The workers showed up early each day as promised and did a wonderful job. I also loved the progress picture updates after each day of work. AAR had the best contract and price after sourcing multiple quotes. We even got the upgraded Solaris shingles by booking by a certain date in October which was awesome because they refract more heat in the summer. We added new gutters on for 4k too. If I had any constructive criticism to offer it would have been to communicate more with the placement on the gutters because we had to have them come back to make a patch and move the gutter to the side because it was better looking on the side of the house rather than a focal point in front. But as promised, they made it right and got the job done with my particular request. Our house looks so much more updated with these Morie Black Landmark shingles, rather than the old terracotta tiles that we had before. I've already referred 3 people to their company and my parents got their roof done by them a month later! It was a bummer they wouldn't honor a referral discount since they said we would have needed a sign out on our lawn to get a discount. I didn't need a new roof replacement but asked anyways. Said my roof is old, but still looked good. So I accepted his bid because I value honesty. Turned out to be a nail in the single, but landed between the plywood sheets underneath from 15 yrs ago. I guess over time the nail expanded and contracted make the hole big enough to let water through. They have a 3 yr warranty on the repair, but hopefully I don't have to use it.

First of all, I called because in the last rain storm we had in the Bay Area, we found evidence in our ceiling of a water spot in the drywall. I searched the yelp and was looking for roofing companies that had at least a four star rating and was quickly intrigued by the five star rating of Atlas Roofing. I called and immediately received a little bit of guidance on the phone and was given an appointment for the next day to have somebody come out and take a look. The next day Dave came out and spent a good amount of time looking on the inside of the house, going through the attic, and walking on the roof itself to look and see if he could find the leak and also to gauge the condition of the roof and the wood foundation underneath the wall roof. I originally was hoping to just repair where the leak was, but after talking to Dave I realize that it would be better to just replace the entire roof. My roof was already 30 years old. Dave gave me clear options to either repair the hole or replace the whole roof, and within that there were several options to choose from in replacing the roof. He carefully explained the process, the amount of time he anticipated the job to take, and what I could expect. Everything that Dave said and explained was 100% accurate. He is professional, knowledgeable, and very good at explaining things in Laymans terms The job started the following Monday. The crew was very efficient, very professional, and worked at an incredible pace. They cleaned up after themselves every day. By the end of the first day, the old roof was off and the wood base was exposed completely. At this time they were able to show me that there was no need to replace the wood underneath the roof. By the end of the first day they had started to place some of the new roof on the backside of my house. Within three days, the entire roof was finished. Dave and his crew handled all of the inspections from the city, pulled all the permits needed, and took care of everything from beginning to end. I could not be more happy with the quality of the craftsmanship, the crew, and of course, the roof. Having a 50 year roof and a piece of mind is important during these times. I did not plan to have to replace a roof (I don't think anybody does) but I am happy that I found Atlas Roofing. I would highly recommend this company. I know a lot of people cut corners and I know a lot of people find a cheap alternative. I truly believe you get what you pay for. I can go on and on about my experience, but I think pictures are worth 1000 words. I wanted to be detailed in this review because most people will only replace a roof once or twice in their lifetime. It's not like we have a lot of resources or experience with this. Dave and Atlas Roofing are worth the time and investment that you put into this. Multiple inspections with photos, videos and even a drone! Before the project started rain was in the forecast and they kindly came and placed a tarp over the flat roof. We hired Bay 101 Roofing ~10 years ago to re-roof the flat part of our roof (around 1,250 sqft),…read moreinstalling frame to slope the roof, insulation and torch-down material. The roof held Ok for 8 years, but leaked in the south and east corners of our home 2 years ago. Bay 101 made repairs under warranty. It leaked again last year -- and again was repaired. This summer I checked roof condition and found that it now came apart at the west side (photos 1, 2). On top of that, there were bubbles in the middle of the roof. Bay-101 told me that the reason for continued issues is that the material they used poor quality material and switched suppliers. However, the roof is no longer under warranty and I have to pay to replace it. We had to re-roof again! I hired another company to do the job and during the tear-down they found that while framing and insulation was done well, the torch-down material was installed on top of insulation (fire hazard) and also wasn't fully treated (as seen on photos 3, 4 and 5). The new installers told me that another layer of material (i.e. plywood) on top of insulation was needed to ensure torch-down material would hole. This cost me another $3,500 on top of the cost of re-roofing to get the insulation covered. I am not happy with the poor work done on my house by Bay 101 Roofing, to put it mildly!
