Water heater had to be replaced and the boiler could be rebuilt. Then I was told I would need a $1100 part that they deemed would not be covered by insurance because it sat high up from the water. So I asked the tech, " You are saying my boiler broke the day of the flood?" and he said "Well, yes...it sounds odd..by yeah". I told him that was ludicrous. Startz had been out 4 weeks before and said my boiler was fine. I live alone and at 70 years old, $1100 is a lot for something insurance would have paid for. So, they put the brand new part on my boiler and still it did not function. They then charge me $600 to unclog a pipe. I was told..." Yes, that is quite a coincidence your backflow part stopped working the day of the flood." . They called yesterday asking where their $1100.00 is. I am an honest person. I have good credit. I pay my bills. I am brokenhearted to be treated this way. I got a bill in the mail from them today...not a word of explanation to me. This is a horrible company.

I used Fullmer for my HVAC needs for 25+ years. I had two furnaces and air conditioning units…read moreinstalled during COVID. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Fullmer & Sons. Main furnace had an error code displaying, which could not be cleared. Code had appeared in the past due to a defective part. I called Fullmer and told them I had the same issue again. Furnace was still working so I was not a high priority. I waited months for a service call. The technician came, changed the filter, cleared the code, and said it was fixed. Code immediately reappeared. Waited months again for a technician to come back and look at it. They were there briefly, cleared the code, and said it was fixed. Code immediately reappeared. Waited months again for the technician to come back. This time the furnace was struggling to keep the house warm, and the gas fireplace had to be on to keep the house comfortable. Fullmer technician cleared the code once, declared it fixed and left. The code immediately reappeared and at this point the furnace was no longer keeping the house warm. An emergency visit by another company, and legitimate search for the problem, discovered the same faulty part as before. Three visits, months of waiting, problem not solved. Not even a legitimate effort made to find and fix the problem. The Fullmer staff needs more training and/or more supervision and the owner was not responsive to the problem.

My husband stopped by their office one afternoon on his way home from work. The receptionist told him that the owner is the one who does the quotes and he's only there in the mornings but said she'd give him our info. and have him call us. That was about a month ago, not a peep. Anyone who has ever had a water heater installed knows that the majority of plumbers charge a flat fee for their labor charge rather than their normal hourly rate, and it's a ridiculously excessive amount for a just a couple hours work, around $1000-1200 on all of the quotes we were given. So after the company pays their technician for the two hours of work, the rest of that $1000-1200 is pure profit in the company's pocket. Apparently B&B has so much work that they can afford to turn down a fast & easy $1000 profit. Good for them, I guess, but maybe then it's time to remove the "aw shucks" story about their humble beginnings, the company's growth and how committed they are still to this day, despite their huge success, to providing potential clients a "superior level of skill, craftsmanship, technical ability and communication". Clearly, that statement is no longer accurate if they don't even have the professionalism or common courtesy to give a quick call just to say that they appreciate the inquiry but are currently so busy they can't help us out at this time. First impressions are critical and because of this experience we will never consider them again for anything. Good old Godwin Plumbing took care of us and in only four days' time from first point of contact to completion of the job.

I wish I could give them ZERO stars. I purchased their top of the line heat pump last year to…read morereplace an aging furnace. While the salesman was wonderful, unfortunately, the company itself does not follow through. Besides taking a ridiculous amount of time to complete the work (they needed to be brought back several times to resolve multiple issues with their install), the system is not cooling during the first heat wave of the year. When I contacted them for service, the AI that answers the phone told me that an appointment was scheduled and a technician would call me to let me know when. Recognizing that they were of course very busy during the heat wave, I waited five hours before calling to ask if someone would still be coming. The man who answered the phone informed me that the AI is only speaking off a script and has no ability to schedule appointments or even contact a human. (This seems like a pretty useless answering system if you want to actually help your customers.) In any case, I was rather curtly informed that I was not the only customer in need of service during the heat wave, and I would have to wait another day before someone could be here. Overall, I recommend going somewhere other than Peak for your heating and cooling needs.

Im sorry, but I can't justify signing on to a plan that I can get for 10k cheaper. Considering I…read morecan get the same products from a small local hvac business, it's hard to feel good about going with Peak. It feels a lot like this is a situation where a company is taking advantage of people that have little to no other option. Not you or your staff, but the company. It's amazing that I can get a comparable service for 10k less. Especially when you take into consideration that your deal is marketed as a buy one get one. The guys that came out yesterday were great. I did notice some moves/tactics that felt a lot like I was being sold a car, but I imagine those can be used interchangeably when dealing with someone in need. Car or furnace, most people aren't in that purchase seat until it's a need, at that point your customer is in a situation that is easily capitalized, or preyed upon. So I'll say shame on Peak, but I need to say that everyone I've dealt with has been nothing but professional, courteous, and accommodating. My only wish is the pricing packages, in comparison to a small local business, didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of in the moments that my family and home is chilly and turned to Peak for a solution but was sadly met with pricing packages that would force a customer to pay over double the cost of other packages. Perhaps this is an isolated occurrence based on the weather and opportunity, or perhaps it is the method of operations, I'm not sure and I'm not going to make a claim based on my experience alone.
