I tried on a few outfits before purchasing anything. Surprisingly, the dressing room was dirty. There were used tissues/napkins on the wooden seat and floor. I almost did not want to touch anything that is the level of uncleanliness that was going on in there. I tried on my outfits and placed what I did not want in the restocking area. Since one of the dresses was too big, I went to the rack to look for the smaller size. I never looked at the dress to inspect it for damages etc., I only looked at the size. I purchased this item for an upcoming vacation, so I did not remove the items from the bags until about three weeks later while I was packing. At that time, I observed that not only was the slit in the back ripped straight up the seam, but the tag appeared crumbled almost like someone had worn and returned it. I tried calling the store, but they do not have a phone. I called Zara's customer service and the mall to determine if they had a direct number. The bottom line is that Zara stores cannot be contacted directly. I knew that the item was still eligible for return, but I still wanted to speak to someone about it. Thankfully, I returned the item without a problem, but not being able to reach someone locally was frustrating. If I purchase in store again, I will be sure to fully inspect all items before purchasing.

Received a large jacket instead of a medium for my online order. Unfortunately, I had to drive 30…read moreminutes with the price of gas to return my item and order it again. I was told that I would have to pay an additional 4.95 to ship the correct size even though that's what I originally order. The manager Murano told me there was NOTHING she could do. So now 4.95 for an order they shipped incorrectly and another 4.95 for the correct size (hopefully) and the price of gas. Beyond irritating. DO a better job ZARA.

It's been a long time since I was in the Annapolis JosA Banks. A lot of money for a horribly…read morealtered suit will do that to a person. However, twice in two weeks I've come to the JosA Banks in Annapolis to spend some money, needing to replace some dress shirts and have a suit or two done. The first time I was in the store for 45 min and not once did anyone ask to assist. So I split buying a suit elsewhere with excellent customer service. Today I made an appointment for custom tailoring. Arrived early and was perusing the fabrics on the custom wall, with two employees 3'-4' away and zero interest in me as a customer. Make a long story short, no one seemed to be too excited to take my measurements or my order after I announced I was there for an appointment. So I walked out. No use in wasting any more of my time if my appointment is important. It's sad because it used to be when you walked into a JosA Banks the staff was on you with a great demeanor the second you walked in. With 6-7 people on staff, one would expect better.

I used to be more excited about this store so that tells me that I'm probably aging out of their target market or just too conservative. Nevertheless, they have nice brands here and the store displays are attractive. I did recently get a pretty blouse here that I can wear to my office job but most of the fashions were more trendy (cold shoulder blouses that taken me back to the late 80s/early 90s - no thanks) or high Maintenace (off the shoulder shirts that require a strapless bra). The staff here was really nice despite it being a few days before Christmas and it seemingly like they were totally exhausted. I think I would visit SMU if parking was easier and it was more central to other stores I like to visit like Anthropologie and Smyth.

It was not too busy. There were only three people in the customer service/returns line. It's well posted and we even had an employee come over and confirm we were there for Kohl's returns, because the Amazon returns was around the corner. I thought that was very kind. They have good brands to include Nike, Addidas, and Under Armor stuff. For women of any size there seems to be an adequate selection. But for the boys I wasn't as satisfied. They didn't have any Van's shirts (which is what I was hoping to exchange), but there was some shoes. I was able to get a few cute cammo girls shirts for our daughters and there was plenty of Christmas clearance. The store is clean, parking is easy, and they are spraying down everything after every customer. I was pleased with the level of precaution they are taking.
