Service staff are very nice but I am not always sure they are telling me what my car really needs. Prices are super high.

BUYER BEWARE!!! THERE IS A REASON THIS DEALERSHIP HAS a 3.7 RATING!! The "floor Manager" coerced my wife and I to give a 5 star rating before the transaction was complete!! and its obvious why, once they sell you the car they disappear and avoid you! they have the worst customer service, so this floor manager is essentially BUYING reviews which goes against FTA law to try and make them look good. Ive been getting the run around from Glenn and Alex for 2 months! they broke a part on the car I bought made it seem like it was my fault but after a photo review It turned out they were LYING!! they told me they would reimburse me after I bought the part and still nothing! With mixed emotions I write this overall positive review. I was looking to purchase a used non-Nissan branded vehicle that I found online and saw at their dealership after passing by. Was almost the exact vehicle my wife and I were interested in purchasing and was mean to replace our current vehicle. The advertised price (in NJ) always seems to be a low price to drag you in and then you get hit with the $3-5k "dealer fees"... that's the game and you should always know this going in! Also, you need to know values, so do your homework, and know what your walk-away price is... Well, this "ain't" my first rodeo and I know how to "ride the Bull-s#%t". Luckily, we met a wonderful salesperson "Corey" who made the entire process tolerable and pleasurable. Due to him, we spent 4+ hours trying to get to a place to review, test drive, and close numbers on the car. Well, bottom line is, we couldn't get there. The entire deal came into play and with all variables, a trade-in, price of the vehicle, CONDITION OF THE VEHICLE, and after market warranties, we were just too far away. Could not close the distance, as I know what values were proper for my purchasing decision, and what other units are available elsewhere. Their pricing was ultimately very fair, just not the deal I was hoping to get. Again, I praise my salesperson, Corey, who was as disappointed as I was that I was not driving home in this new to me vehicle. The 2 major critiques that I am compelled to share are 1) They had this used vehicle for many weeks... it was very dirty... the rims were filthy and never washed for months from previous ownership... 2 run flat tires were at 24 PSI and one of them had a gash in it... no spare tire, that was supposed to be equipped with this car... oil spilled all over the engine cover (this is a Luxury SUV), carpet in trunk stained and also ruined in an area. The rear seat middle armrest cup holder compartment was glued shut! Same with the cigarette lighter in the front tray... could not get either of them to budge. Even the service manager couldn't. Also, a small hole in the leather on the door... None of these things were ever discussed, disclosed, and it was super disappointing to find the car in this condition. Otherwise, beautiful car. SUGGESTION: get some soap, sponges, water, and armor all and clean your vehicle BEFORE you advertise or show it. It costs zero to do that. That's why this place gets the 3, otherwise I would have given a 4 or 5. The above is the main reason I would NOT close the gap on the car. I was concerned there were more "hidden issues", whether known or unknown to this dealership. I wanted to hedge and protect myself... car was 4 years old and 41k. Should not have looked like that, as a luxury SUV. Hope this helps them and anyone considering shopping here. I recommend them. Just do your homework first and stick to your deal. read more

