I was absolutely blown away by this spot! The views are breathtaking, and the restaurant itself is nothing short of spectacular. Unfortunately, there were no tables available in the main dining area, so we settled into the bar section with its more limited menu. That said, we tried the pizza, which was hands down the best I've ever had in Puerto Rico. Crispy crust, excellent cheese and fresh toppings, pure perfection. The sushi was equally delightful, bursting with fresh flavors and expertly rolled. To cap it off, the bread pudding was a delcious indulgent finale that left me craving more. This was such a cute spot. I found it on Yelp originally, but a friend told me they had gone there the previous night and had a wonderful experience. They did not lie. The location itself is gorgeous. It's right on the edge of the beach, romantically lit up with soft lighting all around. The service was phenomenal. Everyone was friendly and professional, and although it was busy, we never felt ignored or lacking. I ordered a Passion Fruit VIP Mojito. It was straight-up delicious and packed a punch. We started with the bacalaitos, fried to perfection over an avocado relish. Everything was fresh and the fish was fried just right with a soft, satisfying texture. Next came our main courses. I ordered the Arroz Con Pollo, and my fiancé ordered the Filet Mignon. It was SO hard not to finish my plate (because I knew I wanted dessert) but it was flavorful just like my Abuela used to make it, instead of making everything together the chicken was cooked separately and had a flaky, crunchy exterior. SO SO SO GOOD. My partner's plate was also scrumptious. The Rosemary Demi glaze on the filet and potatoes was amazing and the mash was silky smooth. To follow and end the night we ordered the Banana Pecan Bread Pudding and an Espresso Martini Boricua. It was everything you want in a dessert, warm, crunchy, creamy, salty, and sweet. We were looking forward to dining at the establishment since it was close to our vacation rental. As a Yelp Elite member, I pulled up the trusted app to view what was close and this was an option. We wanted to try a different place than the evening before to get a wider range of dining experiences. There is no listing saying that reservations are required, so we proceeded to travel to the location. We were greeted by a guard who took our information and checked out our vehicle. Again, there was no indication or questioning about reservations so we arrived at the parking lot. We walked on the walkway to make the rest of the way around the foliage. Upon arrival, the host was off to the distance talking to a fellow server. He walked up and looked us up and down with distaste. I simply asked if they had seating for our group. Very scornfully and plainly, he responded, "No." There was no follow up question to ask if we had reservations. There was no follow up clarification to say that we needed one, or an invitation to come back another night because they couldn't seat us that particular evening. No smile, no greeting, no apology. As we were leaving, we asked a young handsome couple if they had made a reservation. They said no. Curious about the curt and dismissive behavior, I also called and asked what time was the last seating for dinner. The person on the phone, someone named Carlos, said their last seating was at 9:00pm. When we had arrived, it was a little before 8:30pm and they were at about 30% capacity, so there was definitely room. Something I've noticed on the island is that many of the younger servers and attendants tend to be very discriminatory and lacking customer service. As a former server, I would never let a potential customer walk away without knowing why we were not able to serve them. The communication and transparency was lacking on many parts: the website does not say reservations are REQUIRED, the Yelp listing has someone managing because it has been claimed yet there is no mention of REQUIRED reservations, the guard who is a part of the Villa Montana resort staff did not ask if we had reservations, and the staff member who I spoke to was HIGHLY dismissive. I'm sure this is a lovely location as a structure but it is certainly lacking transparency. Please train your staff to be kinder to PAYING CUSTOMERS. Part of Human Resources training should include anti-discriminatory practices so they do not sneer at visiting tourists who make more money than they do. We have a lot friends and family visiting the island in the coming months and we will make certain that they don't patronize this business. The experience almost ruined our day. However, we decided to go a few minutes further out to make up for the experience. If you are in the area, I would recommend taking a short drive to Cinco Restaurant in Aguadilla. The food was phenomenal and the service was stellar with our host and server Abisai who supremely attentive. read more

Stayed at Villa Montaña Resort and of course we had to try the food at Eclipse restaurant, Just FYI you have to reserve a seat at the restaurant (even as guests at the resort) so keep that in mind. We were able to get seated though since we were okay sitting at the bar. I got to try a lot of the food from there since we attended a wedding in the resort so I'll give my review for each one: -Piña Colada : It was good! Not too sweet, but that's how I liked it. A bit expensive though, so I wouldn't get it again. -Minosa: refreshing! A bit too strong for me though. -Jacinto (pizza) : punched us in the face with flavor! It was delicious and had a strong flavor. -Garlic and Cheese Sticks : our FAVORITE thing in the menu. The cheese pull on this was insane and it was well seasoned. Would absolutely get this again and again. -Baked Brie : also really good! The seasoned bacon that came with it was delicious and paired perfectly with the pastry. -Tropical Ahi Tuna Tartar: This one was ok, it was good but I wouldn't get it again. Just wasn't as flavorful as the other dishes there. -Bacalaitos (Cod Fritters) : this was delicious! Perfectly crispy and addictive! A little on the salty side but that's kinda how I like it. -Empanadas de guava y Queso (Guava and Cheese Turnovers) : this was my boyfriend's favorite. A great snack/dessert. The guava and cheese was a perfect pair. -Grilled angus churrasco: the seasoning was good, I felt like it was stiff though? Very hard to cut and bite into. -Local Catch of the day: for the catch of the day we had Mahi Mahi which was good! We had it twice during our trip. The first time it was delicious and was cooked perfectly, the second time we had it we were disappointed because it was over cooked and have become rubbery. -Croquetas de jamon iberico y queso manchego : this one was one of my favorite appetizers! So flavorful! I could eat a dozen of these. Overall, food was good! Very expensive price point but you're also paying for