Truly honest people. Went from Queens NY to Salit Auto Sales in NJ. Bought a car that I really like on the spot. Paperwork went smooth. After a couple of days the car had a minor issue. No problem, I could take it back to NJ or take the car locally for estimate. It was hard for me to take the car back and leave it there so I opted to take it locally in Queens NY. Bought a car from Mike - love it! 3 months later the hood flies open while Im driving - luckily no serious injury - a dented hood and broken windshield wiper (quickly replaced the wiper) Went back to Mike when it appeared that at some time the hood had been removed and obviously not reattached correctly. We were happy when he said he would work with us to repair the hood. We found and bought another hood and when we called Mike to let him know he said that he would no longer work with us - it was our responsibility. Have been having my 2011 Nissan Pathfinder maintained at Salit Auto since I purchased the car. Would never think of going anywhere else. They are one of the most honest dealerships/repair shops I've come across. When I needed new tires, it was between Michelin and a lesser known brand. Mike, from the repair shop told me the Michelin were not worth the money and the lesser known brand was as good. I've come into the shop from work around 3:30 and they fit me in for an oil change. I purchased a used Mercury Grand Marquis a few months ago. Nice looking car nice ride. They hid the real problem, the water leak! I expect issues with used autos. I also expect honesty. They hid the leak! The front driver's side mat was present when I looked at and was paying for the car. When I drove the car away and on the highway, I realized it was removed. It had to be soaked with water, the floor was! They hid the leak, to sell the car. I have since repaired the cause and dried up everything. Greed breeds dishonesty. Problems unknown, ok! Wow. What a place. I test drove 23 cars and ran the gas out of all of them. They still let me buy a sweet ride and fueled it up for me too. I spent four days with my salesperson, didn't shower the whole week so I really admire his tenacity. The coffee was thick as non synthetic motor oil after 20,000 miles in a crap engine. I love this place. What a freaking hoot all of the people are. They didn't even mind that my kid kept honking all the horns in the place. 10/10 would recommend. I never bought a used car before, so I was very wary. The process couldn't have been any easier. I got a fair price for a fully loaded 3-year-old car with only 12,000 miles. Nice leather interior and features I would not have asked for in a new car. I've had the car for four years now. Runs great; no problems. If purchased new, I would have spent at least $15,000 more and now have a four-year old car! What a savings! The guys there are great. No pressure. I took my time looking at a bunch of cars on the lot, even taking my daughter to try out the back seats. The cars are priced at the market rate, so there's no need to sweat over haggling, always the worst part of the car buying experience. The family lives in town and I see them occasionally, so it's in their interest to have happy customers. Can you imagine what their lives would be like if they sold lemons to the community?