I'm writing this as more of a cautionary tale than a personal complaint. I walked into the dealership believing I was purchasing a car for $23,000 and ultimately drove off having financed $33,000. I understood there would be additional costs like tax, gap insurance, and processing fees--but I was not expecting a $10,000 difference from the number that originally brought me in. To be clear, everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional on a personal level. I don't have a bad word to say about anyone individually. However, I do want to speak about the overall business process. The sales approach starts by asking what you're comfortable paying per month. From there, the conversation consistently centers around that number while the total price quietly climbs. Even after agreeing on what feels like a final price, you're then handed off to the finance manager, where the same strategy continues. The paperwork moves quickly, and documents are presented for signature one after another. There was also a heavy focus on the extended warranty. It was strongly emphasized throughout the process and made to feel almost necessary -- as if purchasing the vehicle without it wasn't really an option. Despite clearly and repeatedly declining the warranty, it was still added into the final paperwork. By the time we reached the breakdown sheet, it was already included in the total. One of the final pages includes a full breakdown of costs--but if you're not intentionally slowing things down and reviewing every line carefully, it can easily come and go. By that point, you're excited to drive your new car and mentally committed. In my case, that excitement cost me an extra $7,000. I take full responsibility. I should have slowed down, asked more questions, and reviewed every document line by line. But I'm sharing this because many buyers--especially first-time buyers--may not realize how easily this can happen. My advice: Before stepping into any dealership, watch car-buying education videos on YouTube. Understand financing, add-ons, warranties, and how monthly payments can be structured to mask the true total cost. Go in prepared, or you may find yourself in the same position I'm in now--writing a review hoping someone else avoids the same mistake. I typically use my internal vendors for vehicle purchases but I thought I would snag a deal myself instead and build more relationships. I now remember why I don't take this route. Advertised a vehicle 10,000 under true price which was excessively inflated. Don't waste your time. UPDATE: I got a call from the Steve, the store manager. He opened threatened me on my recorded business line stating that "I don't want to leave you a bad review on your business after you leave one on mine, then we go back and forth" that it's "not good business for anybody". Dear management: we have very well recorded interactions and understanding of Google as a review platform. We have the ability to track reviews to a single device. If i at any moment find that anyone from your establishment leaves a review, our legal team will be calling yours. Update after ownership response: It looks like yet another feeble attempt to disregard a real review. After search DNS on some of your post, this makes complete sense. I am requesting a full audit from google of your reviews considering the destination of many are from oversees, which makes complete sense after this shameful attempt to remove a review and silence a REAL customer. I typically refrain from naming individuals unless they are personally liable in the deceitful act. However, in an attempt to reclaim trust in my review status, and the tactics Edison Nissan deploys, I have no choice. The attempt they are making as an organization I have seen before in another business that I operate in. This is where you claim that this is a competitor trying to reduce your google score and therefore, should be removed as a fraudulent review. I spoke with Jesus at first from online sales (find attached proof). He of course did not follow up which again, now makes complete sense. I then spoke with Bic (like the pen he said) who I believe is a collateral damage in this post as I do not believe he did anything wrong but was my direct salesman (photo proof of interaction and number shielded to avoid breaking google forum rules, plus he did nothing wrong per say). Steve on the other hand is the store manager or finance manager. We had a brief interaction when I arrived when I asked where the bathroom was and he responded "you have to buy a car first" Joking back, I said "I have a blank check in my pocket" Which in fact, I did. After our later interaction, im wondering if this comment was inappropriate after meeting someone for the first time. Steve is the one who ultimately down and tried to sell me on the $10,000 increase in which I replied that this is a bait and switch in which I don't have time for. I asked if we could both respect each others time and make the deal that was promised. They came back with another offer which is when I parted ways. Bic shook my hand and I walked out the door, sat in my car before leaving for my next destination and wrote the review. It is then that Steve, the manager, called my on my work line (which is recorded) where my assistant picked up and transferred him to me. The reason for the call could be only one of two things. 1. they wanted to move the vehicle before end of year or 2. To ask to remove the review. Based on the interaction I had at the dealership, I assumed it was the latter. Unfortunately, this was the case as Steve said "its not good for either of our businesses" Knowing well that he was trying to scare me into removing the review. I also had this on speaker at a competitors office, along side being recorded so that if necessary I was able to take action where applicable. Final Notes: After reading the response from management I decided to check the listing as I was sure that it would be removed by now. Unsurprisingly, it was removed and is no longer listed after being exposed in person, and now on the internet. I have attached all applicable proof. I invite you all that read this lengthy review to call the number. VoIP may be deleted by now. RUN AWAY! You can clearly see that I spoke to edison on numerous platforms. Do not go here unless you want to be lied to and charged unnecessary fees. Their online price is marketed as the low end to get you in the door. Then everyone of their sticker prices on the cars is 5-10k higher which serves to trick people who don't do their research and just walk onto the lot. Starting negotiations the salesman asks what you would like to pay a month. Avoid this at all cost and do not say a word about monthly payments it is unnecessary and they use this to try and get more month out of customers. Next after consulting the sales manager, you with be hit a "mandatory PDSI" $3,999 fee and a $2,999 "optional" certification fee. Both of these fees are BS fees. I ended up verbally arguing with the salesman and left shortly after. Words of wisdom when buying a car: During the whole 4 hours I was there, I seen one dummy scum salesman hold up a stack of cash and call out to my salesman and say "I whipped him into shape." - Salesman are not your friends and are testing you from the minute you walk in. - Check the MSRP so you know how much your car is. - NEVER speak to salesman about monthly payments, its better to look at the TCO (total cost of ownership) and the final price of the car which u can then just divide by the monthly terms to figure out your monthly payment yourself. - Avoid almost all add on cause a car dealership is not going to give u a fair price with most of the add on. - DO NOT BE AFRIAD TO ARGUE AND TO JUST WALK OUT. read more