the ambiance. The restaurant was gorgeous with an amazing view. The only reason why I ended up rating the restaurant a four star was the inconsistent service. Sometimes the servers were very sweet and accommodating, on other days, we are ignored. I was also sad when they wouldn't honor the 5 dollars off from Yelp from the restaurant! They wouldn't tell us why they wouldn't honor it and I didn't fight or make a big deal out of it but it was a bummer since we've been looking forward to using the coupon. Other than that, I would recommend it if you were in the area and looking for a nice dinner date next to a beautiful beach. Is it a must-go though? The shrimp was described as blackened on the menu & they lacked any seasoning as well. My husband had the sirloin and mushroom risotto, which was decent. The bread basket and the free birthday dessert were the best part of the meal for me. We were so excited to eat here based on the menu, but we are probably going to leave the resort for our other meals now. We tried a few of their dishes, and the quality was good. Our favorite dishes from our experience were wood fire pizza (maghretia), the mussels, and the seafood risotto. Dinner was on the pricier side, and the mimosa bucket was a little pricy as well. Breakfast was good as well. We enjoyed the smoked salmon aggs benedict. We stayed at the Villa Montana Beach Resort for 5 days this month and spent quite a bit of time at Eclipse, as there weren't many common areas to spend time with friends (also guests). I had the chance to encounter a lot of the Eclipse staff and try many different menu items. Below is my experience: -Service 3/5. Some of the staff was kind and attentive while others were not. It was a mixed bag overall in regard to customer service. -Ambiance 5/5. The hotel clearly put a lot into the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a beautiful vibe. -Value 2/5. Pricing was steep for quality and portion sizes. We blew approximately $300 on dinner as a group of 4 (with most drinks being prepaid at the bar while waiting for the table) and left still feeling somewhat hungry. For example, a past with sauce (no veggie or meat) was $35..it was consumed in 3 bites. Menu items: -Pizza 4/5. Delicious pizzas that are served fast. -Chicken caesar wrap with rosemary shoestring fries 5/5. Filling and tasty lunch. -Mussels 3/5. I prefer a white wine sauce over a red sauce but they were ok. -Apple crumble dessert 3/5. Tasty but did not stand out for the price. -Bucatini with Arabiatta 2/5. Expensive for only a few bites. The lovely hostess offered the option of two tables - one in the middle of the dining room and another "more intimate table" tucked away in the corner of the open air restaurant with a partial ocean view. We opted for the latter as this was supposed to be a romantic dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. However, halfway into our meal we realized that this was not a romantic corner - it was the entrance to the beach where dining adults let their kids run out to and back all night. We arrived at the entrance at 9:05 PM expecting to have plenty of time to eat since the restaurant lists that it closes at 10:30 PM. I don't remember the name, but the one with prosciutto was basically a plain jane pepperoni. Nothing special. Eclipse Pizza was good, but also nothing special. Finished the night still craving something more. Ordered bread pudding. That night it included blueberries. Probably the highlight of our meal. 3 course meal + a (cheaper) bottle of white wine + tip came out to about $130 for the two of us. Comparable to the date nights we have back home. Booked this place because it was recommended by our air bnb host. I actually booked the private gazebo which has to be booked through the hotel. We had a private and intimate romantic dinner on the beach for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. The table set up and ambiance they created within the gazebo was lovely. I can't remember our server but she was oh so sweet and attentive. Our dinner was in 4 courses including a bottle of wine. Every dish was spectacular! We have some octopus on cauliflower puree, and I believe some salmon baos as the first two courses. Our main course was a lamb shank that was delicious, it was a little raw and cold on the inside so we sent it back to be fixed. Other than that everything was amazing. My hubby had the 12 ox grilled angus churrasco steak this steak was better tasting than mine even though mine was very good. Both my girls had the seafood risotto and loved it the shrimp were as big as my palm. For desert we had the bread pudding and chocolate cake both really good but the bread pudding was better not by much though. They brought them out with candles for my girls and they had happy birthday chocolates for them too which was very sweet. We also loved Coco the restaurant kitty. I'm so surprised that this restaurant is rated 4-stars. This place is such a sweet spot! Situated facing the ocean and backed by a small swimming pool, no matter what direction you are sat in you will have a serene view. Easy to enter beach resort, I showed up without reservations and was unable to sit in the dining area but was able to sit in an outdoor lounge area with no problem. The waitstaff (bartenders) were so attentive, efficient, and kind! We had such a wide assortment of foods that we have a pretty good idea of just how good the kitchen is. Based on recommendations we made the trip to Eclipse from Rincon. We had a lovely day in the area then arrived early for our reservation. The restaurant requires a $20 deposit per person for reservations so we were definitely going to show. They were between lunch and dinner and the host seemed pretty disinterested in accommodating us. We helped ourselves to the bar which served stone fired pizza which was actually very good. The atmosphere is nice but they clearly cater to guests at the property before ppl staying off sight. I could give you a bunch of details that highlight why we won't return and wouldn't suggest as a destination but i will sum up by saying it thinks it's better than it is. Besides the pizza, the food was average (at best) and the off-putting welcome was weird. Hotel guests got preference on outside seating as well which is most of the atmosphere. read more

It tasted nice and fresh. It was good. Then they gave us a little round cheese filled something. They called it a croquette. I enjoyed it very much. I was not to crazy about the seviche. The white sangria was great. My first time having it. The organic turkey was delicious. It was stuffed with goat cheese and spinach. it had a puree that was ok. The dessert was my Favorite. It was the chocolate mouse bomb. It was praline and chocolate. The restaurant is beautiful and beautifully decorated. Located next to the beach. It has a beautiful view of the beach.
