I received a large fruit bouquet from friends that was 50% inedible: some fruit was sour /slimey and the pineapple was fibrous, unripe scraps perhaps cut from the core. I attempted to contact customer service and their online form did not accept my feedback no matter how I modified the order #. So I called the store instead, spoke with a confused employee who noted my concerns and said the manager would call me. No response. Do not order anything from this store ! I ordered a fruit arrangement for our best friends who lost their father. I ordered from the Edible website so I had no idea what store would be fulfilling the order. This is my first, and last time, ordering from Edible website. I picked out a fruit arrangement based on the picture from the website. Our friends sent us a picture of it to thank us and it looked nothing like the picture from the website. There were many open spots where you could see the greenery. The picture on the website had no open spots. There also was hardly any chocolate covered fruit on the one they delivered where as the website picture had a lot. They had txt me saying they delivered it so I txt them back saying I was disappointed with it and why. The person txt back "the photo is an internet photo that may not pertain to this order". I said "The photo on the internet is what people think they are buying when they place an order. That photo is from Edible arrangements website. That's misrepresentation". They never responded. I went on Edible website and filed a complaint on the order. They sent me an email with a reference number and a phone number to call. I called phone number and it gets routed to the Stony brook store. I ask to speak to the manager and was told she will call me back today. Manager never calls me back so I called again. Excellent customer service. There was a glitch in the delivery due to the recipient being in the hospital longer than expected. The owner worked very hard to accommodate. She agreed to hand deliver herself in an insulated bag after hours to ensure the freshest possible product. The product was delicious, well-made and very appreciated. Will use this company again. I have been ordering from this location since I moved to the area. I always order chocolate covered strawberries for my daughter birthday every year and redeem my birthday rewards here. A few weeks ago I decided to redeem my birthday reward. This was an extra special treat cause I had just literally given birth 3 days after my birthday. I go insides and show the guy my email with my birthday rewards to redeem. He then proceeds to go in the back and get someone. I'm guessing he was the store manager or owner who knows. He comes out and ask for my information. Somehow I'm not in their system. He then states due to COVID we are only taking existing customers. I said okay that shouldn't be a problem this isn't my time here. He states again we have no record of you. Then some how he says you redeem your reward here before but since you not an existing customer you have to go to another location. By far the worse customer service I have ever received. I definitely felt like I was not welcomed in that location and they was just using COVID as an excuse. I wish there was a way to leave 0 stars because that is what this location deserves! I ordered a birthday arrangement for a coworker to be picked up the day before her birthday so I can bring it into work with me the next day. At about 1:50pm I get a call from the store asking if I could come pick up the arrangement early because my order was the last one they had waiting for pick-up and they would like to close the store early. I told them that would not be possible as I was at work and I work in the city. They said well the store is closing early and I would need to get there by 4 if I wanted my arrangement and if not I would have to pick it up tomorrow. I said that wouldn't work as I have to be at work by 6am and need the arrangement to go with me. I suggested that they deliver it to my home as my kids were home to receive it. They told me that would be. $14.99 charge. I said don't you think you should waive the fee considering they were the cause of the inconvenience. They said that is not possible as per the boss. I said in that case have your boss call me. A woman called name Shaza claiming to be the owner. She told me that the employee told her I wanted to come at 5:30pm which I never said. I told them that my original pick up time is 4:30 and also the website says they don't close until 7pm so I shouldn't be rushed to pick up at 4 as they were trying to do. She said the website was wrong and they have a sign on the door saying they close at 5pm. I said I ordered online, how on earth would I know what time the sign on the door says? I also told her what they were doing was not right and unprofessional. At that point she lost it! She yelled and screamed at me like a psycho, telling me it was her store and she'd close it whenever the hell she wants and HUNG UP ON ME. Then I get a voice-mail stating from Shaza saying they were canceling my order, calling me a problem customer and to take my business somewhere else. I called back asking for the corporate number to make a complaint and was hung up on by another employee who refused to give his name before doing so. I tried calling back but they now were not answering. THEEEN I received a call from a man also claiming to be the owner. I thought that he was calling to help resolve the matter, boy was I wrong! He started yelling at me as well saying that I was harassing the employee!! I said this is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever had the misfortune to do business with and he responded by calling ME the unprofessional one! Huh?! WARNING They have delivery issues. I was told that they don't have a driver available and it's too far to deliver. I guess it's probably the rise in gas prices, but I don't know. I picked up the fruit basket the next day. I was told it would be ready by 1pm. I got there at 1:30pm and had to wait 25 minutes for it. They gave me $10 back for the delivery fee. The owner calls me today (friday, about an hour prior to delivery time) and tells me they don't make arrangements with pineapple or bananas. She blamed corporate for allowing it to be ordered on the website. When I asked her about my options she stated that she's only giving me strawberries, even though that is not what I ordered. When trying to decide what other fruits I wanted to do she got hostile over the phone saying things like "oh my god can you make a decision i don't have time for this", and "I have 100 fucking orders to so hurry up". She then proceeded to yell at me on the phone pressuring me to make a decision and getting angry when asking about my options. