UPDATE #2: The company fixed our walls free of charge and we are in the process of filling a claim for the damages to our stuff. UPDATE: I have been contacted by the company who have said they will repair the damage and we are working on the claim for the damage to our belongings. Will update again when that process is done. We moved from Colorado to Virginia. The guys that came to pack up our stuff were fantastic. Very fast and packed most of our belongings with care. The crew that came out to unpack our belongings on the other hand did not care one bit. Not only were our things damaged, but they also damaged our walls in the process. I would strongly advise anyone considering Edens Moving Company to look elsewhere. Our experience was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I have ever had. During our move, the movers damaged two TVs, a table, and a dresser, and they also failed to deliver our weight set. When we contacted the company, customer service representative Danielle had the driver call us directly. Instead of resolving the issue, the driver told us he had no intention of bringing our weights back because we were "too far out of the way." When we asked what he could do to make the situation right, we simply told him the value of the missing weights. His response was, "Fuck that," before arguing with us and hanging up the phone. (Driver name: RIchard) Thinking customer service would help, we called back only to be met with even more unprofessional behavior. Danielle raised her voice, blamed us for the situation, called us liars, and told us that because we didn't purchase additional insurance, we were essentially "SOL." There was no accountability, no empathy, and no effort to resolve the damage or recover our missing property. The most disappointing part is that we weren't asking for anything unreasonable. We simply wanted the company to take responsibility for damaged and missing items and work toward a fair resolution. Instead, it became very clear that they simply did not care. To make matters worse, I had actually referred someone else to this company before experiencing this myself. Unfortunately, they had a similar experience and have been waiting over two months for their belongings. As of today, we still have not been compensated for the damaged items or had our missing property returned. Accidents can happen during a move. What separates a good company from a bad one is how they handle those situations. Based on our experience, Edens Moving Company failed completely in that regard. DO NOT USE Eden's Moving for cross country moves. The driver was petulant and uncooperative and took nine hours for a move that took three hours with professional movers when I moved from Boston with Marathon Moving. The driver arrived 45 minutes before beginning the move, as he did not have an assistant until then. The assistant left after less than two hours because the driver was not professional and was being worse than careless with my goods and home. The preparation and packing by Eden's in CO was good, but the goods were damaged by the driver who unloaded them with disdain. Edens did not answer my calls on the day of the move and only replied to my email several days later saying the they would talk to the driver. I sent them photos of the clearly damaged furniture. They said that they would research repairs, but to date I have received no reply. No doubt, I will have to pay for the repairs or replacement myself. The driver did not uncrate two important items and only grudgingly assembled two beds, but damaged them in the process. Eden's did not perform the work for which I contracted them and paid them. They are to be avoided. They have no respect for the customer and do not communicate professionally. I should note that Edens took 14 days from the first move-in date to deliver the furniture and boxes even though I had given them the move-on date over a week earlier. My hope is that people in the Denver area look at this review before contacting this company. I will file a complaint with state and local governments on this company. While we had one previous and uneventful move with Eden's (from Oakland to Denver), our most recent move (Denver to Los Angeles) with Eden's was a painful disaster. For the feint of heart, I might turn away... I'll set the scene. You've waited 2 weeks for your furniture to arrive and finally can enjoy sleeping on your mattress and your bed. It's 2am and the earth moves. Is it an earthquake? No, that's just your mattress collapsing into your bedframe. Ah, yes, either on the move out or move in end, the movers set your bed up to fail. And no, it wasn't a nightmare, this was simply the belated gift that Eden's Moving Services provided us. So let's rewind because this was not the only flaming bag of poop left on our proverbial doorstep. After leaving Denver and doing a quick road trip on our way to Los Angeles and then waiting a couple of days, we call Eden's for some of their stellar customer service to find out that our furniture has not left Denver yet. It has sat nice and cozy in a warehouse. A few hours later, we are called back and told that our stuff has left Denver. We don't see it for 10 days later. It's pretty clear Eden's lied to us to pacify our frustration as that turnaround time doesn't make much sense. But eventually, we get a window (Monday - Friday) and then we get a delayed window (Friday - Sunday). And yes, dear reader, Sunday, it is. Next, we get a 12 - 5 window. And yes, dear reader, they come at SIX. What fun to while away a Sunday trapped in your empty home hoping Eden's will deign to perform the task you paid them to do. I could also add their reluctance to take away their garbage (all the tape) with them or the fact that they just stuffed our garbage and recycling cans full (this is why you don't let Eden's into your garage if you can help it!) or how they managed to break more than half of the handles to packing boxes we used from the Container store, but at that point, we should have expected it, right? Needless to say, you should not trust Eden's with anything you own or care about. And if you do, you have been warned. read more

