Eco Bear cleaned my daughter's house in the desert after she returned from a three month trip away and found a big infestation of mice droppings! Since these droppings can be very harmful, we hired this company to thoroughly clean everything! They did a fantastic job! Emily was great to deal with as well as the two workers doing the work. They also were extremely trustworthy! When she returned to her house after it was done, they had found an heirloom necklace that she had previously lost and left it for her on her counter! They cleaned everything, including inside the cabinet drawers, every counter, the floors, anything left on the floors, the kitchen, bedrooms, etc. They ended up needing a few extra hours so stayed late rather than having to come back because they knew she was anxious to get back into her house! I highly recommend Eco Bear! read more

Emily and the team did an excellent job cleaning up the rat waste all over the basement, kitchen ceiling, and crawl space near the surrounding rooms. I was informed what they would be doing and how they will do it. They provided me with great peace of mind and, the best part of all, they are professional and punctual. read more

Venessa and Amelia were wonderful. They thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and organized a basement that probably never been done in at least 45 years. And they did it with a smile. They also cleaned extra containers and a shed that we realized needed it when they were with basement. They filled the entire truck. We could not believe how much useless stuff we had accumulated. We will definitely use them again but hopefully not for a long time. Plus Emily was willing to work with us on scheduling and pricing . Highly recommend Eco Bear. read more

This is a conversation between the owner and myself that happened on Yelp. I have never in my life reached out to a business with a sane and respectful request for services that they clearly offer and had the business tell me that they perform the service I am requesting but will not perform it for me, and then refuse to tell me why. I find it distasteful, and, given my own level of worry over having a potentially unsafe situation that I need cleaned, the refusal to discuss the reason is of course causing me anxiety. Is it because there is something even unhealthier about the situation than i realized? Is it discrimination? Is she just too busy? I'll never know, and I find this owner's interaction with me to be bizarre. Proceed with caution. Note: The owner writes in a rude response below that she "dodged a bullet" by not doing this job, suggesting that I am clearly a difficult person. Yet I am not a difficult person - I am a kind, professional person with a job in the helping services profession. I simply felt - for reasons I explained to her in my clear, respectful message, that it was important for me to know why I was being rejected as a client. To provide more context, I stated in my request that I have a medical condition that made me extra concerned about the situation for which I was requesting assistance - I do not know whether the owner had a negative reaction to this, but if this is the reason why the owner declined (since the request was thorough, clear, respectfully stated, and for services that this business provides, I can find no other reason), it is indeed considered discrimination in the state of CA. Emily K. Unable to service Sorry, I can't help with this request. 1/14/2024, 9:13 PM Me: Thank you. Can you explain why so I don't keep reaching out to the wrong businesses? From one of the Yelp reviews for your business from someone who needed to clean their house after a pet parasite issue, I thought your company specifically deals with things like this. 1/15/2024, 6:55 AM Emily K. We do deal with situation like this, but just based on what you're describing I don't think we are a good fit. I think other biohazard cleaning companies will be able to help you or you might even try a regular cleaning service. 1/15/2024, 7:31 AM Me: Can you please describe why you don't think we are a good fit? I have not found one biohazard company that will do it. They all say that they only work with non-porous surfaces. I feel like I need more information to understand how businesses are assessing this. 1/15/2024, 9:01 AM Emily K. Call Cendecon. They might help you. I would prefer not to answer why you are not a good fit. 1/15/2024, 11:06 AM Me: Nevertheless, I would like an answer. I understand that you have a reason, but from my perspective, it's a bizarre answer, and I have no idea what is going on. Your website mentions transparency and respect, and I would appreciate that. 1/15/2024, 7:58 PM [No response, even after two additional messages. Also, the company she recommended has multiple Yelp reviews by women specifically stating that the owner was unpleasant/strong handed/disparaging with them.] read more