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION! The absolute worst customer service, the owner actually hung the phone up on me! My order was apparently undeliverable due to the recipient not being home. I received an email that stated "delivery attempt unsuccessful, but we are going to try again, we will attempt to get in touch with the recipient to RESCHEDULE DELIVERY." By the time I saw this email the store was closed for the day. The next day they called me asking if I was going to be picking up the order, I said no, I would like it redelivered. I got the run around "I only make the fruit, the owner will call you back." I stated I do not need the owner to call me back, just resend it as per your policy. The owner calls me back, exceptionally hostile. She informs me she has two witnesses with her as she makes this phone call. I explained how I want the order redelivered. She went on a tangent stating that since the recipient wasn't there it's not in their policy to leave it at the door due to the heat. I said then why didn't anytimecall me? The owner insisted that the driver has worked there for 14 years and he is great, so she knows he called and left a message. There was no call or message. Horrible customer service! Management does not know how to treat their loyal customers and do the right thing. My order was supposedly left on the recipients door step, which was not requested in my order. My recipient never received it. When i called the store, the manager was extremely rude and told me that they did what they were supposed to do by delivering it and i was out $55. I called the corporate office and they said that nothing is to be left on a door step unless the customer requests it. This branch of Edible Arrangements went ABOVE and BEYOND with their customer service. I ordered a tray of the chocolate covered strawberries to be sent to my friends house in the morning as there was a death in the family and the wake was going to be later in the afternoon. Well, I didn't realize that my friend was not going to be home as she was taking care of last minute things at the funeral home. Well this branch tried delivering three times at the house but could not get anyone at home. They called my cell phone while I was at the wake to let me know. They then DROVE TO THE FUNERAL PARLOR which was not near their store whatsoever and delivered the tray of strawberries personally!! Now that is what I call dedication and wonderful service!! Great chocolate covered strawberries, though I was disappointed to find that the strawberries used for Mother's Day weren't fresh at all. They were too ripe and the taste was off. I was purchasing a thank-you gift for the local oncologist's office over at 2500 Nesconset Highway but they only had chocolate-dipped strawberries pre-made. I stopped by here today around 2:30 PM. I am 30 weeks pregnant and was craving chocolate covered fruit. I walked into the store and the guy who serve me was very sweet. I asked them if they sold chocolate covered fruit separately without having to buy a full arrangement. He was very helpful and asked me exactly what I wanted. I ordered three chocolate covered strawberries and three chocolate covered apples. I told him I was craving it all day he said not a problem he would make it happen. It took about five minutes he had put them all in a box for me and actually made me an extra one so I could eat on my way home without having to open the box. Had a Mother's Day arrangement sent to my mom for Mother's Day and it was delivered to the door at 7pm on Mother's Day. I was leaving my parents to go home house and then Guy finally shows up and made the excuse that I was delivering from 7am in the morning. You can't tell a paying customer that excuse . Most deliveries are delivered by 2 in afternoon but I called up to see what the deal was and guy says almost in area and showed up an hour and a half later. I ordered an arrangement to be delivered to a grieving family . I spoke with the owner directly and asked that the delivery be completed by 11 am as the family would be leaving for the funeral home. The owner was quite friendly and assured me this would be taken care of. I was quite surprised when the owner's son called me the next day at 1 pm to he say had just attempted delivery and no-one was home. He was not apologetic and then claimed the van had broken down. When I later spoke with the owner , she admitted the van had not broken down but rather she forgot to tell her son about the early delivery. After numerous phone calls, we were finally able to get the arrangement delivered at a time convenient for the family but this involved me having to leave the funeral home to make the phone calls. My pick up time was 9:30AM but I decided to get there early (9:15AM) and see if my order was ready. Though the store opens at 9, the doors were locked at 9:15AM despite the sign saying "OPEN." No one was at the front desk, either, when I looked through the door. When I went back 15 minutes later, it took a few minutes for someone to come out from the back and assist me. When I told her I was picking up an order, she was confused and went back to check if I actually had an order. She brought out the receipt and said she'd "wrap it up." I'm assuming she was putting the fruit together because it took almost 15 minutes and the fruit did not look like the picture of the basket I ordered. Additionally, the note I had written to be included was not there, which didn't surprise me. The cantaloupe tasted sour, as well as the pineapple. The chocolate covered strawberries had dents in the chocolate and it was obvious this piece was not made carefully. For $60, this was absolutely not worth it. I wish I could get my money back.