Charged double then what was quoted. Disassembled and did not reassemble, scratched floors, broke items, and workers do not support company. I wish they had a rating for horrible. I moved from Kansas City, MO to Denver, CO. The movers showed up at 2pm and worked until 11:30pm for the loading and unloading. Items they packed (pictures) were broken when I unpacked them. Furniture arrived broken with pieces lost. two of the helpers just sat around on their phones. When they reassemble furniture, they didn't put together the items correctly so I had to reassemble it myself (with a broken hand). They broke lights when moving my furniture in. And the worst part is the insurance they provided only covers $0.60/lb. This hardly makes up for damage furniture from the 1800's. Electronics were broken (again items they packed). They didn't have the appropriate tools. I was also quoted boxes and told what I didn't use, I wouldn't be charged for, then the movers said that wasn't true, they had to charge me for everything on their list. We do NOT recommend Eden's Moving. The DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD AND BAD companies is the response when things go wrong. We have moved 8 times, local and long distance and this is the worst move we have ever had. Furniture pieces were broken and damaged and somehow stained! Boxes were crushed and contents had spilled into the truck. NOT a professional move crew and when we questioned Eden, response was "this is the help we can get right now." We were referred to the insurance company and received basically nothing. Probably could replace one item with the money received. Eden was not our lowest bid either. I'd give them zero star if I could. I move a lot between states and this was the worst moving experience I have ever had. We gave them the full list of furniture we want to move and they estimated the cost for over 3k. When the crew came and packed our stuff they told us that we need to pay additional $1,400 for "long carry" (80 feet) and extra space in the truck even though they knew exactly what we want to move 2 weeks in advance, that we refused to pay and wound up throwing away a few things to save space. Also, they told us over the phone that delivery takes 2 to 7 days, the crew that came told us that it will be 7-14 days! When they arrived with our stuff they added another additional $350 on top of what we have already payed for another "long carry" even though our apartment is next to the loading zone. The crew leader started cursing at us in Spanish not knowing that I speak the language. Awful company, horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

We've moved a few times to different parts of the country and this was the worst move we've had. Furniture was broken, as in a heavy wooden chair had a leg snapped off, which seemed almost unbelievable, and there were other pieces. Every large, plastic storage bin was fractured, broken or ripped in one way or another. The movers were pleasant guys who kept apologizing for how things entered our house, even trying to fix some things. Almost everything arrived except for my wife's jewelry. It wasn't expensive just precious from anniversaries, etc. Because of a friend and my own abilities we were able to reconstruct the furniture. We did not present a claim for anything including the jewelry, because who still has receipts or even estimates for these things. It was just sincerely disappointing. read more

Scam!!!! Beware of this company!!!! Please read story below before wasting your money. We were moving from California to Miami. Asked for a quote to move over the phone. Described in detail how many furniture items there were and how many other items. Were quoted a soft quote for $2200. The house was sold and they ran late to pick it up and came in on day prior to closing. When they came they asked for $4806 claiming that I did not provide the correct cubic size of the furniture. Now I cannot possibly imagine how anyone can provide cubic size of a shipment of your furniture. Total scam but since we had to move that day we had no choice. The furniture was supposed to take a week to get there it took a month. They took cash on pickup and asked for cash or cashiers check on delivery. When it came I asked them to see the furniture to make sure that it is in good condition I did not even ask them to bring it in the house. Considering it was a month late I was obviously concerned that it is damaged. They utterly refused to show our furniture with cash upfront!!!! It would of taken them 15 min to show but they refused instead telling me all kinds of nonsense. These guys are scammers - businesses today do not behave in such a way. My move isn't even complete and I already would not recommend Eden's. The sales rep was very friendly and helpful and we booked my 3 day window for packing and moving. I was told I would have 24 hour notice of the movers arriving. When my window was approaching I called to see if they had any updates and they did not. I received a call from my driver, Shawn around noon saying he would be there either "tomorrow or the next day". I said I needed to know which one because I had appointments I would need to cancel. He said he would let me know by the end of the day. When 8pm rolled around I figured I would have heard and assumed he wasn't arriving the next day, which was good because it was too late to cancel appointments and prepare for them to come. I received a text message at ELEVEN PM to let me know that he would let me know the following morning if he would be there tomorrow or not which is completely unacceptable. I told him it was too late notice for me at the point and we would need to plan for Friday. I received a very rude text message in response that I was notified in advance (I wasn't) and that I "should have been