Over the years, we've had an occasional grate come off the small vents to the crawl space underneath our house, and rats, without fail, have always figured out how to exploit those opportunities. Of course, rats do what rats do - they poop everywhere and tear things up. Because we were getting new piping and ducting underneath the house, I wanted to make sure everything was clean and safe, and reached out to Emily at Eco Bear to help. She has been absolutely amazing in her communication and dealings, and the crew she's had here over the course of two days doing to clean up and sanitizing have been FANTASTIC. They're on time, professional, and they really work hard and take pride in their work. The before and after pictures are amazing, and I am so glad (and grateful!) that I found Eco Bear. Thank you, Emily, for getting our home back to how it's supposed to be! I really appreciate it. read more

I contacted Eco Bear to clean out a family membership house after they were taken to rehab for a very serious heroin addiction. Not only was the house filled with needles, garbage and animal feces but it had also fallen victim to 35 years of neglect with a splash of hoarding. Vanessa's team was amazing, efficient, kind, sensitive and communicative. Not only did they do an excellent job but it was a pleasure being around every single one of them (and there was a team of 6!) for a long a difficult day. Further, dealing with Emily via Yelp was so easy. These are great people who have a very very hard job and they went above and beyond. read more

I called and tried to explain my situation and the lady over the phone was rude and didn't address anything just quoted a price. just with an attitude quoted a price without even talking to me about anything I needed or anything just to try to detour, me, even though that was around the same price that everybody else quoted she was rude so I decided to not give this business any business I'm confused on if people are in the cleaning industry why are they being so stuck up uninviting? read more

This was the second occasion that I, unfortunately but thankfully, had to utilize the services of this company. We had a second unattended death in the family. My aunt had fallen in the bathroom and may have been there for a week before a friend dropped by and noticed the mail accumulating at her front door. EcoBear set up a next day appointment to cleanup, disinfect and sanitize the apartment. They allow 30 days to pay off invoice, which is more than enough time. Thank you EcoBear. We really appreciate you! read more

I enjoy working with Eco Bear! Emily is very kind, helpful and swift to respond and schedule. They also do a great job! On behalf of the company I work for I have contacted them for: mold removal, body fluid clean up, feces clean up, and removal of infested/soiled items such as beds and refrigerators. For the service and quality of work, the price is great. Before working with Eco bear we worked with other biohazard companies and they charged significantly more than Eco Bear. read more

The quote Emily gave was very reasonable and accurate given the service. It was also half of a competitor's. Amanda came out the same day I called, was extremely professional, and did an amazing job. She cleaned up blood from a fall, was extremely thorough and made sure I was satisfied with the work. Anyone considering biohazard cleaning should give Eco Bear a call. This is the first time I used this type of service and I would not hesitate to recommend Amanda and Eco Bear to anyone looking for specialized cleaning. read more

Ray and his team cleaned out my grandparents home. They had lived in it for 55 years and left it in an unsanitary, uninhabitable condition. Without Eco Bear, my family would not have been able to handle the waste disposal on our own. When they found old valuables, Ray would be upfront and honest before discarding them. Eco Bear was always on time, responsible, and professional. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anybody with overwhelming cleaning needs. Many thanks to Ray and his team. Ray from Eco Bear was the most reasonably priced biohazard company I called. He gave us a flat fee quote. After seeing the home, he was able to help us identify ways that we would be able to save some more $. Unfortunately, we had a bio-clean up that my husband and I were not equipped to take care of ourselves. He went through the home with a fine toothed comb...was able to identify and clean blood stains that even I didn't catch. I hope to never call him again....but if I require his services in the future, I will not be going anywhere else Feel free to send a PM if you are unsure of whether or not to have Ray and his company take care of your biohazard...I am more than happy to be a reference. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company! We felt very overwhelmed with needing some remediation services and we not familiar with the process. Emily put our minds at ease and was so patient, taking the time to speak with us on multiple occasions to answer all of our questions and never complained about us rescheduling due to the unpredictability of rain. On the day of our appointment, her crew arrived early and were very accommodating when we had to have a car towed that was in the parking space that we had reserved for them in advance. We felt so fortunate to have Vanessa and Matthew handle the job, they alleviated all of our concerns and were extremely personable and understanding. They completed all of the work on time and with smiles on their faces. It was a huge relief and we will always be grateful to Eco Bear for their compassion and professionalism, I would give them more than 5 stars of possible. Do not hesitate to utilize their services, they are affordable, thorough and phenomenal! read more

