Australian Rack of Lamb
Karla T.

We had a great experience at Eddie Merlot's last night. Nice relaxing environment where they don't rush you (at all)! Our server, Eric D, was wonderful and gave great recommendations. The meal was so well timed - we started with their calamari with 3 dipping sauces - the wasabi aioli was amazing. Calamari was perfectly cooked - no chew!! I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the bourbon ribeye and we both loved our meals. We chose truffle Parmesan fries and tempura green beans for our sides (family style) and felt they were great accompaniments. We will definitely go back!

Trio of Medallions & Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

We came here for a nice steak dinner and overall had an enjoyable experience. It is definitely on the pricey side but the service was good. We started with the crab cakes which were great. They were not dry and very moist. I hadn't had crab cakes in a while so these were a great way to start the meal. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips and it was flavorful and satisfying. For my drink, I had the Berry White martini. It surprisingly tasted like those red, white, and blue popsicles but not in a bad way! I also really loved the complimentary bread they served. It was warm, soft, and hard to stop eating. For my entree, I ordered the Trio of Medallions. The steak itself was cooked well but I only really enjoyed the peppercorn sauce. This one was rich and flavorful. The Oscar-style was a bit too much for my taste and the bacon gorgonzola was too salty. It all overpowered the steak. We also had the garlic roasted mashed potatoes on the side. They were fine but nothing particularly memorable.

Great ambience, service and food! Glad there's one in my neighborhood! We came for dinner and it did not disappoint. I love the lobster bisque and my chef's plate. There were 4 of us and each one ordered a different entree and appetizer, and they were all well-presented and flavorful! The cocktails were also really good, i.e., old fashioned, and good selections of wines. The ones we ordered were very good! Will definitely come back either for HHR or dinner.

so I wanna add a review of Eddie Merlot's. I've been here a couple times for social events, but the wife and I came here last Friday night, when my daughter was at a friends house. The two of us had a very nice meal. We sat at a high top at adjacent the bar area, and our server was wonderful. She was attentive and informative. The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend this place. If you're in the Loudoun One area, the ambience is very conservative and nice in the Bararea. They have a bunch of TVs where you can see current sporting events and the Restaurant area is white linens and high class. check it out. You may enjoy it. I wish I had pictures, but may add later.

Came by for a quick dinner and was promptly seated. The service was good, the food was tasty and the place was not at all very loud thus I could have a decent conversation over dinner with my friend.

Caesar Salad - nothing special

My company hosted their 2025 holiday party at Eddie Merlot's. They were packed on a Saturday evening but we were in one of their private dining rooms. Pre-dinner drinks took forever, over 20+ minutes. For appetizers I tried the filet mignon potstickers, too sweet and not enough meat; miniature ahi tuna wontons, edible but nothing special; miniature beef Wellington, nothing special. For our salad course, I opted for the Caesar salad, standard, and SO had the king crab and corn bisque, smooth, touch of sweetness but no crab or corn was to be seen. Would have been nice to have crab and corn on top. I had the 8 oz. filet mignon with a side of mushrooms for my entree. My steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. A little fattier than what I like but it was seasoned perfectly and the mushrooms were the perfect accompaniment. SO had the 16 oz. ribeye, he thoroughly enjoyed but would have liked A1 Bold and Spicy. He also said his steak was cooked a perfect medium. The table shared mashed potatoes with roasted garlic, just ok; sweet potato casserole, way too sweet; and Brussels sprouts with bacon, good but too charred. For dessert the chocolate cake was preferred over the carrot cake which was dry. The staff was professional, courteous, apologetic for the slow drink service and for me, besides the filet mignon, the highlight of my EM experience. I would not opt to return unless it was for a corporate event.

We love Eddie's Appetizers , can't go wrong with anything you get. I was never a fan of tuna but this got my attention. The flavors work and it's get you craving for more. We love to just come and enjoy with friends. Best servers are jo and joe.

Chilean Sea Bass with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Prime Ribeye

This was my first time going to Eddie Merlot's and I had an enjoyable experience. We were able to get a last minute reservation 2 hours before and the person that we spoke with on the phone was accommodating. When we arrived to the restaurant, our waitress was very attentive and we appreciated all her recommendations and took her up on a few of them. We started out with 2 appetizers, the crab cakes and tuna wontons. My favorite was the wontons, they were delicious. The crab cakes were not worth it for me because it was more stuffing and less crab. For the entree, I chose the Chilean sea bass with a portion of the mash potatoes. The sea bass was amazing. It was so soft and melted in your mouth. I also appreciated the fact that in the area we were seated there was a certain dress code. The decor was also unexpected but it gave the restaurant a nice touch.