prepared". My husband even tried to call to talk to him and he was completely rude and did not understand why we were unavailable. When I called customer service first thing in the morning there was no apology but a promise that she would figure it out and get back to me. Two and a half hours later I had to call them back to follow up and was told they would "shoot for" arriving Saturday, which is, granted, still inside my window, but I was still made to feel like it was my fault for not being available when asked and they had to rearrange schedules. Now I will have this rude person at my home and taking care of my things which is very disconcerting. I can only hope everything makes it in one piece and I don't have any additional issues. So this is my second move with edens moving(third if we include the one for my roommate to CA last year) and once again they did an excellent job!! This time we had to do some remodeling to our home so we had to move everything out for 2-3 Week's, we booked in advance and got the project going. Couple of days before the move we got a call from the customer service department to introduce themselves and to go over the term off the contract and to make sure that we understand everything and to see if we have any questions before the move,it was really nice to see that they kept me informed about the upcoming move and didn't keep anything from me. On the move out day the guys got here on time they did great job protecting my furniture and got it on the truck in couple of hours. from there they took it to the warehouse to store it for me. Once the project was done I called Eden's to set up delivery and they got me scheduled. Delivery part was smooth they helped me  set all my beds and tables. Moving is often super stressful, but Eden's did everything to make my move from Denver to Houston as smooth as possible. Dawn, the moving rep, was responsive, practical, and thoughtful. She helped me visually estimate my inventory a month ahead of time, and then adjust a few days before my move to get it right. I changed my pickup date a few times, and she was responsive to my requests. The crews who picked up my stuff in Denver (Tomas), and dropped off in Houston (Juan) were both pleasant, efficient, and thorough. Throughout the process, I was able to call the company and get quick status updates about delivery from Danielle and Gary. I've experienced so many nightmare moves in the past (eg, charged extra at pickup, lied to about cubic feet, told I needed to rent a UHaul and get my stuff 30min away from my destination for a cross country move, etc), I appreciated how straightforward moving with Eden's was. read more

I haven't had a chance to review because we are just finishing unpacking and I wanted to ensure I gave the most accurate review I could. I would steer ANYONE away from this company. We moved from San Jose to Washington state and the estimator came out to our house - he was great, very friendly, super nice guy. Gave us an estimate after looking at all of our stuff and it was a little higher than other companies, but because they seemed honest and decent we decided to go with them. I read all the previous reviews and the reality is EVERY company has bad reviews so I decided to ignore them. Fast forward to our move day and all of a sudden our items went from 1900 cubic square feet to over 2000 (the cut off where they get to really bump up your cost). Sucks, but what are we gonna do? That's what they told us and we needed to be out of our place within 2 days. So we accept the fact that we're gonna have to pony up the money. The guys are packing and they stop for lunch...they ask us to run to subway for them and once there they realize they "forgot" their wallets. The supervisor of the move said he'd reimburse us for their lunch...we gave him the receipt and he gave us like 1/2 of what it was. Seriously? Ok. Fine. And yes we still gave all the movers a great tip. Get to actual move. Just like everyone else we got the total run around about when our things will be available. We tell them the first available date and they START looking for someone on that day. So realistically there is NO WAY you could have your things delivered on the first available date. So we sit and wait. And wait. We contact them and, of course, 2 days before the day they have to have our things there they find a driver. Here's where it gets good. Remember when I said they adjusted our price because our cubic square feet was over 2,000? Well, our location required them to use a smaller vehicle to transport our things. Somehow they got all of our things into that moving truck despite the fact that the truck ONLY HOLDS 2,000 CUBIC SQUARE FEET. SO, $3000 we paid for being over 2,000 cubic square feet is total BS. WELL, MAYBE they just forgot some of our things. Because some of our boxes are missing. AND we somehow ended up with things that belong to other people. Sorry to whoever it is that doesn't have their pack and play anymore, and to the person who's bed frame we now own. Oh - that mirror we got? Looks great! We caught a bunch of other things they brought to our house that didn't belong to us before they left and were able to send them back. Hope whoever ended up with our things enjoys them. