I've been to the Eddie's in San Luis Obispo a few times and have always enjoyed it, so I decided to meet up with a friend at the original. I'm glad I did, the location in a strip mall is similar to the SLO location so it feel right. The cool cars on the walls is nice, the tall ceiling and overall vibe of the place is great. The staff immediately greeted me, I told them I wanted to order a beer but was waiting for a friend, they told me to grab it and pay later. So, that was very welcoming. Little did they know the friend I was waiting for was the owner of one of the cars on their walls. When we ordered, the staff was still super friendly, and unfortunately the name escapes me at the moment, but he knew my friend fairly well. I ordered their new pickle fries and the TOBE burrito with extra chicken and a side of their habanero sauce. By the way, the TOBE burrito is a hidden menu item coined by my friend who frequents the place... but check it out. Grillled chicken, cheese, cabbage, lettuce and their chipotle aoili, I am probably forgetting something, but it is damn good. I usually get their chipotle chicken wrap, santa barbara burger, or the spicy kick burger. In terms of how friendly, fast and good the food is, this is a great lunch spot. I was excited to discover them in SLO and it is great to see both locations are consistent with each other. After a beautiful day spent at the local mission, my husband and I were starving and looking for a bite to eat. Decided to give this place a try given the menu had something for the each of us. I went with the chicken ceasar wrap with a side of garlic fries. My husband went with the fish tacos. The chicken ceasar was delicious and came with some tortilla chips. The wrap could literally feed two people so I kept half of it for dinner. The garlic fries were okay but extremely oily....felt like my arteries were clogging up! My husband's fish tacos according to him tasted "very fishy" and he was not too pleased with his selection. As of 11/12/20 the restaurant had tables outside and inside that you could enjoy your food. Given it was quite crowded at 1:30 in the afternoon we opted to enjoy our meal in the comfort of our car. If you are looking for a bite to eat, Eddie's is a good choice that will have something for everyone. read more

Soo disappointed with my lettuce wrap burger and the customer service! Picked up my food, got back to work and unwrapped my burger only to see it drenched in sauce, sooo gross!! Called them immediately and the girl who answered the phone was so rude, she said they wouldn't be adding extra sauce if I had not asked for it, I told her to look at my receipt! She placed me on hold and said they would re-make it and to take the burger back to them I said "well it's in the trash, you want me to get it out, I also have pictures to prove what I'm complaining about"? Lunch and dinner are great. Breakfast choices are very limited and not very good. I won't be returning for breakfast.

It's been awhile since I've been here, same local feel which is good. My previous review is gone, I don't know what happened so this is pretty much from my latest experience. I had their Santa Barbara burger, tastes fresh and it is really good. Bacon, guac, red onions, yum! It was big enough for me, just right. The patty is on the well-done side, but good. I also got their onion rings, it is a good one. My wife had the chicken sandwich, she said it is big, she only finished half if it. The garlic fries is alright, not a fresh garlic though. Drinks, we had their flavored teas, I mixed peach and mango, really good. Price is comparable to habit burger, maybe a little higher. Would I come back here, yes, but not soon. This place was a surprisingly good find. We were looking for something quick that wasn't a big chain. It also had some tables outside which was an extra bonus as we had our dogs with us. It's a order at the counter burger place. The service was decent. The guy taking the orders was new but did a good job. Burgers were large and good. Chicken sandwich the same. Hubs got fish tacos and well it's tacos at a burger place. The toppings on the burger were fresh and tasty the fish itself was some frozen fried patty. Our fries were great. This was my first time visiting the Lompoc location and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly as soon as we walked in and the menu is displayed very large on a digital screen. I tried the Western burger that had an onion ring & bbq sauce + the normal burger fixings and it was delicious! The burger is a nice big size and everything tasted very fresh. The fries were very crispy and not soggy like other restaurants. Overall everything was great, only thing that was strange was no soft drink machine, but they did offer iced teas and canned sodas as well as a few beers and seltzers to chose from. Based on YELP reviews we decided to try it out. Excellent tasting hamburgers stuffed on top with lettuce/tomato. Sauce was on the brioche bread but not smothered which was good. Ordered takeout and a tri tip sandwich was missing from our order. Note: this is the SECOND TIME this has happened to us. Called the restaurant over 40 times each (on husbands cell and my own) and it kept going to "line busy". We placed a doordash order for pick up. We ordered the western burger, hot rod sandwich, kiddie burger and the fish tacos. The fish tacos are what I'm not happy about. The tacos were not what the description stated either on the website or doordash. Which both had different decriptions as well. I wouldve been okay with crispy tacos but they way they were presented was lazy. Taking a full fish patty cutting it in half and serving that on the fish tacos was lazy. Plus, they put habanero aioli on the tacos which is not in any description. They were too spicy to enjoy.
