at the front desk. She then introduced me to Dale Johnson the sales associate. Dale was nothing but accommodating and professional. He was patient with me and my wife as we looked at their vast inventory. Dale and the sales manager Daniel Mercado were both dilligent in helping us get into the vehicle and lease payment we desired. This was by far the most professional car buying experience to date. The dealership is pristine and clean both inside and out. You feel like you are in a luxury dealership. The entire dealership staff really treats you with white glove service and professionalism. I cannot day enough about Dale, Daniel and the finance manager that we worked with. I will definitely be a repeat customer and highly recommend others to make Lexus of Edison there first stop as you will not need to go to a second. read more

The worst service ever! My family has always been a Lexus family. I am now on my 4th vehicle. I am originally from Southern California and have always had excellent service at both Lexus of Tustin and a Newport Lexus. I just moved to NJ and set an appt here for my 10k service in June and requested a loaner vehicle. My appt was canceled because they didn't have one. Understandable. I rescheduled for today, got there checked in, waited 30 mins and then was told they didn't have a loaner. I now am rescheduled for next week. This is completely unacceptable. If you guys don't have loaner then don't offer it on your website! People have lives and things to do and are trying to coordinate their schedules. I am lost for words right now I have been going to this lexus of Edison For 6 years and leased 3 cars from them. About a week ago I hit a pothole and I drove to Lexus of Edison They quoted me $8,0000 to fix the car just on the mechanical end and then when they are done with the repair part they will send my car out to a body shop that they use. They said I would have to pay $2500 which was my deductible when they were done with the mechanical repairs before it goes to the body shop. I called the service department and asked if they can spread out the payments because of the Covid Virus I haven't worked in 3 months. I spoke to RIZ RIZVI who is the General Manager there and I asked him if he could do anything, He said he couldn't because that's going to the body shop that he has to pay and when i hung up the phone with him then he had the rep call me back and say he needs the payment now. I let the rep know that I do not have the $2500 now but I would pay it Thursday when the mechanical work was done as agreed . The next thing i get a text message from a Bob Stollsteimer saying they tried to call several times and that Im not answering my phone (there was a Tmobile Outage yesterday) and that they did not want to fix my car anymore and this morning when I woke up the loner car was taken right out of my driveway with out them even letting me know..I called Lexus of Edison this morning to see if they picked up my Loner car this morning or was it stolen and I get this Guy Frank Noaln on the phone that keeps repeating that Lexus doesn't want to do business with me anymore and when I asked why he just spitefully repeats the same thing.. read more

Stay away from this place. I would never buy anything here again. This company sold us a damaged vehicle and lied to us repeatedly. We bought a used car from them. They told us that they had all of the extra keys for it, but couldn't find them at the moment and that they would mail them to us as soon as they were located. They never arrived, so we called several times. They decided the keys must be lost and that they would have them replaced. Of course no replacement keys were ever sent. It sounds stupid, but having them replaced would cost us over $500. THEN we come to find out that the car they sold us had 3 old tires and 1 new tire. This was my first time getting my vehicle serviced since I moved to NJ from NY. While I wanted to love this dealership as much as the one I previously used, I cannot say such positives about their Service Dept. Upon walking in, the team was very impersonal. The entire experience was impersonal actually. When they were checking me in, I was asked what I was here for, I explained I need a 30k service- he asked me, just the oil change? I said no but what's the difference- he said "one is more expensive". What kind of response is this. I continued with the comprehensive service obviously because that what I came here for however that was not helpful . While I was waiting for my car service not one person spoke to me- not even about my vehicle. I was inside and I received a video of my car with little to no explanation of what I was looking at. I spend my time driving the car, not under the undercarriage, I have no idea what I'm looking at- hence my visit to the service dept. They recommended 2 additional services in the video- again ZERO explanation and I'm not paying for something I do not have reason for. After the video I got a phone call. Why would I get a phone call if I'm sitting in the waiting area? Then I'm offered the same 2 services - again ZERO explanation. No thanks. Side note, as this is not a big deal, but definitely not the standard of Lexus I have come to expect- the waiting area didn't have any snacks. I have seen Honda dealerships with free chips lol. They had racks for snacks but no chips or fruit. Nothing. I was sent a text my vehicle was ready and went to pay. I was handed a gigantic book of a receipt to sign. Again no explanation. Zero explanation. No words just - give us your money. In the past I have been shown by a technician an iPad with the diagnostics and he explained everything they were going to do and were looking at and why I needed XYZ. I checked our and they drove my car up and practically hopped out and ran away. No words exchanged. BIZARRE. I received my car back, and it was still dirty. Whenever I got my car washed via Lexus, typically they wipe down everything... it was almost as if I had left my vehicle in the rain and it got a little rinse. There was still bird poop on my windshield and driver side mirror. And a mud splash on the front. I know they didn't do more than a rinse because I took a napkin and was able to remove the mud and the bird droppings. Perhaps Lexus of Freeport set the bar too high? This is just not the standard of any 'luxury dealership' I would expect. I would rather go to Jiffy Lube next time. At least they will tell me what I'm paying for and what else I need. read more

I found Lexus of Edison to be a terrific place to lease or purchase a vehicle. There were no games, gimmicks or hard sales, just a direct approach to negotiating a deal which is satisfactory to both the dealership and the purchaser. We had a bad experience several months ago with another Lexus dealership in the Freehold area that continued to pay games with both the equity in my old lease and huge mark up in the sales price. I highly recommend Andrea Arias, she is a terrific person to work with in negotiating the deal. Independent and no need to get the sales manager involved.
