I had the opportunity to go to their store on Curity Avenue a couple of weeks ago. The young lady there was pleasant but kind of pushy. I almost bought a bike from her but she said if I did and gave a positive review, we will give you a free gift. Which was a helmet she said was worth $50. Does this mean they are paying people to give positive Google reviews? I read that one of their bikes caused a major fire in a condo in Vancouver where a man died because of faulty batteries. It hasn't been proven yet in court but the poor woman's husband died and it could be that these guys are to blame. These guys talk about what a great Canadian company they are, but you wonder when they are asking for fake google reviews and then selling products which could be dangerous. I don't think I will buy from them. I mean any company that wants you to give a positive review even before you get the bike home, I wonder..... read more

DAYMAK is the worst e-bike and the after-sales service I have ever seen. I am in the scooter Li-ion battery trade for 3 years all my customers complain DAYMAK a horrible experience. I also have two incidents with them. I never recommend DAYMAK or E-BIKE UNIVERSE their service partner as good business places to go. THEY WOULD LIKE TO KEEP THEIR HANDS ALWAYS IN YOUR POCKET. INCIDENT 1 I went with my DAYMAK ROME E scooter bike to get repaired a steering issue. First, they charged $ 65 CAD saying that they charge one hour labor to find out the issue. They promised they would call me within two days and email my receipt for the payment since the printer did not work. I did not get any call or e-mail. I went after a week. They looked at me just like I came to rob a bike since they could not find any record and I didn't have any document. I found my scooter was parked with the others. I pointed out it. A guy went to it and asked for my name and got verified it is as my e-scooter. Then they told a part called Triple tree is not available in the stock and asked for a week to find it. I went for several weeks and they could not find it. A guy was trying to explain that my bike is 3 to 4 years old and they do not carry parts. I told them it has run less than 100 Km even though it is 3 years old. He was telling me that they do not have a responsibility to import parts for old e-scooters they sold. THIS IS THE AFTER-SALES SERVICE OF DAYMAK. Never buy it if you want to save your money. The payment invoice and pictures are attached as the witness. INCIDENT TWO I asked for a pair of front signal lights and a rear signal light for a DAYMAK Rome e-bike they sold. The salesgirl called a guy inside and asked him to find whether they are in stock. My bike was inside there garage but he never tried to match the parts with it. He came with some signal lights and told me they are good for DAYMAK ROME. He took my credit card went inside the store and came with the invoice and the signal lights. I found the Invoice was wrong. It mentioned two rear signal lights and one front signal lights. He didn't want to change it. He said "It is okay since the price is the same" I took them home and found the pair of front signal lights are different than the original. The sales guy has given something totally different. After two days I went to get them exchanged. Another guy came out and told me, "We don't exchange or refund after we sell something. It is our policy. It is written everywhere." He was showing me the posters. I explained to him that there sales guy gave me that saying it was the suitable lights for DAYMAK ROME. He called the salesperson. The salesperson was crying from inside " He asked for the signal lights for DAYMAK ROME" ....! I told "But it is different. Please check on the bike. it is inside". He replied but it is our policy not to return money or exchange parts. WONDERFUL. He said the parts were perfect and sold me. Now it has become my fault that I did not match the parts with the bike sitting inside their service department. I am having it. I am taking legal action to get my money, legal charges, and with a compensation of another $ 5000 for my time and hassle they made. Never go there if you want to save your money and time. I purchased the Florence Fat Tire Ebike Tricycle from the Canadian Home Shopping Channel from Ebike Univers. It was delivered to my home in working order but within 20 days the batter meter no longer worked but I figured I would have that checked out after summer and just make sure it was always fully charged. Around the 30th day I took the fully charged bike to High Park . On the very first hill in the park the bike went dead staritng to go up a hill. I had no way of getting this bike home other than riding it with no power to St.Clair and Keel which would not be so bad accept that I am in the middle of chemotherapy treatments and extremely weak. A 20 minute ride took me 2 and a half hrs to get home. I slept for 24 hrs after . I noticed when I moved the bike backwards out of garage to take it to the shop that the front wheel was making clicking sounds and had resistance which was never there before. I explained to the technician about battery meter and front wheel and bike would not move at all but had power. Technician told me the motor was blown out. After 30 freaking days!₩ I was told it would be ready in 2 weeks. On day 10, i phone for updates. I'm told they are waiting for new speedometer for bike since mine does not communicate with the bike....i asked the woman in service " What about the motor in front wheel?" She replied that it was fine..".bike works they tested it" I called back yesterday and they still don't have the part for my lemon of a bike! Going on 3rd week now! I was also told that because I purchased the bike off the shopping Channel which Ebike universe delivered to my home that I would have to pay 75 dollars an hour in labour but parts were free! This bike was not even 2 months old and I have to pay for repairs already I bought this bike because I am doing chemotherapy and I have no license..with covet-19 I can't be taking public transit or Uber. But after 40 days this bike is already in the shop for repairs....and I really don't think they have addressed the front tire. I have a feeling after they put in the new speedometer they will need more weeks waiting for another motor. I am really hoping that is not the case. I had one of the worst experiences ever with this company! here is what happened: I spent $3400 on a new EM2. within 1 week the bike fell apart WHILE RIDING. when I say fell apart, I mean the frame literally cracked in half while driving and I was stuck on the road for 3 hours until a tow came. The tow cost $200 which Ebike universe did NOT cover. I called them back immediately asking for a refund because now I do not feel safe riding these bikes. The sales rep refused to give me my money back and insisted I take an "upgraded" bike the EM3. I feel really unsafe riding these especially when the sales rep said "don't worry we will check this one and make sure its safe." well shouldn't they have done that the first time? I could have been in a serious accident. Specs on the "upgraded" bike are more or less the same but the bod of the bike is different. Not the bike I wanted, not the color for $3400 now I am dissatisfied with my money spent. So I am left with no choice but to take the bike because its clear I wasn't getting my money back. 2 weeks later, the charger for this new bike blows. now I can't charge my new "upgraded" bike. so I bring back the charger to ebike universe and they insult me by offering 10% discount on a new charger... 10%!!! that's not even tax. they wouldn't cover the charger and wouldn't price match the same charger I found for cheaper. This company is super unprofessional and sell cheaply made products be very careful when spending a lot of money here. read more

