Beautiful store. They sell a variety of things from home decor, tea sets, children's toys, books and Christmas ornaments. Ebeneezer Smith (founder of the store) is a descendant of Richard Smith (Founder of Smithtown). Ebeneezer built the store in 1857. He died in 1884 and left the store to his son Everett Smith. It was nice to see old/vintage items and the history hanging on the walls. The store was beautifully decorated with period pieces. The old charm was there. I stayed a while looking at everything. There was a lot to look at. I easily spent over $50 here (only buying two things). I didn't mind since what I bought from here is one of a kind. A tip: there are no public bathrooms here. Also, there's additional parking with a sign with its hours of operation. Pricing is high, but reasonable. The first time I came, I just browsed around for a bit. I took note of what I liked and did research on it to check for prices and such. After a week of finding nothing better in price or anything similar in fashion, I realized that it was one of a kind and unique...so I went back and bought it :) I recommend visiting this store. It's nice to go back in time.

Established in 1857 by Ebenezer Smith, who was a descendant of the founder of Smithtown, this is one of the oldest general stores in the US. The oldest is Gray's General Store in Rhode Island, established in 1788. Today, as it has done since the second half of the 20th century, the store has sold various late-Victorian-era artifacts. The second floor contains old books and children's toys related to Long Island history. I loved perusing and learning trivia about such niche and random villages and towns. The first floor is more sporadic, ranging from fall decoration to jewelry to purses to candles to candy to home decor to greeting cards. The prices are a little high, but reasonable, if you find something you love. I got a little cinnamon-scented candle for $7 and a fake garnet ring from their birthstone ring collection for $4. The candle burned for about ten hours, and the ring broke easily a week later. Oh, well. Service is nothing special. They're just there to ring you up. The vibe is cozy and colorful, though.

This store has unique items. They even have an area dedicated to xmas upstairs if that's what you like. There's candy of course . The workers are very helpful .

Adorable general store dating back to the "Smith" (of Smithtown) family in the 1800's. Different "giftable" items like serving dishes and tea sets from Ireland, Christmas ornaments, old-style childrens toys, hand made candles, lavender sachets, picture frames. Old-fashioned candies in the jar that you can pick and fill a bag. Salt water taffy, fudge, licorice strings, home made chocolates, jams and jellies etc. If you're in the area and need a dose of nostalgia or a nice hostess gift, stop in.

This original trading post or general goods store is the oldest in the USA for continuous operation located in the heart of the north shore of Long Island in a quaint town I had the privilege of growing up in called Saint James NY. Once a tiny town with one traffic light, full of small family owned farms. Still stands this historic landmark. Opened in 1846 by the Smith family, this store still has its original charm and character Christmas time the store decorates for Christmas the entire second floor. Candies of every kind fill the class jars, hand made soaps, delicate towels, wooden children's toys. A real threat for children or adults wanting a sneak back into time. House wares, dolls candles are sold here while old items are up high for display. The beaches and horse farms are just down the road, so this was our Sweet treat in the summers after a long day at the beach. Come see what treasures a wait you here.

Well it seems Elias Läderach is the only Swiss chocolatier to have earned the title "World Chocolate Master". Dang.. he's like the Rocky of Chocolate?! I have to make sure there are no nuts or fruit in these chocolate pieces. I walk in to, what feels like chocolate heaven. There are so many choices! The counter person was helpful, I explained this gift is for my aunt and needs soft, delicate chocolate pieces. We chose a nice size white box that was wrapped in black lace. Very classy and it was the perfect gift for my aunt. I was offered a sample of the chocolates in the display case, I asked for a champagne truffle? I can taste why Elias Läderach is the World Chocolate Master. That chocolate was fire! Great chocolate shop located in the Smithaven Mall.

I asked for one sample and then right after I asked for a second of a totally different chocolate because I wanted to compare before making my purchase. As soon as I did this she said "you cant ask for another you cant get 3 and 4 you would have to get the variety pack". I said I only had one sample so far and I want to mix and match my own chocolates. How dare she. This place is not cheap and I wanted to make sure I purchased something I enjoyed. I ended up making a purchase that I was satisfied with because the other worker in the store was kind enough to allow me to sample 3 flavors in all. Chocolate is fresh and delicious but this worker left a bad taste in my mouth.

Please notify your server if you have a food allergy; they were very accommodating to my table with my food allergy and notified the kitchen staff to not cross contaminate. The food was good and it was fun to be surprised with the menu of the day. We had a curry soup, hamachi crudo, surf & turf, and a chocolate dessert. Bill - this was the downfall for the night. Out of the 4 items on the bill, 3 of them were wrong. The price was listed on the menu but the charge on the bill was more; I called ahead to know the corkage fee (which i was told was $35) was charged $45; I also was charged for an extra glass of wine when ordered only one. Whether you're an ice cream enthusiast or just have a sweet tooth, Mickey's has something for everyone: traditional ice cream, cakes, hand made pies, premium pints, non-dairy options, and their famous ice cream sandwiches (yummm). There were so many flavors and treats to choose from that it took us a while to decide! I loved seeing the grab-and-go pints, such a great idea for busy families or for bringing dessert home. Before making my final choice, I sampled the cookie dough ice cream (which was rich and packed with doughy pieces), but I went with a scoop of Java Chunk in a cone with chocolate sprinkles. The flavor was spot on! A perfect blend of coffee and chocolate chips. My niece opted for her all-time favorite, cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles. The look on her face was pure joy. We took our treats outside and enjoyed them in the seating area, which was spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing on a sunny day and making the most of the beautiful weather. My niece told me it was the best day ever when we were enjoying our ice cream, so safe to say this place does it right.

The site of ice cream came into my vision as soon as I walked into the shop. How heavenly everything looked! I really didn't know what to choose because everything looked sooooo good and yummy! I was standing in line forever, trying to decide, when my eyes suddenly landed on the most scrumptious, most marvelous, most extraordinary flavor. When this flavor came into my gaze, I almost started jumping with glee. "VANILLA!I" I almost screamed. I felt like I grew wings and flew high into the atmosphere. I couldn't wait to order. When I went up to the nice lady at the counter, I ordered a vanilla soft serve with gummy bears. The wait wasn't too long, which was just magnificent. I got my ice cream and ran to the out outdoor tables. The sun was just about to set so it was the perfect time to be outside. There were picnic tables with fairy lights and gravel, which I just loved. I felt so cozy. But now it was time to eat my ice cream. I opened the lid and took a gargantuan bite. My eyes wide and and my mouth opened very wide in awe. A little scream actually came out of my mouth. It was DELICIOUS!!! I wanted to scream and dance and singand leap onto a table, but I knew I couldn't make a fool out of myself. I felt like I reunited with my dog after eight years, that's how good it tasted. I was so happy I came to Mickey's ice cream kitchen. I started to text all my friends to come to Mickey's and that the place was just wonderful. Overall, I rate Mickey's a 1 million out of 10. I mean, the shop was amazing. All of my dreams have been fulfilled and now, all I can think about was that ice cream. I have to go back soon. I 100% do RECOMMEND.