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING SERVICE! I am hoping this review saves someone else from having to deal with the same stress and chaos they caused for me. I will start by saying, however, that the initial pick-up service from my location in Denver was great. They were quick, professional, and personable, but unfortunately, the poor service on the drop off absolutely outweighed the overall service leaving a very poor and frustrated taste in my mouth. If you don't read this entire review, perhaps just view the images below for pictures of my items upon arrival, having been originally picked up in excellent condition. First and foremost, from a customer service standpoint, I had called nearly everyday when they gave me a range of when they would deliver the drop-off, and they continued to remind me that the driver would call the day before their arrival. This was crucial for me because I knew I would be unavailable and out of town one of the days they said they could potentially arrive, and I would have needed to make prior arrangements if it were the case. Sure enough, though, the driver never called the day before (no missed calls, no voicemails, no text messages, no emails, nothing) and rather called on that one day I was out of town when they were 10 minutes away and lost. Their service was incredibly unprofessional and included a threat to drive everything back to Denver from California if we didn't figure out how to get to them to the designated destination because they were lost. I was busy working while this was all happening and trying to coordinate things over the phone while out of town. Thank goodness I have amazing family who were able to leave their own work for me in order to deal with this fiasco. IT WAS A MESS. When we finally got the driver on the right track again, he refused to drive down a road with a weight limit sign on it. I will take responsibility for that being the case, as I was unaware of this sign, but not for how rude and unprofessional they were toward us and the situation. The options at this point that they gave us were to drop off at another location or pay several hundred dollars for a shuttle service to go less than a mile up the road to the destination (mind you, trucks drive on this road all the time, but whatever...that's their policy, and as frustrating as that is, we complied) and went with the option of having them drop it off at a nearby open parking lot where my family would take trips loading their pick up truck back and forth to and from the home which was about a mile and a half from the drop off destination. The truck driver refused to go to this location and said he preferred another parking lot that was over 25 minutes away from the destination! Why??? I have noooo idea! Probably just to make our lives more miserable at this point, I really don't know as it made no sense at all. All of this was happening while I was on and off the phone with the manager, Gary, back in Denver while I was trying to work and really not available to be dealing with all of this. I don't get angry often, but I was literally shaking with frustration, more than anything, for the way we were being treated, which was incredibly rude and unaccommodating. I have patience for mistakes and patience for change in plans, but NOT for rude, poor customer service. After several hours and trips to and from the random parking lot 10 miles away during rush hour on a Friday afternoon, my belongings finally got to where they needed to be. Also, after all of this, we spoke with the local police and they confirmed that trucks are in fact allowed to drive on the road they refused to as long as it is for one-time delivery purposes. DO NOT LET EDEN'S MOVE YOUR STUFF!!!! We have moved all over the world and this was by far the worst moving experience. It started to go bad right after the contract was signed and turned into a complete nightmare in the end. Here are just a few of the lowlights. - We received 2 inaccurate estimates from 2 of Eden's estimators (missing items, 2 different long-distance measurements, added unnecessary wardrobe boxes & dish packs, used different prices for packing material). - Jerked around by the 2nd estimator (Shakar) on re-estimate window. He moved the window twice and never called us. We had to call him when he missed each window. - Foreman (Miguel) on the pick-up (in CA) wanted a "pay-off" for doing the right thing on the agreed price. He then got angry when he and his team didn't get a tip. It felt like a "shake down". - We were charged for Carrier Pack materials that were either never used or were packed so poorly that the items arrived broken. The best example is packing our 55" TV in a picture box with 2 pieces of paper (no blankets, bubble wrap - nothing). We paid extra for the Carrier Pack materials expecting a professional mover to know how to pack these items. It was almost as if they did it on purpose since we wouldn't pay them off. Total incompetence on the part of the foreman (Miguel) and his team. - Upon arrival, the 55" TV was damage beyond repair, our 2 floor lamps were destroyed, and the TV stand had a chuck taken out of the side. And, we paid extra for these to be carrier packed!!!! - Even the foreman (Benedict) on the unloading side commented that this was the worst pack he had ever seen and took pictures himself. - After notifying customer service (Gary), we got the run around for 2 more weeks and then received on insulting offer of $125 and a comment that stuff breaks and his explanation was that "accidents happen and our movers are human". I cannot believe that the BBB can give Eden's Moving Services an A+ rating. This company is the worst run company that I've ever come across. The movers aren't trained, the foreman and estimators are unethical, customer service is horrific, and the owners don't take accountability for their company's mistakes/bad behavior. Throughout this entire nightmare, we always had to chase Eden's and we only got excuses why it was so difficult to get any information from them. You would have thought that one of the owners would have reached out to us given everything that happened - radio silence from them (they were copied on all our emails). Please do yourself a favor and don't let Eden's move your stuff. Don't be tempted by the low price like we were. You will pay for it in the end because you will have to replace all the stuff they break, and you will have a horrific experience. One reason I gave my business to Eden's was because they are a small family business and I like supporting small businesses. Well Eden's give small family businesses a bad name. The owners of Eden's should be ashamed of the poor way that they conduct business. I have no doubt that Eden's will not be in business very much longer and the few employees that they have left should run for the hills. To the owners of Eden's, just remember that karma is a bitch. 