Called ahead to come in to test drive a Taycan and Cayman. Salesperson was more intereested in promoting the new Macan. Was told he would need to get permission from the manager to test drive the Taycan or Cayman but he never even tried to do so. So why lead me on to come in. Another local dealer readily allowed me to test drive both cars. Not impressed at all with the customer service at this dealership. They are the worst. My parents have a Cayenne. They had a oil change service for over $500. With that, they said all the fluids were topped off. After a week, a light flashed saying that the coolant was low. Obviously fluids were not topped off. For that amount of money you would think they would be more careful at their work but they just want your money without doing the work. They went back another time because they had a mysterious rattling sound for them to check out. They had to take it there because there are no other dealers closer. The service guy took the car for several hours and came back and said the brakes need to be repaired. The car was less than 50k miles. My dad said ok to change the brake shoes. They said no they had to change everything including the rotor. It cost them $1700 to change the 2 brakes (not all 4!). That would have been ok but the rattling sound was still there! They took it back and the service people couldn't figure it out! My parents felt ripped off because they forced them to change the brakes for no reasons. My cousin, who has the same car in Long Island, told my parents his dealer are able to change his the brake shoes not the whole part! For a place that fixes fancy cars, they don't even give loaner cars. This is the only car my parents own so they spent many days without a car waiting for them to rip my parents off. So if you can help it, AVOID THIS PLACE. Especially if you're an elderly immigrant. They will find a way to take your money without giving you the service you need. read more

I made an appointment for my Cayenne S with a loaner service to this service center as my regular Porsche dealer did not have an earlier appointment ... ... on the day when I showed up, they told me they could offer a shuttle but not a loaner. Loaner service is reserved for customers who purchased the car from the dealership! I have been servicing my cars in dealerships across the country for over 30 years... never heard loaner service is only reserved for the customers who bought cars in that dealership. I said, "I was hoping to test drive the stick... I haven't decided yet but I think I'm leaning towards the stick". He then proceeded to inform me that I would NOT be allowed to test drive the auto. Please do not ever allow this location to service your vehicle they damaged my vehicle scratched the rim split the tire and scratched the bumper lip. Luckily I have a lift in my garage where the truck is kept and noticed it right away they forgot FORGOT to complete my 30,000 mile service notice the warning signs on during pickup. Also I caught 5 of their service rep recording 360 degrees of my vehicle and license plate with their personal phone. So please understand they do not follow any PRIVACY LAWS your license plate number and address can be in jeopardy the manager Fred Dellafemina stated to me that he is taking ownership of the damage but when he seen the cost of the parts he stated " I just cannot accept it happened here " he then called back today to say he is willing to fix it not replace it. I told him your team scratched my rim that was 1990.00 and you guys sent that out to be repaired without my written permission. I told him if I have to accept that you are not repairing a part that's over 11,000 and now that they are faced with this matter he just bullied me , judged me and pushed me in the corner. He refuses to acknowledge my concerns about my privacy rights. He ended the call and stated to have my lawyer call his legal team. I assume he feels as if he represents Ray Catena Legal Team. They gave me a quote over the phone for my trade which they stuck to even though my car which was ordered to my specifications came in four months later. Mike Marinelli my salesman was honest and didn't attempt to up sell me anything. When I picked up the car it was spotless and perfect. Not a single item needed to be addressed. While I avoid jersey at all costs () I will return to them for another car purchase and highly recommend them. Mind you I have three porsche dealers close by and did not purchase a car from them. Had a terrible experience with Mario. He was extremely rude and impatient to us. All he cares about is selling what he has in the inventory to us immediately, not to help us find what fits our need. Before test driving a cayenne, he asked are you serious about buying or you are just test driving cars. I was like "excuse me?". After trying to sell us what he has right now several times, he finally agreed to help us try building my own. I made a mistake and when I tried to change my build, he even said the f-word to us. When we asked about if there is discount he said no and simply left. I was shocked and did not expect to walk into a porsche dealership and be treated worse than in a dmv. Except bragging about how fast he can sell cars and describe cars using words like this car is a beast/monster, he knows vey little about Porsche. He did not know what a PDK transmission is and knew nothing about the difference between the upcoming 2022 macan and 2021 macan models. Conditioning on some good reviews on Mario, I bet with 90% confidence I was pre-judged or he is a racist. If driving a bmw to a porsche dealer will be judged, nvm I will stick with my bmws. I work in a relatively aggressive industry and not the type of person easily offended, but Mario really surprise me! The management team is very responsive though, and we got to work with Raymond later. Raymond is very knowledgable and help us analyze whether Macan or Cayenne fits our needs better. He is enthusiastic about driving and knows the difference of the models very well, not only the technical numbers on paper, but the real differences in driving experience. Gladly have it back (had to pay for roadside to tow it back it me)..... 5 Days later...... Same issue happened..... tow it back to the dealership on JUL 24,2019..... and still havent been looked at until today.... todays date is aug 5 2019. I have to say my experience with the Sales Department and specifically Brian Arnot set a very high standard for the service team to live up to. I have been waiting for over a week for a return call from my rep Doug despite my calling twice, emailing and letting him know I had a concerning transmission issue on my $100k plus porsche. But it gets even worse: Doug told me I could NOT GET A LOANER despite my having a brand new Porsche-not even if I waited a week or a month-even though I could not wait so long given the possible transmission issue. Doug did hound me down, by calling and emailing me for me to complete a survey so he can look good, but didnot have the decency to call me back to schedule an apt for a transmission problem. I called princeton porsche and they helped me right away, scheduled an apt and gave me a loaner. I am VERY disssapointed at Ray Catena porsche service. read more

