A Quality performed a complete retrofit, our HVAC system last fall. We want to explore a heat pump…read moresystem which we believe is spot on for Ariz.'s Climate. After the job completion, we wrote a gloriously favorable review for the and office team who supported us throughout the process. Now nine months later, we noticed anomalies in the system's performance. The team immediately set up a service call. Aidan Divarco, their ace warranty technician, was dispatched. He was here months ago as as we have a zone system splitting the house. This adds some nuance to the overall system. And on que, Aiden came in with sleeves rolled up. He is well trained and very intuitive. That's a compelling combination. Most owners of companies would steal to find a talent like him. Without sharing all the details and many hours of discovery, he really did not find something obvious. Yet he performed many checks of the system and did a few tweaks as the backyard was heating up for one of our first warmer weeks. I cannot emphasize how much we admire his truly genuine commitment to customer care along with his dedication and talent. He never has any excuses or even challenges that he is unable to hurdle. He's like the Everready bunny, locked and loaded and ready for bear. Hands down, he is the Valleys Michael Jordan superstar warranty "technician . And a great guy to boot. A Quality HVAC is truly blessed to have him on their Team..

We live in Verrado, and used to be a customer of A/C Guys, but that business was sold to A Quality,…read moreso this was my first experience with them. And what a great experience it was! Their technician, Aiden came out, arrived on time, wore boot covers in the house, and performed a very complete and comprehensive tune up on both of our systems. They didn't try to do any upsell for unnecessary repairs, and made sure our a/c units were ready to go for the summer. I highly recommend this company for any of your HVAC or Plumbing needs. And, btw, before I retired, I spent 35 years with the Trane Company as a senior sales executive, so I know the business inside and out. These guys are the real deal!

I was told I would receive a quote the next day which I never received. I followed up with Justin 3 times and he never responded to me. I finally had another Plummer come out who discovered the drain in the tub was loose and had no calking. Quick and much less expensive fix on the spot. Disappointed that this wasn't even checked during the initial visit and on top of it completely ghosted me when I was willing to pay for the work he said I would need.

So when Justin put in my hot water heater everything seemed good. However, 10 months later it…read morestopped working. Turns out that he didn't used a grounded nut or ox-Gard, which are standard when combining metals. Basic water heater install 101 but failing to do it could have cause a fire in my home! He ordered all new parts from the manufacturer as it was under warranty for parts and they refused to ship them without proof (has this happened before?!??!). I ended up without water for 4 days and missed time away from work. Sure he's friendly, and he did cover the cost for another technician to spot and repair his error (minus $2 venmo fee) BUT my personal opinion is that he runs this "error" to bilk people out of $185 -- because labor is not covered on the warranty -- to repair operational heaters while he pockets the parts and scams manufacturers. When I tried to get him to compensate me for my inconvenience, he accused me of "strong arming" him. Find another plumber, this one is either incompetent or a crook.

(31 years in the AZ sun) He cleaned up some damaged wires, and replaced all breakers. Installed a surge suppressor to bring to code also. Not inexpensive, but just bought 30 years of peace of mind! Chis is a pro that has earned his stripes. Skilled, competent, and personable. Take care of him, BB!

Beware! Appears that this "locally owned company" was purchased by a private equity group (Flint…read moreGroup is the platform company with General Atlantic being the private equity firm). We ultimately paid way too much for a basic 50 gallon hot water heater swap (bundled price of almost $3000). I was out of town and my wife was busy with work when this happened. We had used Bumble Bee Plumbing in the past and trusted them. That trust has been broken and will never return. My wife left a Google review. There was a response posted as "response from the owner" which left a phone number of 602-813-0298 to call so we could speak with their "manager" to address our concerns. I tried to call that number twice...it's been disconnected! Do your research, get multiple bids and verify that the company you are calling is truly LOCALLY OWNED and has not been rolled up under some private equity structure. We have all seen countless stories about how private equity could care less about the customer and how they leave a trail of destruction and debt in the end. It's largely about profits, margins and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization). This is the valuation metric that's referenced (with a multiple applied) when they sell. In most cases, that's ultimately ALL PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS CARE ABOUT! It's a sad yet not surprising story on the fleecing of America! All I can say about Bumble Bee Plumbing is my experience was very different this time and it appears that since my last time using them, private equity has gotten involved. I'll let you draw your own conclusions! Would love to see a customer advocacy/awareness story on one of the local news affiliates about how private equity has consolidated so many previously locally owned trade businesses (plumbing, HVAC, electrical). This might be a good starting point for that type of story.