1. Quote was $6800. We paid the deposit of $2300 and scheduled the packing and moving service. When the movers arrived, they said it would be $9500. There was no way of canceling without losing the deposit. 2. A couple of reasons the Quote went up was because they needed to use wardrobe boxes. I'm not sure why they wouldn't assume they we need them in the first place. Anyhow, when we unpacked, there were wardrobe boxes full of stuffed animals. Our clothes were thrown in the boxes, not hung up, therefore the specific boxes weren't necessary. 3. Items are missing. (9 boxes and an electric scooter.) 4. Items are broken. (Desk, dollhouse, bunk beds, etc...) 5. It took 18 days to receive our items. The eta kept changing. Do not use this company. You will be extremely disappointed. read more

Complete con artist/company! I am X Military and this was my 50th move, I moved from Denver CO to Tampa FL. I hired Budget Van Lines and they sub contracted my move to Edens, this was a weight based move. I know the weight of my property was around 3500 pounds when they arrived at my storage facility they just made up a number and saidthey said my property weighed 5400 pounds so we're gonna go ahead and charge accordingly. They then changed all the prices that were already agreed-upon on my contract with budget van lines. Then they refuse to move anything until they looked at my other storage unit so I had to drive across Denver three times just to get my stuff looked at. upon six hours of them doing that they took my property they didn't give me my final weight all they gave me was the empty truck weight and that was all. So I requested what is the true wait they would not answer back I waited over 3 1/2 weeks calling budget: Edens to try to get an answer where do I stand where is my property they wouldn't return my calls and whenever anyone finally did they blamed the other company. also while picking up my property they wanted to know what boxes had my watches and my jewelry and any things of value. I have video recordings of them trying to find out and ask questions in regards valuable property why do they need to know that? I already had issues from the get-go. Upon my property finally being delivered almost 20 days later boxes were broken and open, even re boxed! They went through the box labeled watches, My TV was broken. I then had them do the pre-weight with the truck loaded and then I went with them to the scales to have them re-weight it empty and sure enough my weight came in at 3400 pounds! So you have to pay them immediately or they won't give you your property but when it's time for them to refund you its at their choosing. It has been over two weeks and I am still waiting for my final payment. They talk down to you, they don't call you back, and worst of all they take no ownership in their actions or service! if I did not make them re-weigh that truck when it got to Florida I would have been out $1500. Most people just believe they're honest, they completely lie and they even told me when they first picked up my property they're trying to make as much money as they can. This is a complete shady company if you use it you will lose property and money! I uploaded pictures. The insurance you have to get only pays $.64 per pound so if you have a $1000 watch or TV you would only receive $.64 per pound. The whole thing is a scam just to make money off you, and when you want to file a complaint or grievance you have to go through a third-party. Pretty much get your own lawyer to deal with this. my TV had a knee mark right dead center of the screen but at that price of $.64 cents per pound the TV isn't heavy enough to get me more than $4-8 so it's a complete scam! read more

Hire Edens if you don't care about your furniture or belongings! I have antique furniture and even the pieces marked for extra care were busted. Legs broken off dressers, hutch, and chairs. Boxes were mangled and torn. Took 21 days from pick up to deliver. Wish I could post photos. Cried twice during delivery because of all of the busted things. Now they want me to get two estimates for each piece but the antique value is lost with repairs. Rude customer service. Had a guy walk through for estimates. Don't just use BBB ratings, these guys have an A+ rating and the entire move was a nightmare. I have moved myself SEVERAL times across country and NEVER had the damage I did with Eden Moving Services. Almost every item of furniture they touched was damaged- Dining table, computer desk, chaise lounger, bed pedestal, grill cover had holes, treadmill missing entire gear/motor system, etc. The group that came to load were careless and inexperienced (only two young men and an older supervisor who didn't even supervise them). They used an extremely tacky tape on a lot of my stuff that they were to pack which would not come off. They destroyed my brand new L shaped computer desk which was not completely disassembled so it broke in half! My chaise lounger had the fabric on the underside completely destroyed due to obviously packing it on top of something without proper padding, etc... I could go on and on but I think this paints the picture. I paid almost $10,000 for this move and felt completely taken advantage of. I've seen a lot of BBB complaints on this company most about damages and missing items and how the moving insurance they claim to explain to their customers is not explained at all- I agree! I know I wasn't given a quote for the cost of 100% replacement value just told that unless I wanted it I'd have to waive. Never explained that you also have the option to use homeowners insurance or purchase outside insurance if desired. And don't get me started on the quote I received on the phone and what happened the DAY OF THE MOVE... I even did a video walk thru and the gal who did the estimate