Eat'n Park offers all-day breakfast, which includes foods such as pancakes, waffles, omelets, bacon, fried steak, ham, eggs benedict, wraps, oatmeal, sausage, home fries, fruit, etcetera. Its menu for lunch and dinner lists salads, soups, burgers, chicken sandwich, fried ravioli, veggie wrap, turkey club, baked cod, meatloaf, spaghetti, etcetera. This restaurant is known also for their buffet, pies and Smiley cookies from their bakery, and beverages such as milkshakes. My husband and I ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning. We easily found a parking spot in the lot. We waited a couple of minutes for the seating hostess to seat us at a table. Then we waited many minutes for our waitress to take our order for drinks and foods. The waitress did not bring out our foods until 40 minutes into our visit! I saw a sign that the restaurant was hiring employees, and I assume that we had long waits because of understaffing. Here are my reviews for our foods: Strawberry waffle with bacon and eggs - 5 stars - The waffle was a good size and was topped with fresh strawberries and lots of whipped cream. On the side were crispy bacon and eggs that were cooked sunny-side-up as I had requested. Ham and cheese omelette with turkey sausage, potato pancakes, and toast - 5 stars - My husband ate this entree, and he enjoyed it. Our bill was $31 plus a tip. If you love salt, this will definitely be a winner for you. For the side I got the--- BROCCOLI SOUP: Which I found delicious. I usually like it a little bit thicker, but enjoyed the lightness of it. It allowed me to save room for dessert!!! TURKEY DINNER: My partner found it delicious. It is his favorite when we come to visit here. He was really excited to see it on the menu. For a side he got the carrots...however, the carrots tasted oddly rubbery and taste-less. We wouldn't recommend you getting them. COFFEE: We were 50/50 on it. He said it tasted burnt but I thought it was delicious. I think we just had 2 different pots of coffee. If yours taste burnt just ask for a fresh pot, the server was more than accommodating. PUMPKIN PIE: To die for!!!!!! So sweet AND fresh! PUMPKIN MILKSHAKE: Just full of pumpkin goodness. I love it and still crave more. Definitely recommend this place. Walked into the restaurant approximately 645 on a Thursday evening was seated. Waited seven minutes other people around me were seated and had their order taken. No one came to me to take my order. This is actually three different restaurants and two of the last four times I ended up leaving because I waited so long for my food. It never arrived. One time I even asked for it to go and still did not get it. I dined here many times over the years, but I'm afraid that unless things improve greatly. I will no longer be a customer. read more

Today I ordered the cod meal with a side of chicken noodle soup and broccoli, along with a side of strawberry pie. The cod was tiny and soaking in butter. There was virtually no seasoning on the fish as well, and I had to make salmon myself tonight because the fish was so disappointing for almost $11. Broccoli was fine, I appreciate that they do not add oil (or at least not a lot of oil). Favorite part of my meal was chicken noodle soup, which was warm. It barely had any chicken or vegetables but the noodles were pretty thick, which I like. I came to this Eat N Park to try their strawberry pie, and I was very disappointed in it. Tasted like it was stale and was about 50% whipped cream. Really would recommend staying away from the food I ordered. read more

I don't really review chain places unless I'm extremely unimpressed or extremely impressed. This ENP is great! We typically order late take-out once a month and the employees are always so friendly and sweet! Everything is packed neat and they always offer our pups some treats! The restaurant manager at the Shaler Township location on (Thursday, March 25, 2021) was completely out of line with the conversation he was having with a patron sitting behind me in the booth. He was loudly voicing his political opinions as to why he could not find good help to work in the restaurant. He stated that "people are laying around the house collecting a lot of money in unemployment, receiving stimulus checks and therefore, do not want to work and why should they". I was completely offended by this as my own Corporate job was eliminated last year due to the pandemic. I spend every day/all day searching and applying for new positions, and it has been a long, very depressing and discouraging process. Unemployment (which I have been paying in to for the past 40+ years of employment) only provides me with a small amount of income, so it has been a hardship for me. Thankfully after several months of actively searching and interviewing for positions, I received a formal job offer from a company on this same day. I do not go to a restaurant to hear the manager complaining and voicing his political opinions to the customers. I'm sure he too has received the stimulus checks that were pushed out to all, and he has a full-time job. I am also sending this review to the Eat'n Park Corporate Executive Team - hopefully they will address this issue and stop this poor and unprofessional behavior from taking place going forward. This incident has been a very poor and unnecessary reflection on Eat'n Park's behalf. read more

Eat n park has always been a place to go to grab a bite to eat. And no matter which one you go to it seems that the quaility of food is pretty consistent. The food was good which it always is but the reason i gave this Eat n Park 5 stars is because of service. From the moment we walked in to the hostesses that greeted us and our waitress who was awesome. Without getting descriptive i had an incident with my boy today. Lets just say his food didnt sit to well and the manager and waitress were very helpful and caring. And for that i thank them. I will definetly be back to this eat n park and recommend it to anyone read more