Eddie Merlot's is a classic high end steakhouse, and i have very little to complain about. The food was good, and quick to arrive. Our waitress sarah was kind and fast to offer recommendations. At the time of arrival, at around 4:30, it was very slow. It was nice to see everyone was still cleaning and making ready for the inevitable dinner rush. It was a calm, quiet ambiance with soft music. Some things were under seasoned, some over, but it was hardly enough for me to gripe about. A lovely option for a place to celebrate or just to have a nice dinner and wine.

Our son was visiting us this Xmas week and as he has visited at Eddie before, we decided for Friday's meal to visit. We requested a table and were seated promptly. Cassandra was our server and she gets a 5 star for being attentive, great suggestions and just excellent. Patrick was not around as he usually stops by for me to personally thank Cassandra. Stated with barbecue shrimp (excellent) and crab cakes (ordered 1 extra) for appetizers (excellent) For the main course Cassandra suggested The island Cedar Salmon and it was a superb choice (it's a big fish). My son decided for the first time to Prime NY strip. He has had other choices. Here he was disappointed as he felt it had little to no flavor. We passed on our comments to our server. For dessert we had our usual Vanilla Cognac Brownie. An excellent visit except for the steak.

Trio of Medallions

Great menu choice of the 3 medallions! I think one had a blue cheese topping on it which was very interesting but it was still great. Second was Oscar style - mashed potatoes tasted great as well. The seafood bisque was also AMAZING. 10/10 definitely get this if you come here. Old fashion was good but next time I would probably pair with a nice glass of red wine. Server was absolutely fantastic! Classy atmosphere but it does give me a little bit of a Cheesecake Factory vibe. it's a chain restaurant though so that's expected. I would suggest dimming the lights a bit and adding more candles. Overall very great and I would not be opposed to coming back. Menu was on the pricer side but it wasn't terrible. My 3 medallions were about $90.

People who sat next to the box changed their table, we were the 2nd table close to it , but there was no place to move and was impossible to talk and hear each other. Me personally , I can't understand why the music needs to be so loud ( as it's not a club, nobody is dancing, people smoking hookah and talking ‍) My watch went crazy with notifications of too loud environment and I called the waiter/barmen( same lady) and asked if it's possible to turn the music a little bit down, but they said NO and proposed to move to the bar where it's just same loud . Then, we moved ourselves our drinks and hookah out of the main room at the small table just at the entrance because I got tired of yelling every time I wanted to say something. There is only one separate room (with the door) at the entrance where music is not that loud, but it was busy by a bigger group.

The waiter was nice but the service was very hit/miss because sometimes we had to wait for him or try to find him but it usually didn't take long. He also had a difficult time figuring out how to split the 4-person tab into 2 couples. Hopefully he was new and this helped him learn. The music was very loud, more like closer to club level than restaurant level, which made it difficult for me to hear most of the time. I am not a true seafood lover as there are very few seafood items I eat but needless to say my husband couldn't say enough positive things about the catfish and grits and the other couple we were with absolutely loved that they got their calypso sauce on the side because then they got to enjoy the flavor and crispiness of the fish. The one crabcake on the Chesapeake Crabcake meal was very flavorful and I enjoyed it. Their food was very good. The prices weren't too bad but you also got a lot of food for the price. We had leftovers which was nice!

Found it -- it's The Lost Fox in Ashburn! Here's a short positive review:…read more A Gem in Ashburn -- The Lost Fox Delivers Every Time The Lost Fox is hands down one of the best spots in Ashburn. The cozy atmosphere, stone hearth, and warm decor make it the perfect place for a date night, a special occasion, or just a great evening out. The food is outstanding. The crab dip, the housemade pasta, and the burger are all incredible -- clearly made with real care and quality ingredients. The cocktails are equally impressive and keep pace with the food perfectly. The variety of seating -- dining room, lounge, patio, rooftop, and fire-pit areas -- means there's a perfect spot for any vibe, whether you want something intimate and quiet or lively with live music on the weekends. Service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt genuinely special without being stuffy. This place has become my go-to recommendation for anyone visiting the area. It projects an English modern cabin vibe, but with a touch on whimsy (see mustache coat hangers on booths!). The fireplace is centrally located and gives off an essence of coziness. Complimenting the ambiance, the service was great! The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast burger and pork belly breakfast sandwich. We also split the avocado toast as a starter (we were starving!). The avocado toast was perfectly prepared - toast was cripsy on the outside and chewy and thick on the inside. Ample smattering of smashed avocado with the fixin's. The burger was very good and my friend said they would totally order it again. The pork belly breakfast sandwich held together perfectly despite the inside being heavy. Pork belly remained perfectly crunchy and it had a heavy helping of melted cheese that was not overpowering. Brunch was amazing and we want to go back and experience the patio when it's warmer and also some live music! Such a great vibe and good food!