One of the worst Nissan service centers I've ever dealt with. The staff is unprofessional, does not listen, refuses to accept their own mistakes, and tries to overcharge customers. I went to Edison Nissan only for an oil change and tire rotation. I later received messages recommending additional services, which I initially refused. During a follow-up phone call, I agreed to a brake fluid flush but was told they needed written confirmation via text. When I received the confirmation text, I changed my mind after realizing they were overcharging and immediately replied in writing that I did not want the brake fluid flush and only wanted the originally agreed oil change and tire rotation. Despite my clear refusal via text, they went ahead and performed the brake fluid flush anyway. When I refused to pay for an unauthorized service, they refused to release my car and continued to insist that I had agreed on the phone, completely ignoring the written message where I explicitly declined. read more

let's talk about infinity and Nissan of Edison I bought a used 2014 Buick regal and boy let me tell you about the scheme artist these people are. i get every car has sales taxs doc fees and all the dmv stuff you need to pay for. but when I sit down to talk numbers and they hand you a paper with bogus fees like if you don't live 5 miLes from the dealership the charge you a fee of a 1000 not a college graduate 500 fee if your a loyal customer 750 fee and if you were ever in the military 750 fee so if u don't apply to all of those things they try to charge You for that I literally had to argue and go back and fourth with them for them to take that off like if they were doing me a favor . It gets better on top of that they tried charging me for the maintenance of the car where no where on the website or anywhere listed with the car do they say u have to pay for that. why should I be paying for maintenance someone else did to a car . When u buy a car you pay for what its worth or what its going for. It's all sales tactics. so they can over charge you and on top of seeing the mechanical fees, they did to the car nothing had prices for everything they did to the car . so how the hell do they get $2900 for mechanical fees? well anyways to sum up what happen my father in law called me and told me to just leave they are scheming you so I ended up leaving and I couldn't even tell you how many times they called me to come back long story short i came back we made a deal just for the price of the car doc fees and the dmv stuff they ended up over riding the mechanical fees supposely and not even a week later one of the mechanical fees where the windshield wipe and I already to replace them . lol so obviously all the stuff on that sheet it was b.s these people are scam artist and and if I wasn't in need of a car so bad I would have never bought a car from these people ! if anybody higher up or general manager of president or vice president is reading this I would love for you to contact me . The sales manager talks in circles and when you call him out on inaccurate information, he just makes up excuses that make no sense. They are not allowed to negotiate sales over the phone, nor will they take a down payment to hold a car because "someone could walk in and buy the car in the meantime." From top to bottom horrible. I brought a car March 2025 got my warranty and now im having a issue. They swapped out my warranty without my knowledge. They had to pick up my vehicle from a different place because the warranty I had was not valid and needed to be fixed my them. They didn't pick up vehicle until two days later no one from nissan called or advised me my car was picked up or what the issue is. I called them a week later for an update because I had not heard from anyone. The service person told me it was being test driven and would call me back that was at 10am guess what no call! Do not trust these people I truly don't want them to fix my car because I don't trust them. Customer service is garbage from management down. So I have to drive an hour to them to pop up because no one will get on the phone and tell me about the status of my car. read more