completely underbid it so I'd take the bait then surprise, surprise the guy doing the "binding" bid on move day tells me it's another $2000!!! Completely unacceptable- what are you to do at that point? House closes, gotta move- no choice but pony up. And the unpack... HORRIFIC- we let them put most of the boxes in the garage only to find AGAIN it was done so with no care whatsoever. Boxes crushed, heavy items on top of boxes marked "fragile"- complete disaster start to finish. My advise: Go with a reputable company even if it costs a little more than these local moving companies. They may try to scare you with claiming other companies are not actually "moving" companies BUT I'd rather trust my move to a contractor with a national reputation than a company that is very good at making excuses for their poor service and then point you to the moving insurance that doesn't come close to compensating you for your losses. Moving across country from Colorado to New England was a big job. We interviewed and priced out and carefully chose the worst company: Eden's Moving Services. Please don't make the mistake we did. They weren't even the least expensive company we received bids from! Eden's broke our possessions, robbed us of our jewelry, and the owner insulted us and blamed us for all of their problems despite the fact their employee was arrested and convicted for the theft from us and many other homeowners and then made us wait for weeks to get all of our items at our new home. Most of our stuff was packed but a few items needed to be boxed up which they said was no problem. When they arrived they used our boxes for some items, and then charged us for providing those boxes to us. They also used boxes we had not used yet as padding for items they were responsible for packing and shipping (furniture, book cases, etc.) and charged us for that padding. When they used up all of our boxes they charged us for...more boxes...that they needed...because we didn't have any left. I'm so lucky they had extra boxes along when mine ran out since I had the privilege of paying for all of them. They broke several items and damaged many more, but since their insurance covers "by the pound" we were left with thousands of dollars of furniture and possessions we had to throw away. My hot tub was severely scratched and damaged, my air compressor was ruined, my night stand was dropped and broken, my fridge door no longer is square with its frame, several lights were damaged and broken, my Mission Oak coach was broken, and many more items damaged and had to be thrown away. However, the damage they did packing and unpacking is nothing compared to the insults from the owner to my wife after we were brazenly robbed by them. The owner of this company told my wife she was lying! One of their employees went into a packed box we had marked "DO NOT MOVE" and stole her priceless jewelry. Along with my watch he stole more than $20,000 of our possessions! We called the owner in a panic, desperate to get these items back, and were shocked when he not only denied the POSSIBILITY that one of his employees had taken these items. He said it was our fault for having anything of value in our house and blamed my wife for the theft stating that none of his employees had ever stolen anything and we were lying! He insinuated we were making all of this up and was very upset we had bothered him about it. He said "it's your word against mine" and said no one would believe us. He "Considered the matter closed" and if we bothered him again he would contact the police. Our next call was to the Brighton Police Department (who believed us) and a few days later they arrested one of Eden's employees (that we were told never had stolen anything) for pawning my wife's wedding rings, earrings, and items from MANY other home owners which he had ALSO stolen items from while working for Eden's Moving Services. This bright lad pawned these items wearing his EDEN'S MOVING COMPANY t-shirt with my watch on his wrist. It's a great video to watch and see him in action. Unfortunately, I didn't get my watch back but we did get her jewelry eventually When we arrived in New England to have everything unpacked it wasn't all on the truck! We had to wait nearly two weeks for the balance of our items. My children had to live without their clothes that were in the second truck and use what they'd packed for the two day trip while we drove cross country to our new home. When we started unpacking all of our boxes we were astounded to learn that these marvelous moving men had boxed up and shipped several large boxes of trash from the pizza and pop consumed when they ate on their lunch break at our old house and shipped it along with our items to our new house. They were kind enough to leave the cigarette butts around the old house and also threw some of them in with our boxes since we all need cigarette butts is my guess. We had the privilege of paying for all of that to be shipped across the company to our new house - AND - for the boxes they put them in. I'm happy that the criminal hired to move our possessions was found guilty but we never received compensation for the items they broke and damaged. I promise to never use Eden's Moving Services again and I will tell anyone, anytime, anywhere, what a horrible company this is and beg and plead with you not to use their services. WORST MOVERS EVER! I had to move my brother's furniture from SF to AZ. Well, they were awful. A wrought iron chair was damaged beyond repair and many, many dishes. It's as if they laid heavy items on top of boxes that clearly stated "fragile". Also, they made up a BS excuse that they couldn't park their truck on my street, even though I have seen dozens moving companies do so, and used it as an excuse to charge me an additional $300. I would never use this company again. EVER. There are a lot of choices for quality movers out there, and Eden's is NOT one of them. read more

