They set up bait boxes (did not require to purchase but a rather more inexpensive option to "rent" the bait boxes in which they simply refill them during monthly treatment. Other pest control companies were requiring for us to buy these expensive bait boxes to keep them (which adds another burden on the budget). Another great thing was they did not put any pressure on us at all they told us when the rodents are gone we could stop the monthly service anytime. They were very responsive as well and reply within a day. Our mice were completely gone and the house was very quiet. We still hire them for future maintenance as their prices are very good. We are grateful for their help and professionalism. Cassidy was our pest tech and she was so friendly. Amy was also in communication with me to set up treatment and she was great as well. The…read moreservice man showed up promptly, I thought listened to what I said, and laid 2 traps in the attic, saying there was no evidence of rats. Proceeded to dust exterior of home for spider webs (apparently part of the service) but never bothered to look for intrusion points of the rodent. Rats continued for 3 days, with no show from Orkin. BTW, Orkin attempted to sell me an annual package, $313 for initial visit , $110 monthly. I knew I was in trouble when the man showed up with a clipboard and asked me to sign a bunch of documents. I "negotiated" the one time $313 fee which included unlimited visits for a month. After 3 days I called a 2nd company. This service man immediately found the intrusion points, stuccoed it shut, went to the attic and found the traps laid nowhere near where the rats were entering (of course since Orkin never looked for this), found evidence of rats, which again Orkin couldn't or didn't look for. Orkin was scheduled to return so he told me to have Orkin lay traps by the intrusion points in the attic. Another Orkin service man showed up - I explained to him that his colleague did not seal the intrusion points and asked him to lay traps at the attic intrusion points. 2 more sleepless nights passed. I called the other company, he came out and found Orkin's traps nowhere near where I'd asked them to be placed. There is so much more but I'm so over this horrible company - they should be condemned by the Better Business Bureau and be put out of business.

I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. I understand accidents happen, projects don't always go as…read moreplanned, and I'm generally willing to give companies the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, this was, without question, the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I found Green Rodent Restoration through Nextdoor after seeing their positive reviews and the mention of potential SCE rebates. Although I later learned I didn't qualify for the rebate, I decided to move forward because the estimate and scope of work made sense. Rony was very thorough in explaining the process. During the attic work, including the insulation installation, my home sustained three separate areas of ceiling damage, including one where a worker stepped completely through the ceiling. When I raised my concerns, the foreman suggested it was because there weren't enough boards in the attic for the crew to walk on. As the homeowner, I hired professionals because I expected they knew how to safely perform this type of work. Before the crew left, I was told the attic fan would need to be rescheduled because of an issue. This only came up after they had already asked me for payment. Had I not pushed back, I believe they would have left without completing a major part of the project. When I questioned it, the foreman was dismissive rather than taking ownership of the situation. What disappointed me most was the lack of respect for my property. The crew shook a blanket full of insulation and debris into my front yard. When Green Rodent Restoration sent a contractor to repair the damage, the experience didn't improve. The contractor used my bathroom without cleaning up afterward, dumped dirty mop water containing soap and debris into my front yard, left drywall dust throughout my home, and I later discovered fresh scrapes on my staircase railing that were not there before. While the ceiling repairs are better than the original damage, they still don't look like a professional finished product. The cleanup and overall attention to detail also fell well below what I expected. In my opinion, Green Rodent Restoration should have had a supervisor or foreman present while the restoration work was being completed to ensure it was done properly. Communication afterward has been equally disappointing, and I have had to follow up repeatedly throughout this process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Rodent Restoration. My advice is to take your time, compare several companies, and don't make your decision based solely on reviews or the possibility of rebates. I only wish I had shopped around more before making my decision.