I bought a used car from this dealership in 2021, and they never gave me the title. Now that I'm trying to sell the car, I find out I never even received a title in the first place! On top of that, Carfax shows the car has had one previous owner, which was different from what was said when purchasing. I tried calling them for assistance, which was a nightmare. They transferred me four times, wasted my time, and then just hung up on me without any explanation. No help, no solutions, just terrible customer service. If you're thinking about buying from them, BEWARE. They do not care about customers once they've taken your money. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

Took my car in for service had to get new brakes. I was driving on the highway and started hearing noise. Stopped at a local shop they put my car on the racks asked me if I had recently got brakes done. I said yes and they told me my tires had not been tightened my tires could have come off. Mind you we called last night to verify the truck was in stock and that there were no hidden fees..we were assured truck was in stock and no additional fees besides taxes and dmv- so beware BDC lies as well! Don't buy a car here. They don't check the used cars that come in. They just put them back on the lot and resell them. Six months after purchasing a car here, the check engine light comes on with a list of problems. It makes sense now why they ask you to give a rating before you even walk with the new car. The salesperson I was dealing with no longer works there, as I've emailed and called and haven't received an answer. They give car salesman the bad name. Let me start by saying I rarely leave reviews... but the experience that I had at this dealership was so horrendous that I need to warn other people about them. We recently leased a Nissan Rogue. The salesman was fantastic - we loved working with Demarcus. However, the Sales Manager, Jimmy, was not wonderful. We arranged a really excellent deal and after running a credit check and setting up the insurance, Jimmy came back to tell us that he "forgot" to add in tax. Thus negating the lease payout on our current vehicle AND adding an extra $20/month to the lease terms. I'm not sure how a Sales Manager could "forget" about tax, but here we are. We needed a car so we proceeded. They "detailed" the car for us before giving it to us. In the morning after looking at the car it was clear that this was a rush job. There's plastic, adhesive and stickers all over the car. There's dirt all over the car and what looks like pollen all over the hood of the vehicle. I called the dealership 3 different times attempting to reach Jimmy and NEVER got a call back. When the insurance was inputted for the new vehicle using the app, however they chose to input it ended up raising our premium SIGNIFICANTLY and we received zero explanation for that. And finally, part of our deal with Jimmy was that ALL DMV, motor vehicle fees, taxes, and first month's lease payment were to be included in the down payment that we arranged. When our plates came into the dealership (on the LAST DAY that the temporary plates were valid), we were informed that there would be a $75 charge to pick up the plates... which Jimmy conveniently forgot to mention, just like he forgot to calculate the tax on the vehicle. (This is a charge that I had never heard of from any other dealership, nor had any of my family members or friends). Allegedly, Jimmy miscalculated the weight of the vehicle and inputted the weight for a sedan when we leased an SUV. And somehow once again we were responsible for HIS error. We called back the dealership and spoke to a service manager who transferred us to the finance manager. The finance manager told me that he needed to go double check with Demarcus... even though I heard from Demarcus later that day AND HE WAS NO LONGER WORKING FOR THE DEALERSHIP. Once again, I never received a call back. When we went down to the dealership, Jimmy was extremely unpleasant to deal with. He was rude, interrupted me multiple times and talked over me to prove his point. He was argumentative about the $75 and after checking with his superior to waive the fee, he came back abruptly and told us to have a nice day without ever actually telling us what the end result would be, before storming away. This entire experience was so unpleasant. Stay away and do yourself a favor if you do decide to get your next car from Edison Nissan - DO NOT deal with Jimmy. He's dishonest, manipulative and argumentative. read more