Picking up my belongings for a long-move was less than inspiring (January 25, 2020). Pablo, the driver made inappropriate and unacceptable comments after completion regarding a tip. I filed a complaint. My things finally arrived at my new home and two antiques (over 120 years old) were severely damaged and the delivery driver said it happened at origination. Because I filed a complaint, I would highly expect that Pablo had something to do with the damage, because my things were offloaded at one of their sites. It was Obvious that the pieces in question were extremely old and fragile. I told Pablo this. Graebel Van Lines did even worse and destroyed an 1890's banker's desk of mine beyond repair in addition to all of my antiques. However, Graebel paid. I highly doubt Eden's Moving will own it and take responsibility. Also, one very important thing the company did not specify when I was told coverage was .60c per pound, was that was per item, not per load weight. Repairing these two antiques is going to be costly which will not be covered by the company. Never, never, never again will I use Eden's Moving (or Graebel for that matter). read more

For those looking for an honest mover this is not the best company to go with. I first spoke to a salesman who advised our mover would take 7-10 days but could not promise but in his experience that it would take longer than that. They picked up our stuff on the 28th and now it is the 16th to move from Santa Fe to San Diego its a 10 hour or so drive. We called every single day to get an accurate date for when I items would arrive and everyday we were told they did not know as there was a snow delay. I can understand weather so that was a good enough reason to be patient. We were told to call every 4 to 5 days or so to get an update. We were told the 9th to 12th our stuff would arrive. When calling the next Monday we were told a truck did come but that our stuff would not fit so we would have to wait another 4 to 5 days. Even though this company called back in a timely manner we did have to follow up every few days and after asking multiple times if Eden's would be delivering our items I finally found out that they hire a third party company in Los Angeles to move our items to San Diego. I am so happy I am such a great packer as my stuff would have been completely broken. Here is the timeline- Pickup in Santa Fe in a Penske truck that was rented. Truck went to Albuquerque and was left locked in a Pensky rental facility 6 to 7 days later due to weather was put on another truck and dropped off in Colorado Then it was loaded into a truck and unloaded to a third party moving company in Los Angeles From Los Angeles it is being driven to San Diego and dropped off with an addition charge because I have an elevator. Make sure where ever you are moving to is not more than 75 feet from the elevator or it is 75 feet per trip. So that is 5 times that our items will have moved on and off trucks from Santa Fe to San Diego. Please whatever you do avoid this company as they are not forth coming with how they do business. We have moved all over the country even internationally and have dealt with many different moving companies and I will advise that this company was one of the worst. I guess you get what you pay for. I just did not want to pay $6,000 to move 390 cubic feet worth of items to San diego. I dealt with Joe whom I was told was the boss. I see now he rebuttals customers reviews. He was very nice and dealt with my husband who is also a nice person. I did yell at the initial contact salesman which I probably should not have done because I might have gotten our stuff sooner ( sorry I am very bitter as we have been sleeping on blow up beds for over 2 weeks) There is nothing to rebuttal here as it is all the honest truth if your doing a long distance move from New Mexico use Alliance Moving as they moved a family member to Chicago and they got there stuff in 6 days. As a final comment. When I got all my items they were so dirty that all the boxes that I wanted to save for my next move I had to throw away and a few items were broken. I left a prior review for this company, but here is my updated. The pickup process was seamless, speedy, and overall great! Everything after that is when it started to go downhill. We booked them through a moving broker, so that may have been some of the issue, but the communication was HORRIBLE. It was never explicitly stated that the turn time started from our "first available delivery date" - so that was confusing. However, our driver unfortunately caught COVID on his way. This was not conveyed to us until we were nearing the end of the window of time, and were getting concerned where everything was. I just wish they would have been more upfront about the turn time and more communicative with us about where our things were in transit. read more

I moved from denver co to north ga back in july this moving company charged me for 3200 cu ft but i look on the trailer delivered my goods cu ft marks and it show i have only 2700 cu ft i called the company customer service for this and for my damages but now it is end of september and it still going on every time different excuse why is not dine yet and the 500 cu ft different time 4.67 $ its only 2300$ they over charged me but they refuse to refund me The contractor they youse was good but he got my stuff with Dameges he try to fix some off the stuff but not all Thay nice to book with but but not to do business with stay a way from this moving company read more