I happen to find this dealership while looking to get into a used 2018 GTS that Porsche of Roslyn, NY has and was selling for just 3000 under what the car cost new. While looking for a better deal I found that this dealership at the time had a 2018 GTS new that was cheaper then the used GTS that Roslyn had. This did not sit well with me but at the time the cost of both cars was somewhat out of my range. While talking to Maurizio Biondo of Ray Catena he informed me that they had a new 2018 911 Carrera S coming in that was right where I could afford. He then moved the selling of this over to Josephy Genty and without even seeing my trade he matched what Roslyn was going to give me for it. I really wanted the GTS from Roslyn but we were fighting over another 2000 they wanted me to come up with to get the car. Once the Carrera S came into Ray Catena I quickly went down to check in out and fell in love with the Red Leather interior. The car at 420 HP instead of 450 that the GTS has put me off a little but after driving it I felt I still had enough HP to get into trouble. They were able to give me a nice discount on the new car that made the deal even sweeter. These guys were great to deal with and was like we knew each other already. When going to this dealership I highly recommend seeing Joseph who's great to deal with and will get back to you if you have any questions ASAP. My only issue is the distance from NY I had to travel to get into a Porsche. When I get into another Porsche they will be second on my list to go to. That's only because Roslyn Porsche is still closer and I feel they've learned from their mistake in fighting over 2000 dollar. I've had my Carrera S for almost 3 weeks now and the GTS they were trying to sell me is still sitting there without a buyer. Go Figure :-) read more

On October 1st 2018 I blew a tire on the highway leaving Manhattan. I called Ray Catena to get help to get a new tire and repair some electrical damages done to my car by the blown tire. The lady on the front deck told me she could not give me any appointment before December 1st unless I got my car towed in. Told her this was not necessary given I could drive and come by. She advised me to get Porsche insurance to tow my car and repeated that first appointment possible was December 1st - a statement she kept repeating when I pointed out the absurdity of spending money for nothing regardless who would pay for it. Therefore made an appointment to another NJ dealer. One star to shame Ray Catena - they couldn't care less about customers and the ladies at the front deck (this was not my first interaction with them) seem to believe their job description is to ensure customers don't bother the folks in the dealership. I have no issue with the sales team when I purchased the car they where fair and mostly honest ;-)! My problem is with the service department on Main Street in Edison NJ I had to take my car twice to this center and both times I was told I had to wait almost a month for my broken Porsche to be serviced (under 20k miles) forcing me to have it towed to the center to be made a priority (waste of resource and proves they are dishonest since they can see the tow same day but can't take it until a month out of I drive it in!!!) They are nice when you get there and I have no issues with treatment but they are just poorly run!!! I needed a transfer case replaced which is a common problem and have to come back in future as they can't get parts!!!! So now I am forced to drive a very expensive luxury car that performs like a humpty for the next few weeks and or months UNACEPTABLE!!!!!!!! read more

There are a lot of problems and difficulties that I met. One of the problem is that the price for the car and discount were different on phone. Compare to what I heard, when I came to Ray Catena. Also Joe Germino (Sales Manager in Ray Catena) was extremely unpleasant, disrespectful and pressure about price range, and discount. Another problem was with Faith Fontaine (Sales Relationships & Marketing Consultant in Ray Catena) whose spent around 50 minutes to bring us to storage, where all cars staying. Seems very unprofessional for Porsche! Nevertheless, after 500 miles my new Porsche had a problem with some "block/detail" that fall out from the bottom of the car. Which made me very scary and lost. However, Chris Violante (Certified Brand Ambassador - Sales Professional in Ray Catena) told me that it`s fine and all Porsche has this problem. For me as buyer of the NEW Porsche it is not acceptable. I would be ok if it is all problems, unfortunately NO! Right now I can not drive my new Porsche because my plates still did not arrive to me. Hopefully it will arrive soon. I called to Ray Catena to get some information from people who sold me THE CAR, but it was impossible because Joe Germino currently on vacation and Chris Violante out of the office. brought my new cayenne gts for service. in addition to the usual over priced service charges they quoted me 100 to replace the low profile tires with snow tires that i already had on rims. they actually charged me 240.00 and charge for windshield wiper fluid (that i didn't request at 3 times what it should cost at walmart) when i objected the service manager said he would look into and then never returned my 3 follow up calls. i sent email to Mr. Catena and it never got past his secretary who did nothing about my issue.
