Eat'n Park, a Pittsburgh staple. I have been to one other Eat'n park back in 2019 when we first moved to Pittsburgh and to be honest didn't really feel the need to go back. My husbands grandparents are from here and they eat here nearly once a week. We decided to go with them recently to spend time with them. I got a burger that was super greasy and a little gristly as well. Nothing about it was remarkable. I enjoyed the fries! I went home with some pretty good heartburn. My kids of course got the smiley waffles and for them this was an A+ experience. They are 5 and 3. They ate well and were happy and still talk about going to dinner here and wanting to go back. They enjoyed their smiley cookies as well, but not anything special to me. The restaurant was clean, the service was fairly fast, and we enjoyed the company. To me, you don't go to Eat'n Park for good food. You go to spend time with your grandparents (who think the food is aaaaamazing. The elderly seem to love it), because you're new to Pittsburgh, or because your kids convince you to go. You go because it's inexpensive to feed a family. There's nothing inherently bad about Eat'n Park, which is why I gave it 4 stars, I just don't have a strong desire to come back.

I am originally from the burgh and I visit the city as much as possible. Eat'n Park is always a go to when I am there. My adult kids have loved it since they were little and we've never had a bad experience there. The service is always very friendly and the food is top notch! It is a well deserved Pittsburgh tradition. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, you can't go wrong with Eat'n Park!

Your typical Eat'n Park! I'm always happy with my meals here, it's been a few years since I've visited this location, so I was happy to see the quality was still good! Our waitress was nice, attentive & quick. The wait for food was short. The restaurant seemed clean and not overly loud.

This is my first official experience at this famous chain even though I've lived in Pittsburgh part time off and on for YEARS. Prior to yesterday I've only been in with friends and only had coffee and pie other than a sample bite here or there from their plates. This was my first time ordering a meal, trying the salad bar, and trying their famous cookies. I'm pleasantly surprised! I think I'm officially an honorary Yinza now! As a tried and true western NYer I'll give my stamp of approval for the Buffalo sauce and ranch in exchange.

We planned a breakfast at Kelly O's to satisfy our annual eggs Benedict craving. Apparently many others had the same craving, since Kelly O's was overwhelmed with customers. Unwilling to wait an hour for a table we were forced to go to Eat N Park. They also had eggs Benedict on the menu, but they were a major disappointment, with a thin, tasteless sauce covered with paprika. The breakfast potatoes, small cubes with a mysterious seasoning, were also off-puting. In Ireland they call this 'bare food'. On the positive side, the restaurant is bright and clean and the service was prompt. Prices are low. When we return it will be for a simple eggs and bacon meal.

Very good service and food. The salad bar was up to par as well. I definitely recommend. Not a fan of the fish but everything else was good.

I don't know why anyone comes here. The menu is terrible. It smells and it's dirty. One star because it's cheap and service is decent.

Once inside the restaurant, I asked an employee about their parking, and she replied that customers may park also on the street or even across the street at the Subway restaurant (which is temporarily closed and used to open later in the day). Dominic's Diner serves breakfast and lunch on most days of the week. Be sure to look up their current hours before you drive there. Examples of their foods are eggs, bacon, ham, pancakes, French toast, omelettes, oatmeal, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and onion rings. Please see my attached photos for the full menus in October 2023. As soon as my husband and I entered the restaurant, we saw a sign that said to wait to be seated, but an employee soon told us that we could choose our table. We sat at a four-seat table near the window. After a few minutes, our waitress introduced herself and gave us menus. Throughout the service, she smiled and made courteous conversation. She promptly took our orders and brought out our beverages and foods. My husband felt impressed that this restaurant offers both Coke and Pepsi products. Here are my reviews for our foods: French toast with bacon - $13.25 - 4.5 stars - I received three slices of French toast, which were fresh and wonderfully sweet, and three slices of bacon, which were meaty, crispy, and satisfyingly salty. Cheese omelette with ham - $12.25 + $3 - 4 stars - My husband said that this omelette was a very large size and that the taste was good. On the side were home fries, which were cubes of potato that tasted very good, and toast, which was toasted well. We paid for our meal up front. The cashier used a swivel touch-pad for a cash register. As we were leaving, another employee thanked us and said goodbye.

Me and my family visited one afternoon and were blown away by our meal, the friendly waitress, and the charming retro interior here. The space is small, but it only adds to the charm. The first thing that caught my eye was the checkered flooring and all of the wall decor. This diner was everything I expected from a diner. I ordered a french onion soup with a swiss mushroom burger. They seem to have many soup options, im assuming they change the soups depending on the day. My father ordered pancakes that were larger than his head! But honestly, my favorite thing I ordered must have been their iced tea. Something about it was just so refreshing, I made sure to gulp all of it down before we left. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.
