We really wanted to like this company, especially after having seen some really good reviews here. Paul showed up on time, the estimate was competitive, and he seemed to understand what we wanted. Unfortunately, either he failed to communicate with his installers or he just doesn't know what he's doing. They didn't follow instructions, they permanently damaged our roof, and the installation was sloppy. Adding insult to injury, they don't stand behind their work or honor their warranty. There is so much wrong with this job i don't even know where to start. The one thing we asked for was no new perforations in the new roof. But instead of installing the gutter under the drip edge they made sloppy cuts into them (I'm guessing with a chain saw), and then put lots of screw holes in them. In order to cover the sloppy cuts up they had to move the gutter away from the fascia leaving an obvious twist. When I called them on this they claimed that they had to cut into the drip edge to do the install--even after I'd shared lots of examples of gutters under the drip edges of standing seam metal roofs, not behind them. At the back of the house the incompetent installation resulted in a gutter that is two inches higher than necessary, and so close to the shade structure above it that we can't even get our hands inside the to clean it. We did ask the registrar of contractors to have a look--but their position was that since the manufacturer's instructions didn't say anything about how to manage an existing drip edge, they couldn't say it was a "bad" install. Here are some photos that show the gutter in the front, the twist, and the bad cut into the drip edge. Our roofer tells us we can't replace the damaged drip edges without replacing a significant part of the roof. read more

We had a great experience working with ECS gutters. Paul and Carrie are great communicators. Paul worked with us to get the best look for our house and not have too many downspouts. He had good ideas and options for several areas. We ended up trenching and adding a drain in 2 areas. One of these areas required pulling up paver bricks and reinstalling and that was done seamlessly. Paul was also there working with the crew for the install. The guys were all very nice and I felt comfortable with them there all day. It took about a day and a half for our job and we got it done just in time for the rain! read more

I've never had gutters installed and I also have a pretty old condo so home improvement is kind of challenging sometimes. Joaquin (sp?) came out to install and he was absolutely amazing! There were a couple of snafus before we could start and he was so calm and reassuring and KIND that I knew I was in good hands. He was also super informative and helped me pick a color (which is good since I had picked the wrong color on my own originally) which I so appreciated. He definitely knows his trade. He also made sure I understood what they were doing and listened when I had questions. He really put me at ease and never made me feel dumb or talked down to. If I have any issues and/or need gutters again somewhere else, I would request Joaquin again! I was nervous about getting rain gutters but not ready to face another monsoon season without them. I wasn't sure they would match my house or if there was even a way to get the water to drain toward the street in stead of flooding my backyard. Paul came out and walked with me around my house. Paul did a job for me about a year and a half ago. We were very pleased with the result. A few weeks ago we were having some work done and needed to find a new place to have our downspout drain out. We had been experiencing a lot of flooding around our house in the Cave Creek area so I decided to call ECS. The first point of contact, Carrie, made such a great impression. She was warm , understanding, knowledgeable & professional. She was able to get me scheduled for an estimate in a timely manner. She also made sure that our scheduling needs were fully taken care of. Then Paul came out to look at our situation and educate us regarding our drainage issues. His recommendations were both thorough and creative. (He ended up custom painting the gutters to match our house to comply with our HOA). His estimate was also very fair. I felt extremely confident in his abilities. He did a thorough job in making sure I understood what we needed and what we could expect. As a result, we decided to go with ECS. Then the installation came. The crew was extremely nice, hardworking and experienced. They were really concerned that we were happy with their work. They took all the time they needed to complete the job right.