STAY CLEAR! After spending $3000 on a daymak eagle deluxe and delivered to my home in Pembroke from Toronto, I got to ride it for 3 months before I was stranded for 2 hours after my motor blew. I called to see if I could have it shipped back and fixed since it's under warranty and only been 3 months. I was told I would have to either pay $800 to ship it back or bring it myself and they would replace the motor for free under warranty. When I ordered the ebike, they had free shipping anywhere in Canada. After 3 months, they changed there policy. Anyways, I had to spend $450 to bring it to Toronto. Had to wait 3 months for them to find a motor for my ebike. I finally got it back and now my charger for the ebike has blown... like WTF! I have had it!!! read more

this is the worst place in the city! Their technicians are useless an hav no idea what they are doin. I have paid for tha same problem to be fixed on both my bike an the wife's bike at least 4 times. An their bikes are substandard an will likely break down within weeks of purchase..do not buy or get repairs done at this place cause they will swap your new parts for old parts read more

Absolute trash. I bought an EM2. Had it 3 days. Had a throttle delay of 10+ seconds which led to me having an accident. They fixed it at cost to me (took 3 weeks) got it back rode to work 20 km (advertises 60) and it is dead . Save yourself grief and a lot of money and DON'T BUY FROM THEM. I wish I had known before. I'm poor and couldn't afford to lose the money I have on this bike ($3500 + $270 repairs if you can call it repaired since it doesn't work properly). So sad right now. This place is trash. read more

2 months after purchasing a daymak EM3 the batteries stopped working and warranty was rejected. I would look at other options.

By far the worst service I've ever had the experience of dealing with. As I write this I've been waiting six weeks to get a new batteries installed and just called and they haven't even looked at it yet! Hugely frustrating experience. They say they'll call back and don't and I just found out that the bike's not even at the store it's supposed to be. Never again! read more
