After discovering some significant plumbing oversight in our new/old home, we were so fortunate to be pointed in the direction of Charles. He was able to come diagnose an issue in our shower the same day we called him. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took several trips to the hardware store to do exactly what we needed and ensure that he could fix the problem. He is well-connected and was able to put us in contact with a great tile person who finished up the job such that you could never tell we had work done. Charles also helped fix my mom's flooding toilet and cleared a clogged drain at our house. Thank goodness for Charles and Delaney's Plumbing. I decided I thought it would be a good idea to try and put a paper towel amongst other various items down my garbage disposal. I tried to unclog it myself and just before putting a drain cleaner down the drain I thought it might be best to give Charles a call. Good thing I did too. Yes, oh yes....do call Delaney Plumbing if you need great service. I called this morning and left a message. Received a timely callback and he was out to our house, problem fixed within 4 hours. He gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone, which was very reasonable and that is exactly what it cost. I am beyond thrilled to have a new, pleasant, capable plumber. Let's try this again. Apparently my review was taken down because it was unrealistic. My praise was too much. When working with any professional or contractor, if I don't like your service then I vote with my feet. You will not get another call from me. If your services were OK but not stellar, I keep looking. I might call you again, but that is not guaranteed. If your services is beyond the call of duty, you have my business for life. Charles is one of those contractors. Charles has been my plumber for 16 years. Don't ask him to clean a clog. But for remodels and leaks, he is your guy. Maybe because I have a 16 year relationship with Charles is why he goes above and beyond. About 5 years ago I had a leak on Christmas Eve. Due to slab leaks, my supply plumbing is on my roof under the foam. Charles came back when there was a "freeze warning" to insulate the section he fixed so it would not freeze and burst. Emailed Charles to locate pur sewer line. He asked if I was at home, I confirmed I was and he was at our house within an hour, located the line within 3 mins! He's got a snake with camera. He re-did the entire process for my sake and asked me to view his monitor as he re-did the process. You just can't get better service that what Charles delivered. read more

I contacted Delaney's 5 days ago and discussed getting estimate for a gas line install. I found him on LinkedIn as he was posting a request for website work, which I do. So I mentioned a barter, not a requirement, just a question. We discussed install options, he answered my questions and he said he would be out here in the next few days. So now 5 days later no response. I texted him and he doesn't want to come because he doesn't do free estimates, which I never asked for and he never mentioned a price to do the estimate. He also mentioned he was "bothered" by my barter question. Which is valid but it was just a question that he could have easily said no. I was completely willing to pay for an estimate and the work but at no time did he mention either. I am giving him 2 stars because his communication in our situation was unacceptable. If I would have known these issues during our initial discussion we could have handled them and had a successful transaction for both parties. Now I wasted 5 days of my project timeline waiting for a plumber who in my opinion could not communicate effectively. read more

Fantastic plumber, my traditional hot water heater sat in the center of my house which is very typical for 50's houses. When it went bad I wanted it moved and I wanted to go tankless. After talking to 8 different plumbers, Charles was the only one who understood what I was trying to do and help it become a reality. He went above and beyond several times. Since I was out of town traveling for work most of our communication was done via text, which made me very nervous but Charles came through in every way. Tried to get a general quote, said he charges by the job and will not give me a general price. Tells me I have to pay $70 for him to come out and he will keep that money if the estimate is higher than I expect. Would not tell me how much it would be if the job lasts one hour since he wants to price by the job. Usually people tell me that when they want more per hour than would be fair for the job. I will avoid him! Could have at least given me better information or been more friendly. Most customers want to know what something will cost in general for an amount of time on a specif job so we do not waste our time waiting for them and paying them a fee when they give us a high bid! read more