We went here after seeing a reasonable priced used car online. My company has a service where you receive additional discounts. Not only did they refuse to honor that (which was successful at other dealerships) but they significantly increased the price of the car by about 5k. That was for their marked up extended warranty we didn't want. I got up to walk out 2x. If it wasn't for my spouse that did all the research, I would've left empty handed. Our sales person was trying to help us out but hinted that this bait and switch was common. We FINALLY came to an agreement (more than what I wanted to spend) and got the car. They owed us the 2nd key which was never received. I called a few times to get it without success. It wasn't worth the headache to deal with them and their run around anymore. I cut my losses. Brought my brand new (71 miles) truck in on Friday July 7th. Was told it may be done Friday or possibly Saturday. Saturday I'm told sensor needed to be replaced and car would be ready between 3-330. No call from service, I call and am told will be ready Monday. Monday I call all day and leave messages, no return call, finally talk to someone who says can't help you, service advisor (Joe) and technician gone for the day. So no one else could help? Or even give a status? Told to call first thing Tuesday morning. This is how Edison treats customers, now you can understand their terrible ratings, and apparently they could care less since I have not seen an improvement in reviews. I lost my brother back in June, returned his truck on July 20th that was leased through Edison Nissan. A call was placed to Nissan corporate to send a copy of all necessary documentation and we were told that everything would be good from an employee at this location. In the back of the truck were car parts we were unable to bring back with us since we were from out of state and already had a lot of stuff to bring back that belonged to my brother. We told the guys that they can do with it what they will because we needed to get home and had nobody to take it or store it elsewhere. These parts included a brand new exhaust and a 2 inch lift kit. Someone here messed up big time because not only have there been multiple phone calls received about the truck, but today a repo man showed up to my mother's home over 1,000 miles away and they threatened to take HER vehicle because edison Nissan failed to do their job correctly. The truck has been in their possession since July 20th, 2023. This is ridiculous. I will NEVER recommend this shit show of a location to anyone. read more

I had my first ever accident, which totaled my car. So I needed to find a new car as quickly as possible. I had my eye on a Nissan Rouge and headed over to Edison Nissan to check it out. Everyone there was very helpful. We worked with Dave who helped us get a great deal. Dave had a lot of integrity and did everything he could to meet our demands. At no point did we feel cheated or swindled by him. He was upfront and honest throughout the whole process letting me know what could and couldn't be done within my budget. My cousin is a car dealer and he confirmed for me that the deal I got was beyond excellent. Here's hoping I don't have to buy a car for a long long time. But if I do, I hope Dave is still around. I contacted the leadership here via voice mail and email in late June early July (crickets) I also contacted Nissan HQ. I was in for repair in May and had my front brakes replaced. I stopped at a garage on my way back from cardiac rehab at a local garage. The gentleman said give him a few minutes he would put the car on the rack. The tires were not tightened, and would have come off, he did not charge me but could not tell me how much damage was done. The worst service department I've ever dealt with. I brought the car in for a dead battery and tires. They added things to by Bill I did not approve. They said one thing was leaking so I told them to do all this work and it turns out that was never leaking, something else was that they replaced. Service I did ask for they didn't do. They broke other parts I had to pay for. They had the car for 4 weeks then I get it back and it starts leaking all over the place. They also damaged my exhaust. The review I noted AFTER driving an hour + to the dealership is exactly what I experienced today with just a change in the car price. This was for a 2018 used Acura RDX that is advertised at $22,959. Copy and paste .... I went in today to look at a car listed for $22,959. The website says, "Price includes all costs to be paid by consumer, except for licensing costs, registration fees, and taxes.", but after my test drive when it came time to buy I realized that was their bait and switch lie. They acknowledged the $22,959 price and then added $3,995 for a "certified warranty that protects me and them" and $2,995 for PDSI. End copy and paste. When I told them the sticker on the car stated "Certified Warranty" I was told, "No, it states Pre-Certified Warranty, and to get the warranty it will cost $3995 for the 7-year 100K mile is $3995." Now get this, the warranty is for 7-years from date of manufacture and the car is already 5 years old. So they are charging almost 4 thousand dollars for a 2-year warranty!! Even more of a scummy move is the PDSI which they NEVER MENTIONED UNITL WE WENT THROUGH ALL THE SALES RIGAMAROLE. The total of all the HIDDEN add on pricing was 1/3 the price of the USED 2018 Car! I checked Edison Nissan's reviews and unfortunately there are a bunch of other people with the similar stories, so here I am adding my story to the list. Buyer beware. What they do may not be illegal, but it's unethical, immoral, scummy, and this place exemplifies the quintessential Used Car Lot with unscrupulous behavior. read more

