Decent Old Time breakfast joint. Vinyl seated booths, wood paneling and a 60's vibe to the menu are kinda charming. Friendly & quick service, served up a Ham and Cheddar omelette and an over eggs breakfast for the little woman. The requested well done hashbrowns were medium at best. My omelette was a little dry, but not bad. House made Hot sauce mixed with the ketchup was good. I believe we've had better meals at Katrina's or Nancy's in town.

This place and the food is older than "old skool". It's a throwback to the early 1960's. I do know, I was 13 years old when the Beatles landed in New York (1964) to play on the Ed Sullivan TV show. Back to this here restaurant. It's funky in a non-threatening way. The vinyl seats in the booths are torn to $#i+. The bath rooms look like they haven't been scrubbed in decades. The wall board above the men's room sink is crumbling. The floor in front of the toilet is sticky with dried urine. Okay you get the picture. The owner and the service staff are welcoming and friendly. The dining room was 3/4 full at 10:30am. Obviously all of them were Auburn locals as the service folks were addressing every one of them by first name. The offerings are all the diner food choices you will find at most places that are also locked into a menu from 60 years ago. My loco moco ($18.95) was merely okay. I spend 8 weeks / year on Kauai and O'ahu. I've eaten 100's of loco moco meals. The one here is did not send me into a rapture. Frankly, it as pretty mediocre. I eat at a lot of mom n' pops restaurants. Expensive ones, cheap ones, trendy ones, urban ones, out in the boonies ones. Have had some amazing meals. Many forgettable ones. I hope to forget my experience here soon. I love Auburn. Will endeavor to visit other places that offer brunch. I suggest that you do as well. Unless you are born n' raised in Auburn and this place is in your DNA.

Alfalfa sprout Swiss mushroom omelet heaven

Edelweiss is the best omelette and breakfast spot in Auburn. This omelette is number 39. Sammy makes homemade salsa. And jam to serve with breakfast. Love this place!

Classic old school diner. Fast and friendly service. Food was reasonably priced, hot, and fresh. Chicken fried steak was good, hot home fries, excellent blueberry pancake.

What a cute diner it is! We stopped here for lunch on our way back and had a very filling and delicious meal. Personable service and really cozy inside. My mushroom and Swiss omelet was fluffy and tasty. So much food and we needed to walk around a little before getting back in our car. We were able to park right in front of the restaurant by luck (there was a single spot open) but there are plenty of parking alongside the street, and there's a parking lot right next to the restaurant as well, which we didn't see until later.

5 1/2 stars if I could. Delicious food (and plenty of it) and reasonable prices. Coffee was excellent, plenty of refill offers. Very friendly and attentive service. Edelweiss hit on all cylinders. Very close to I-80 but not visible from the highway. A perfect breakfast lunch spot for locals or tourists heading to or from the mountains. Couldn't have asked for a better breakfast experience . As Arnold Schwarzenegger said "I'll be back"!

This is one of those small town diners that has all the ingredients of feeling like family when you come in. Stopped in for a bite to eat with a couple of friends late morning. Fast and friendly service. The people here are really nice and helpful suggesting specials and guiding us through the menu items. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and a salad, and one ordered an omelette and the other a BLT. I am always leery of ordering an omlette as most places overcook it on the outside. Not here. It.wasnperfect with ample goodies inside. I will be returning soon. Need to bring my wife here. She will enjoy this! A well deserved 5 stars. Don't change a thing!

They have fantastic gluten free sandwiches and coconut flour wraps. I chose the dealers choice because it all sounded so good and I made the right choice! They use soy free mayo too so if you have a soy allergy like me--you're in the clear! I will definitely be back after my next hike. It's the perfect way to unwind on the patio in the sunshine or shade. They also have the best nut based queso dip with clean ingredients. You'd never know it's not cheese and I'm a cheese fanatic! Stumbling into this establishment, we didn't realize they had already closed, but the guy behind the counter was nice enough to make us a sandwich anyway. Pastrami Kraut Melt 5/5* If sandwiches had dreams, they would be an Auburn Bodega sandwich. They all are both vsually appealing and spectacular in taste. We went with one of their popular sandwiches to try. The pastrami was PACKED in there! The crisp veggies and tart kraut perfectly balanced out the saltiness of pastrami. The green herb sauce, though, is this sandwich's wet dream. It added creaminess, a refreshing palette, and a bit of citrus flavor to amp up this sando tenfold! Warren & Co. Herb Crackers 5/5* Locally made! I checked the labels just to make sure they were local before purchasing. These were unexpectedly so crisp and savory. The lightness of the crackers tasted like you'd get them fresh out of the oven. They were perfectly dusted with flaky salt, rosemary and other aromatic herbs. I got these for charcuterie, but they were so good stand alone that I had them as a straight snack. They had a hefty display case of drinks out back and a small freezer with local goodies like a pot pie. We grabbed some kombucha to wash everything down. I noticed some desserts by the cashier also, and locally made bodycare items, but didn't want to browse any longer and keep them beyond their closing hours. This place is such a local gem. Side note - they prefer being small and local, and asked us not to post their menu on Yelp, since it rotates and people have come to get old sandos that weren't on the menu anymore. I respected their wishes but they were too good not to write about!

The dishes are thoughtfully put together with a mix of vegetables, grains, and sauces that create balanced flavors and textures. One thing that stood out to me was the freshness of the ingredients. Everything that my friends and I ordered was VERY GOOD. We all ordered a different type of fry on the side and they were all VERY GOOD. This is the kind of place where every thing on the menu is VERY GOOD. It is definitely not the healthiest place you could eat at because their focus is on the food being VERY GOOD. Nevertheless, even the healthy options like the mushroom ciabatta sandwich and the zucchini fries were VERY GOOD. Toasted to a perfect crisp, buttery, freaking delicious. The restaurant itself has a local charm. The ambiance is dictated by what the locals need, not the city people coming in to rent a lake house for the weekend (myself, my boyfriend, and his tech friends). It's refreshing to be somewhere that feels more like a genuine small town tavern than a flashy restaurant that covers itself in flowers and sculptures to be a photoshoot op for you and your girlfriends. (I have done this, no shame, so fun, see son and garden review). I wish I could go here over and over and try every menu. seriously, SO GOOD.

Burgers were cooked med as requested quality meat,so tall with all the fixings a fork was required & probably half a ripe avo made this a full meal. Salad was a good starter with arugula & a mixture of course cut veggies with extra blue cheese dressing brought pronto. Fourth visit & only suggestion would be to upgrade the heavy worm, somewhat greasy floor (especially in the entrance). Popular place with live music & some really good house made potato chips , french dip, mushroom & regular cheese burges consumed by my fellow golfer's at the table. Will be back.
