This is a long review, but if you want the short version. Bottom line, the company and the people…read more(Rick, Horatio, Skip, Tercio, and Willy) working here are awesome, when I save up some more money I will be looking to do a few more projects. First and foremost everyone with Before and After Home Improvement has a work ethic and it's a good one, no shabby shoddy work here. When Rick came to give me an estimate for the project he brought books that had the different colors and grades/levels of composite decking as well as a book with the different railing and baluster choices. Now I did have other estimates set up, however one did not show, and the other company was very nice but they emailed me the quote a few days later and told me they used Trex decking and that was it, no brochures or explaining the different options, nothing, made me wonder if I was supposed to do my own research. Rick explained the high and low end options and the differences in the type of boards Trex carries, which were also pictured in the brochure. If you are within a budget he will let you know what the pricing differences are, your best option, how long the product will last, warranties, ect. He takes the time to talk to you like you're a person and not just a customer in the assembly line. The gentlemen that came to do the work have a work ethic (getting harder to find in people nowadays), they showed up on time, didn't mind me asking questions here and there and wanted the installation to be and look the best. I highly recommend Rick and his company, he uses the same crews on all projects. Here are some before and after pictures.

He…read morehired subcontractors to tarp my property and they trespassed my property when I wasn't there despite making it clear that I need to be there and let them in. I scheduled their visit for 9am but they jumped over my fences around 8am. They proceeded with the tarp and severely damaged my sidings/window frames and hammered large nails all over my deck which seemed to be an experiment because they weren't sure if those nails would work on vinyl siding. The two man were also coming in and out of my kitchen door (connected to deck) inside the house to see if my windows were covered or not WITHOUT knocking/permission. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Pricing - the owner said it'll be a few hundred when HE STOPPED BY in person after evaluating the house but hit us with a bill that was over a thousand dollars. This quote was for urgent service however, he tried billing us much more. Inconsistency occurred throughout the interaction. PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire someone else. I informed that he'll be paid once insurance pays or he can directly claim with insurance, which he agreed however he is now threatening to put a lien on the house. AVOID Rick and this company at all cost.

The morning of Brian sent a text confirming the time. I say "Yes". He replied "Ok, see you soon". 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, no Brian. I messaged to ask if he was still coming. He replied "I was unsure if today seemed like a good time for you. I didn't have chance to speak to you before. There was a lack of communication. But I would love to get you scheduled for a quote and speak with you about your project". Like, what? I replied that I had JUST confirmed 45 minutes ago and that he said "Ok, see you soon". Of course, he hasn't replied. That being said, of course I won't be scheduling a quote or using them. Very weird and poor customer service.

I have been renovating our house that was built in 1950's and I am nearly finished. I previously…read morehired All Renovations to update my two upstairs bathrooms with the 1950's tile where they did a superb job. Additionally, All Renovations also built a front door portico addition and a detached two-car garage. Now that I am working on the basement, I decided to go with All Renovations again to update the basement bathroom; and again I am very happy with the results. The basement bathroom was in the laundry room with a washer, dryer, cabinets and a water softener system making it a tight squeeze for the space. Upon viewing the construction options with Adrian of All Renovations, he thought of moving the water softener system to an adjacent hallway closet. This allowed dividing the space into a separate bath with a nearly 3' x 6' shower while maintaining a full laundry room with a utility sink as well. Adrian with his "can do" attitude was a real champ at getting the work done. He also is very detailed with his work and makes sure things are completed correctly - a true compliment to the All Renovations team. If you are considering hiring professionals for your home improvement project, you won't go wrong with All Renovations. I am very pleased their work and I recommend them with full confidence.

I'm a bit puzzled by the owner's response as they should be able to see from their own email system…read morethat they had not replied to my last email. Since that email contained critical conditions for repair (see review above), the lack of a reply made it unclear that repairs would be made at all. However, since my review, they reached out directly, gave an explanation for the delay and told me that I had been in the queue for repairs. Unfortunately, since it had already been months since the project finished and I had not received a reply to my last email, I had already begun to handle the warranty issues myself. I appreciated their subsequent offer to reimburse me for my time and effort on warranty repairs and their statement of intention to address the additional claims (which they said that they had not addressed until now as they had hoped to handle them at the same time as the warranty issues). The star rating in this case is for their improved customer service, but the original review for the work on the project remains unchanged. [I also want to address the implication in the owner's response, which is that posting a negative review is only used for dispute resolution. I was not using it for that purpose, as should be evident from the fact that I had moved ahead with repairs, nor do I think that that's a good reason for a review. Sharing experiences is how people learn, and detailed reviews can be useful for homeowners in preparing for home repairs, whether or not they use the reviewed provider. The more information provided, the easier it is to assess a review's value and apply it to one's own situations if useful. ]