If you're into microwaved mediocre "American food" this is your spot. You can get better chicken tenders at most bowling alleys. I struggled to eat about 40% of my meal. Only because I was starving and it was 11pm. The chicken tenders were about 20% chicken filler and 80% hard breading with a dark color that was probably caused by old oil and the taste was as bad as it looked. The most disappointing part of this experience was the pie, which I originally went there for. It looked as if the waitress threw the pie against the wall and scooped it on a salad plate with a rake before she microwaved it for a minute too long. You're better off making a hungry man in the microwave then going to eat n park. Very very disappointing. They updated their menus and restaurants. I can not believe the awful experience we had at Eat n park on route 8 and Saxonburg today. First we wait 10 minutes at our table and My wife has to ask for a waitress and then my wife over hears the waitress (Amy)calling her a liar! We should have walked out then. But we ordered food and 30 minutes later still don't have it. Can't get coffee or water refill. The manager (Sam) was a joke. Eat 'n Park is a Pittsburgh staple. This location is open 24 hours - great for a late night stop coming home from the city. The food is pretty basic "diner" style food, nothing too bad, nothing too great. They have a pretty good breakfast menu, which is what I always go for. read more

I've had Sunday brunch here a few times with my friend and her son and we always have a good time. This location is clean, service is great. There is sometimes a wait but usually not more than a few minutes. The all you can eat brunch buffet has fried chicken and sides, eggs, French toast, soups and small salad bar. The bakery items are also pretty good. read more

On December 30th I took my aunt out for breakfast. When I got out of my car I dropped my wallet in the parking lot and didn't realize it. I took her home and left to return an hour to my home. When I got home I realized my wallet was gone and it could only have been left at the restaurant. My aunt called and they found it! Her son picked it up and met me to retrieve it. When I checked the wallet ALL of my credit cards, insurance cards, 30,000 in Japanese Yen, and over $500.00 in cash HAD NOT BEEN TOUCHED! My aunt's son (Hal) asked who turned it in so he could leave a reward, but they didn't know who it was. This place is the worst , third and last time here. I managed to get the same lousy waitress two out of three times. The other waitress while not as bad was still far from good. I came here because I like eat n park in general and this was on the way to my girls school I was hoping that I just caught them at bad times but after three in a row I would have to say finding a good time is as hard as finding the waitress. Generally speaking, the Eat'n Park chain restaurants are a Pittsburgh classic, serving reasonable food at a low cost. I have dined at a minimum of six or seven different locations in and around the city, all with their different strengths and weaknesses. This location in Shaler, however, has provided more unsatisfactory dining experiences than others recently. A specific occurrence was during a Sunday brunch in late December. I was a member of a part of six, which included my parents, sister, and two uncles. The restaurant's occupancy level was not at it's highest; rather, it was about three-quarters full - typical for this late-morning time on a Sunday. We were seated quickly by a young, polite hostess. From this point, though, not much positivity came from the staff. After waiting about five minutes to give our drink order and another five minutes to receive them, my family and I ordered. Half of us, including myself, got the buffet, while the others order regular breakfast dishes. The buffet has many items and normally is a safe choice. On this day, everything was extremely dried out due to (what I presume was) a lack of turnover during the morning. One would expect with the amount of patrons more food would be coming "fresh" from the kitchen, but dishes were often left between a quarter and half full, which often consisted of rather "old" (in terms of food life-time) food to be gathered by customers. The lowest point of the meal came when my mother received her omelet, which was in reality eggs combined with cheese and raw vegetables (peppers, onions, etc.) on top. The omelet should not have included cheese, and obviously the vegetables should have at least been cooked, if not actually put in the omelet in addition. She had waited so long that the three of us who ordered the buffet were already done eating, and therefore, remaking the omelet seemed unreasonable for our time frame. The waitress seemed a bit short-tempered, perhaps an acceptable attitude, to a degree, when they appeared slightly understaffed and the kitchen is not giving quality support with wrong orders. When dining at establishments such as Eat'n Park, my expectations are not the same as a fine dining restaurant on Mount Washington - nor should they be. Nonetheless, I believe reasonably fresh, timely, and correct orders should be expected anywhere you're paying for food. Although I have not returned to an Eat'n Park since this time, it has not been on purpose, as the majority of experiences have been good even at this location. The next time I am looking for affordable food, I may steer-clear of this specific location until the staff is better prepared. However, Eat'n Park will always be an option. read more

We had a bad experience at this Eat'n Park tonight; we won't be going back. We waited a few minutes to place our order and our drinks came out quickly, but the food never came. After an hour passed, my husband went to the front because we couldn't find our waitress and told them to cancel our order. A minute or so later the manger came by our table to tell us he took care of cancelling our order, REALLY??? What an awful manager; he didn't apologize for the inconvenience or try to explain what happened. Eat'n Park needs to train their employees better. read more
