    Carnitas tostada
    Mike E.

I can't handle complainers who may have simply ordered the wrong thing for them. These small businesses are full of hard working people who are trying to make it on their own. I love their carnitas tostadas. A tostada needs to be eaten in the restaurant to maintain crunch. Their's is delicious.

    Neat and clean, but .....

I've always enjoyed eating at new places, especially when it comes to tacos. When I entered the establishment, I was greeted right away, but with very little excitement. Not as the second customer that came in after me. Of course, it was his bday and he seemed to be family. Here is the thing. If we all learn to treat everyone with the same energy, it makes everything worth going there. Secondly, it could be someone else's birthday, but no way to know that right? That's why treating everyone with a good level of energy, and a smile makes everyone feel welcome. And yes it was my bday also. The place is very near and clean. They had good music, and it was nice. The waitress took my order, and that's where I was a little shocked. She was polite, but I ordered four tacos, and a Pepsi in a can. Nothing was really offered and I saw they had fountain drinks after. So, four tacos. Small tortillas, asada, and one Pepsi in a can. $17.00 plus dollars. Wow! I get the inflation times we are in. I know that the prices for meat, have gone up. I know that the overhead cost may have gone up also, but four small tacos with a Pepsi can should not be $17.00. That's as much as a carne asada plate. That's at least 5 to 6 ounces of steak, a spoon or two of rice, it often comes with beans, a small side of veggies like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, avocado, and more often than not, sour cream. How does 8 small tortillas, with a small portion of carne asada, and green salsa compare to that in cost? Not even in labor. How can families of four or six fit in pictures such as these if they live paycheck to paycheck? How did the tacos taste? I've had better for a third of the cost, at a restaurant (current time), but they are not bad. Cut the oil back that drips out of them as you eat them, and it would be a bit better. Take some of the fat out and replace it with meat, and it will be a better quality taco. The price, I know it is only my personal opinion, but the math does not math-up. This seems to happen more often now because people have become slightly careless, and greed is everywhere in today's world. The last statement is not directed to this restaurant at all, but it is in relation with the food industry everywhere in our present day. Do I recommend them? Yes, of course. I am only grading one dish. Not the entire menu.

My daughter enjoys their chicken taquitos....very expensive $12 for 4. I told she needs to find a more reasonable priced place.

The littles were asleep in the truck already, so we just ordered 3x carne asada super burritos and a kids quesadilla to go. Service was fast, friendly, and on par with our expectations. The carne asada was way more flavorful and moist than expected, and the burritos were delicious. The kids quesadilla, was just that- plain tortilla and cheese. Two (8 inch?) tortillas and a little bit of cheese melted in the middle. It wasn't much cheese and was surprisingly expensive for what it was, in my opinion. I definitely think this place has some yummy food and the service was good. Overall, I'd recommend Taqueria Ripon if you're in the area.

We also got free chips and there is a salsa bar. Everyone was kind and nice to our group. One of the kids spilled their blue Gatorade and they quickly cleaned it up. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in town for a soccer tournament!

The inside is very classy chic with a Mexican twist . I went during the week so it was happy hour . Their happy hour is pretty sweet ! It's from Monday - Friday 4-6 pm, Dine-In Only . They offered $10 drinks and also $10 appetizers. I ended up getting their tacos de papa from their happy hour, which is two tacos, but they are very fulfilling. They're very delicious and I did not see them in the regular menu so if you go during happy hour, it's definitely a must try. I also ordered Jesse's favorite, which is a Chile that looks like a chille relleno, but it's not instead of the egg it has a cream sauce on top and inside it has ground beef . My dad ordered the fajitas which they came with a side of cilantro rice and beans and also all the fixings like guacamole and stuff. Let me tell you the fajitas meal was huge. You could definitely share it with somebody else. I have to say their portions are very generous. For drinks they have beers margaritas my mother had a Chavela, which is beer with lime. I'm not a big tequila fan, but they do have a full bar so I just changed the dirty linen drink for Gin instead of tequila and it was very delicious . The service everyone was really nice and attentive. Overall, we had a great dinner my family and I we had a lot of food and a lot of good laughs. I would definitely come back. I have to say I love their tacos de Papa and for them being on happy hour it's a win-win.

Friendly waitresses! Our food was on the table within five minutes or our order being placed and we dined on a Friday evening when all tables and the bar was full. Green sauce was an easy four stars red was a two stars for me. Green has more spice to it! My date got the La Compuesta salad, he loved his. He ate the whole thing which I could not have done. I took half my burrito home. The beans they serve with chips are delicious as you see in others reviews too. The salsa however left a lot to be desired. And what I've learned in my years is that you should never expect good quality, authentic ethnic food if the main demographic in the restaurant are white people. That's not saying anything bad about white people, but most of us don't know any better! We think Taco Bell is Mexican food and panda express is Chinese food... I had high hopes because the bean dip and chips were really good, but we were terribly disappointed with the nachos... It's definitely not what we were expecting. The portion sizes are ridiculous... But that's kind of what I have come to expect in Americanized Mexican restaurants. Definitely will not be returning... We wish the food was better, because the service was pretty decent.

They offer keto tacos, so I ordered one asada and one chicken taco. Really perfect blend of Jalapeno heat, rich melted cheese, a tosted tortilla shell and drizzled with cool avocado sauce. The place is really clean. That is a good sign. My carne asada burrito: I'm going to give it a B. They could grill the meat with a little more char. Some of the meat looked like they cooked it at too low a temperature so it was more boiled than grilled. The way the burrito was built, all the ingredients were mixed and mashed together. There was no seperation of flavors. However, the flavors were good and the ingredients are fresh and high quality for sure. Service is an A.
