You can find ready made cakes, a large variety of salt breads, pastries, cookies, and savory snacks. They also have a full coffee/matcha/tea menu as well. I ended up grabbing some custard bread and some salt breads. Everything tasted fresh, moist, cream was good, and not too sweet. I just love that they have a huge variety of everything and want to come back and try their berry cakes. Their matchas also looked good but I was just so full at the time. I cannot wait to be back to grab more items.

I had an hour to kill, so I planned to whip out a laptop and work with coffee. I had their Blueberry Latte, and it was very very sweet. The puree? I think I would've been satisfied with that in two or three drinks. The latte felt okay, though. In terms of working here, do yourself a favor and... don't. The tables are smaller than they appear, and the space is quite narrow as well. Once you find a spot, you'll also need to prepare for the next battle, music so loud that you won't be able to concentrate and focus. And of course, power outlets and Wi-Fi are not available here despite what the comments say. I later came back for some end-of-day discounted bread for salt bread. I can see the appeal of salt bread, but really they were bread willed with a variety of sweet filling - probably a not for me. I had also a banana walnut bread, and this was much heavier than I expected. This is one that could be split amongst 5 servings and be enough. It was on the crumbly end and fairly dry, so it did get stuck in the throat quite a bit.

The woman helping me asked whether I wanted a single or double. I wasn't sure and took a moment to look at the display and ask my friend. There was nobody else waiting behind us, but the employee immediately seemed impatient and kept pressing me: was I getting the macaron or not? Her tone felt unnecessarily rude and rushed, so finally I just said, "Never mind about the macaron," and ordered my iced tea and cheesecake. Then it was my friend's turn. She ordered macarons and an iced coffee and also asked for a glass of water. The employee told her they charge for water--and then said the water had to be paid for in cash. It's illegal to charge for water. My friend paid, but the whole interaction struck both of us as very strange. From beginning to end, this employee came across as impatient, unfriendly, and almost angry that we were there. We weren't demanding, the store wasn't busy, and we were paying customers buying several items. There was simply no reason for us to be treated that way. The unfortunate thing is that the food was actually good. I liked the cheesecake, my friend enjoyed her macarons, and my iced tea was fine. I would have happily returned based on the food alone. But customer service matters. I don't know whether this woman was an employee, manager, or owner, but if management is reading this, I hope they address the way customers are being treated. One employee's attitude can completely ruin what otherwise could have been a lovely experience.