Emily was great in setting up a NEXT morning cleaning service appointment for my elderly mother in law. Ray and his assistant did an excellent job cleaning a pretty difficult area. I'm very pleased with the work and the price was reasonable. I'll definitely use Eco Bear again and I will recommend them to anyone who needs a cleaning job that "regular" cleaning services would not do! Thank you Ray and Emily! read more

Ray arrived right on time and got straight to work. He was very thorough and capable cleaning the evidence of rat infestation in our garage and basement. A great many boxes and books and other material had to be thrown out, or sprayed, or wiped w/ disinfectant. There was considerable physical labor involved, and he and I basically worked together as I pointed out what items should be discarded, and which were to be disinfected and retained. He hauled-off all the material to be discarded. I thought the process was very straightforward and their price more than reasonable. Richard S. read more

It's amazing that I have had to hire Ray and Emily TWICE in one year! We all had a good laugh about that. Eco Bear is incredible and do such a fantastic job. They are kind and considerate and so understanding of whatever situation you might be in. They will make recommendations if you ask and will be very truthful with you about what can and cannot be saved. It sounds weird, but I hope I never have to talk to them again, but if I do end up in a situation that needs this particular type of help, Ray and Emily are definitely the people I will be calling. read more

These guys were lovely. We had a puppy die from parvo and needed to decontaminate my entire property to make it safe for other dogs. The only thing that kills parvo is bleach (or steaming) and other places I got quotes from freaked out when I said it would need bleach and seemed to have no similar experience. One guy even yelled at me. In contrast, Eco Bear was obviously familiar with this sort of clean up. They were lovely, kind, prompt, respectful and accommodating. Their prices were comparable with competitors, but they knew what they were doing in my specific and slightly unusual situation. They did a great job and I am very grateful for their help. I would definitely hire them again should I have the misfortune of needing another biohazard clean up. read more

Fantastic! First time to use a cleaning service & really blessed that Ray was the one. He is the nicest, most professional person you can imagine having in your home. Ray came along side of us to help us with a very bad bio-hazard cleanup. A neighbor had fallen and was stuck on a cold tile floor for four days before being rescued. Ray came to assist us with the cleanup and worked arduously for over four hours to remediate the home. We are very grateful for his professional service and genuine care for the neighbor, though having not met him. What a rare quality. I hope to never have to require a bio-hazard service ever again, but if I do, Ray would be the only service I would consider. read more

Very bad experience with this company. They got our business by bidding a low flat rate. We paid the flat rate on day one before the job was fully completed which was our big mistake. Turns out they were not to be trusted. It took a 2nd day to complete the work ( or do we were told). So we agreed to pay an additional $450 plus the cost to dispose of a small freezer. However, once on the 2nd day on the job, in the middle of the job, the worker, Richard, threatened to walk off if we refused to agree to $100 per hour with no estimated time of completion and/or if we expressed dissatisfaction with the work. He walked off leaving 80-90% of our garage contents strewn across our front lawn. Then made fake offers to make good. Offered to send the husband, Co owner out to work a few hours at no charge then when we finally accepted, pulled that back and offered a $500 refund then failed to deliver that. Instead, when I called to ask if check was mailed, the other coowner, Emily, went crazy on the phone, screening at the top of her lungs saying "don't ever call me again! ... " Failed service all the way around. read more
