I really liked the selection of ornaments they had this year. Prices can be compatible with the other stores. They have really good sales around holidays or after holidays. Employees are usually nice and friendly. The only complaint I have is the long lines. No matter how many cashiers are working , there is always a long line. Parking can be really challenging during the weekends. Sometimes it is really hard to find a parking spot. It is better to park close to Burger King since that area usually is not that crowded.

There are lots of intricate things that are involved in getting coupons off of my phone and into the system and it is never something I can understand so every single time I have to wait for the one employee that is trying to help the six or seven self check out that people don't want in the first place and it's just becoming too much of a hassle. The staff are always friendly and helpful but they're just simply isn't enough of them. Every single time I go there I stand in line and I say that I want to wait for a human and I offer people behind me to go ahead of me to use the self check and none of them want to. They want the human interaction as well. I really think Michaels is taking a misstep with this direction especially if they are going to continue to have the coupons be so difficult to get off of your phone. I can get the paint cheaper to begin with off of Amazon but I enjoyed the human interaction. Every single time I have gone in recently I have to wait between 10 and 15 minutes to wait for the one employee that is overwhelmed with having to help every single person at every single self check. And this is 10 or 15 minutes waiting if you are at the front of the line. This has been more than one location as well. This is the same for The Studio City location and the one in Encino. He said he's descended from Spanish and Italian, so his last name is Tigere, means Tiger. He's really friendly and chatty about the over 100 countries he's been to, the culture and the conversation spans to rocks of all forms including dinosaurs poops and crocodile teeth. It was very interesting and time flies talking to him. The rocks in the store prices 30,40,50+ bucks but there's no pressure from buying. The store covers old comics to rocks of all forms to small cultural artifacts of all kinds. It's worth spending time there but I felt like without Mr Tiger telling you the stories and explanations, it's a lot less interesting. He said he's there into the nights, so the ideal time to visit is probably late afternoon into the evening.
