My basement flooded from a sewer backup. Insurance covered everything needed to get my boiler back…read moreup and running, including replacing it. Stratz assessed the situation. Water heater had to be replaced and the boiler could be rebuilt. Then I was told I would need a $1100 part that they deemed would not be covered by insurance because it sat high up from the water. So I asked the tech, " You are saying my boiler broke the day of the flood?" and he said "Well, yes...it sounds odd..by yeah". I told him that was ludicrous. Startz had been out 4 weeks before and said my boiler was fine. I live alone and at 70 years old, $1100 is a lot for something insurance would have paid for. So, they put the brand new part on my boiler and still it did not function. They then charge me $600 to unclog a pipe. I was told..." Yes, that is quite a coincidence your backflow part stopped working the day of the flood." . They called yesterday asking where their $1100.00 is. I am an honest person. I have good credit. I pay my bills. I am brokenhearted to be treated this way. I got a bill in the mail from them today...not a word of explanation to me. This is a horrible company.

I used Fullmer for my HVAC needs for 25+ years. I had two furnaces and air conditioning units…read moreinstalled during COVID. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Fullmer & Sons. Main furnace had an error code displaying, which could not be cleared. Code had appeared in the past due to a defective part. I called Fullmer and told them I had the same issue again. Furnace was still working so I was not a high priority. I waited months for a service call. The technician came, changed the filter, cleared the code, and said it was fixed. Code immediately reappeared. Waited months again for a technician to come back and look at it. They were there briefly, cleared the code, and said it was fixed. Code immediately reappeared. Waited months again for the technician to come back. This time the furnace was struggling to keep the house warm, and the gas fireplace had to be on to keep the house comfortable. Fullmer technician cleared the code once, declared it fixed and left. The code immediately reappeared and at this point the furnace was no longer keeping the house warm. An emergency visit by another company, and legitimate search for the problem, discovered the same faulty part as before. Three visits, months of waiting, problem not solved. Not even a legitimate effort made to find and fix the problem. The Fullmer staff needs more training and/or more supervision and the owner was not responsive to the problem.

Based on what occurred, I would not recommend this company. Our furnace was installed approximately…read moretwo years ago, and both the previous homeowners and the original installer confirmed it was new at the time of installation. During a recent service visit, Michael told us there was a "massive leak," that the system was "super f**ked," and that it could not hold pressure. He also stated there was refrigerant "everywhere" and pressured us to make an immediate decision regarding replacement. We chose not to proceed and instead sought a second opinion. After locating our warranty documentation, we contacted the original installer, who performed a pressure test. The system held at 300 psi for three days--directly contradicting Michael's claim that it could not maintain pressure for even 10 minutes. We reported this discrepancy to the company, and a supervisor was sent to reassess the situation. The supervisor confirmed that the system had indeed held at 300 psi for three days. While the initial cause of the refrigerant loss is still unknown, it was clearly not due to a "massive leak," nor was the system "super f**ked," as we were originally told. Peak has since come back and ran ANOTHER pressure test, at 491psi. It held for four days, yet again supporting that there is no leak. We are very glad we sought a second opinion before proceeding with the recommended $7,000 replacement. I would not trust this company