Hard ppl to negotiate with. They tried to pull a fast on me, camouflaging numbers and trying to make me pay taxes on my own car that I'm selling as a trade in. Promised a price on my car to catch me, when I got to bill of sell, the price wasn't been honored. 3 days in a roll back and forth, 4-5 hrs daily for no deal. And fast they are been pushy to make me sign a contract and and kept telling me to go home with their vehicle with a lame excuse that I could go home with my own car because they had sold it already (without me sign any paper work). Very disappointed with that fact that I wasted 3 days of my time over there and I as business owner and operator, had to leave my good customers waiting on me. However, I liked the price and sent the email notification of interest in the vehicle. I get a call from the dealer and almost didn't answer. I'm glad I did! The conversation didn't start well though, (honestly). I explained to this dealsman (not salesman) that thanks for calling but i'm tired of the same snake oil tricks, the bait & switch, the get right down here etc......... I explained that I would not enter another dealership that wasn't willing to talk numbers or make deals on the phone. It's 2025 and that just how things are being done now days. Long story short, Alex listened to my will & will not list and told me that he'd call back. Sure enough, he called back shortly after and we made a deal with my own financing that was great for me. The only thing that was a bit iffy was the $3,000 car prep fee. Once I inquired about the fee, it was explained to me that some work was done on the car and a car fax was sent to me detailing said work. It wasn't $3,000 worth of work but, we agreed on a price for that too! I cannot speak to anyone's else experience at this dealership but, mine was very pleasant without stepping inside of the place. Today they had a car listed for about 38K, I called the dealership and asked for the price, They told me 6.625% Tax, 700 Documentation Fee + DMV fees. I calculated all and it came up to around $41.5k. So I decided to stop by for a test drive with intention of buying the car. when I went there the sales man want 53K. It is almost 12K more than what they quoted on the phone. These are bunch of CON ARTISTS. Stay away. read more

I'm very happy with my purchase of a certified 2020 Nissan Rogue at your establishment. Samuel Abbey is truly a genuine and professional sales consultant. I told him what I was looking for and he directed me to exactly what I wanted in my next vehicle purchase. I asked to take it for a test drive which showed me he wasn't at all pushy like most sales consultants I've dealt with in the past. We kept a very direct to the point conversation and then shook hands to close the deal. I couldn't tell who was happier Sam or me. Even the finance gentleman named Greg who is located upstairs was easy to speak to,I heard what he had to say and explain but also liked that if I declined my decision was respected. Please learn from my mistake. Before driving an hour+ for an advertised good deal on a used Jeep, I called ahead, received all the 'Rah-Rah Come-On-Down bs', I asked all the right questions (I thought) and I came on down... met Tom the sales manager and a decent salesperson. The Car was as expected and I was ready to purchase, I agreed to pay their 'ePrice' since it was 'non negotiable' and a fair price. Salesperson gives the obligatory, "I'll be right back, I need to review with Tom". Come's back with an added $1800, 1 (ONE!) year extended warranty that was at quick glance, VALUELESS!! Oh yeah, it was MANDATORY since the 2015 car was Certified! I was gone in 30 seconds. Tom will never sell to anyone I care about. read more

Description of complaint: I brought my car in for a track that needed to be replaced in October. While there I brought up to the service manager, Joseph Ciprello, and he told me he would take pictures and submit to Nissan as the car is only three years old and still under warranty. A week goes by and I reach out to Joseph if he heard from Nissan and he informed me their computers were down. Another week goes by and I get the same response. Mind you every time I reach out to him, he takes the general manager's name out of the emails. Now my car is out of warranty. I reached out to Nissan Customer Service as Joesph wasn't trying to help me. After a couple months, they decided to decline my claim as the car is now out of warranty. I asked to speak with a higher up and was told that I was dealing with the correct person. I have submitted paperwork showing this problem started in warranty. The Dealership is not backing me with this even though I have proof that this claim was started under warranty. The service manager is a liar and the general manager isn't any better not to look into this. I actually want to sell my car and move on from Nissan due to the total lack of compassion they have for their buyers. read more
