First time shopping in Buckle today. I was there shopping with a friend when salesperson, Kylie,…read moreapproached me. She asked if I have ever tried their jeans. I told her no, but I did really need a new pair.... Kylie not only NAILED my size on jeans, but she also brought me some items that made me step out of my comfort zone. I have been so tired of opting for comfy clothes that are admittedly pretty frumpy, but never knew where to start. I've never had a shopping experience quite like that, and I'm excited to return and get some other clothes for my *new* style. Anyway, I just really wanted to thank Kylie from the bottom of my heart. It made me kind of emotional because she truly made me feel good about myself, and she took pride in choosing very flattering pieces for me. It's not everyday that you meet someone excited to do their job, and her excitement was contagious. Everyone in the store was AMAZING, but Kylie really made a difference today for me. Awesome quality of clothes, and equally awesome staff and shopping experience. Check them out!

The store was huge with a very wide selection of clothing products. They had everything from babies all the way up to adults. The prices were very cheap for the items that she wanted. I think the entire shopping trip was under $60 and she left with several outfits and some pajamas. Checkout process was very easy. They had a ton of self checkout lanes open as well as multiple cashiers working.

It was not too busy. There were only three people in the customer service/returns line. It's well posted and we even had an employee come over and confirm we were there for Kohl's returns, because the Amazon returns was around the corner. I thought that was very kind. They have good brands to include Nike, Addidas, and Under Armor stuff. For women of any size there seems to be an adequate selection. But for the boys I wasn't as satisfied. They didn't have any Van's shirts (which is what I was hoping to exchange), but there was some shoes. I was able to get a few cute cammo girls shirts for our daughters and there was plenty of Christmas clearance. The store is clean, parking is easy, and they are spraying down everything after every customer. I was pleased with the level of precaution they are taking.

When I entered the store, the sales associate did not acknowledge me at all -- no greeting, no offer of help. As I walked through the store, she followed me closely from section to section, including into the fitting area where there were additional sales items. However, when two white women entered the store shortly after, the same associate immediately greeted them and offered assistance. When I approached the register to request the store manager's contact information, the assistant manager identified herself and I calmly explained what had occurred. At that point, the associate claimed she never even noticed me -- despite having followed me around the store the entire time. As I was leaving because I no longer felt welcome, the associate became hostile and yelled at me, stating that she "gets along with the assistant manager" who happens to be Black," which was completely inappropriate and deeply revealing. I am a Black woman. The associate is white. The customers who were greeted and assisted were white. The difference in treatment was clear. I was made to feel watched, unwelcome, and devalued as a customer. What I was wearing -- leggings and a hoodie -- should not determine whether I am treated with basic dignity or assumed to be suspicious. I hold a LOFT credit card and was fully prepared to shop. This was not just poor customer service. It was biased treatment that requires immediate attention. The associate needs serious customer service and bias training, and store leadership must address how this situation was handled. No customer should ever leave a store feeling humiliated, profiled, or unwelcome. I did.

I've been coming to this DXL for a while now, usually on weekdays between 1-4 pm, and the…read moreexperience has gotten noticeably better over the last 8 months. When I first started shopping here, the staff interaction was hit or miss--sometimes helpful, sometimes you'd feel ignored until checkout. Lately though, that's completely changed. The last couple of visits I was greeted as soon as I walked in, by the same woman both times, and the staff has been consistently friendly and available without hovering. I come here fairly often because it's one of the few stores that truly caters to big & tall, and they usually have what I need. Sometimes I'm just browsing, but I've also come in specifically for job interview clothes, workout gear, winter coats, and accessories for a suit I bought through their website. On my most recent visit, I picked up two winter hats that I had noticed on a previous trip when I was buying a tie and socks. The store itself has always been well maintained. It's quiet, never really packed, with average lighting and a relaxed shopping environment. I've never had to wait long to check out or get help, which I appreciate. Style-wise, some of what's on display leans a little "dad," but they clearly try to cover a wide range of looks. If something up front isn't my style, I can usually find better options on the racks. They carry a solid mix of brands like Polo/Ralph Lauren, Columbia, Nautica, and Levi's, along with their own in-house line that ranges from more affordable basics to higher-end pieces. Price-wise, it feels fair--brand-name items cost about what you'd expect elsewhere, and it's nice having those options in big & tall without paying a premium just for sizing. What keeps me coming back is the selection and the rotating stock. The clothes feel like things I actually want to wear, not just things I have to wear because I'm a bigger guy. I'll definitely continue shopping here and would recommend this location to other big & tall shoppers without hesitation.

Love, love, love, love Versona!…read more I never thought any retailer would be able to take the place of Charming Charlie (previous tenant) but Versona has done that and then some! Versona is a woman's clothing, accessory and boutique jewelry store located in the Bowie Town Center. Similar to Charming Charlie, Versona offers trendy jewelry, accessories, shoes and clothing items that swap out every week! Every time I visit, the shop looks different - I have no idea how the staff get it done, but I appreciate the fresh, seasonally themed looks from week-to-week! Versona also features a number of products on their online store, which you can get shipped for FREE here, every time! Staff are always pleasant, and they accept all forms of payment (Apple Pay, credit/debit/cash). I've gotten several compliments on my jewelry from here, so it's safe to say this spot is one of my favorites! Hope Versona is here to stay for the long haul!