Worst moving experience ever! If you want your stuff broken, over 2 weeks delayed delivery, surprise charges and no customer support for all the damages after your move then this is the company for you!! Let's start from the beginning, they booked my move without having a driver available. They were given a 4 day window and when I called to ask when the driver would be coming I was told he should be calling, he never called for a few days and they said they couldn't get a hold of him. Driver showed up the day before my flight (last day of window), he told me he would be there between 12-4, doesn't show up until after 6:30. So whole day went to waste. When I had listed all my belongings and boxes with Chris (representative who booked the move) told me everything would be good in the purchased sq ft. I packed one large box less just to be on the safe side. But driver told me I had to pay an additional $60 for more space... doesn't make sense even though I packed one large box less! When I paid with my credit card he then takes a picture of BOTH my ID and my credit card... that just seems very suspicious! Can anyone say identity theft? I've never heard of a company taking a picture of a customers ID and Credit Card on their personal phone. Chris told me average day to receive my stuff would be typically 4-5 days. Well... I didn't receive my stuff until almost 2 weeks later. When I called to ask I was told that everything goes to the "central hub" in Colorado. Then it is loaded onto another truck to be delivered. So my stuff was (1)moved from my house to the pick up truck, (2)then moved to their storage, (3)then moved to the delivery truck, (4) and then moved to a UHaul because they said the truck would not be able to enter my apartment (an additional $350 charge), and (5) finally to my house. I was aware they would move my stuff to a UHaul but didn't know of all the other moves in between. My stuff was moved 5 TIMES!!! Had I known I would have NEVER hired them. My tables are scratched up, my headboard of my bed looks like it took a good beating, my dishes are all broken, my easel is severely broken and they broke the wheel off. Some boxes look like they had been opened and have holes in them. If you write "fragile" or "this side up" that means NOTHING to them! Once they showed up to deliver the stuff the driver tries to tell me I need to pay extra for stairs... when I told him it says up to 15 stairs he said ok never mind. But he decided to charge me $75 extra for "long carry". The truck was literally parked right in front of the building! Terrible moving experience, I had to sit around in an empty apartment for almost 2 weeks. They could have just told the truth about typical delivery time. We got a low ball estimate and the move cost us thousands more. Attempts to contact them went unanswered. The movers were highly unprofessional and a lot of things were damaged. We have been offered next to nothing and damages to the interior of the house we're never addressed. I would not recommend this company. read more

I have to rant tonight even though I have no one to blame but myself -When moving from Denver to Billings, I decided that it was not fair to call on my kids and friends and sister to help me move YET again and so decided to have a professional service move me - BIG mistake as there is no such thing as the word PROFESSIONAL - I contacted Budget Van Lines - Eric Pope was more than happy to help me - very nice and great to talk to followed up with me UNTIL I signed that contract and paid my initial payment - They brokered me off to Eden's Moving Service in Denver, who I had already contacted and had decided I would not use their service. But by this time - it was too late and I needed the work done I was getting short of time -- I NEVER heard from Eric at Budget again even though I had contacted him several times before the move and SEVERAL times since the move- Eden's Moving in Denver came to the house to pack it up my personal belongings- threw a bunch of paper work in front of me with X's marked for my initials and signatures and ran through the paperwork at 100 mph - Understand - normally I would have taken the time to read everything - but I was extremely frazzled I had to be out of the apartment in 2 days time and was having no luck finding an apartment in Billings - and my daughter was in poor health and I was VERY concerned for her. So I initialed and signed - little did I know that I was signing away any right to received full payment for items that were damage - or destroyed and there were MANY !!! My tv had been dropped - screen was cracked - does not work, my mattress that was supposed to be covered - I was charged for a cover, was stained and because it had been folded the memory foam core is damaged, my computer stand and bookshelf were demolished - I was told I should not have bought such cheap furniture - my tv stand frame was cracked no longer holds the glass shelf - the post that held the TV was bent -an entire box came up missing that had my Kitchenaid mixer - (copper - $499.) several wine glasses were broken - OH Yes turn in the it will be taken care of I was told - 79 days after turning in the claim I get an offer to settle for everything for $259. which is figured at .60 cents per pound of the items that were damaged or destroyed- Yes I know I should have been careful when signing the contract - I get it - but they also knew my situation and how upset I was and racing the clock to get the move done- This is the statement on Eden's Moving service 5005 Lima St #102, Denver, CO 80239- Web page: "Arrive at your new home safely and on-time with the experienced, friendly, and trustworthy Denver moving experts at Eden's Moving Services. Updated Review: I moved about 6 months ago and received a phone call from this company wanting to make it right. Where they proceeded to defend their position that their terrible customer service was lawful and would barely listen to me talk and argued with me about how I felt. I felt the call was very rude and if they are calling to make it right you don't spend 10 min arguing with me on how I am wrong and they followed the law. You might have followed the law but your service and follow through was terrible. I felt very uncomfortable because they were only calling so I would take down my review. If you want to make it right treat a customer with respect and give them a reason to feel good. Not be upset after a phone call that was made for no reason other than to force your point. read more
