He had decided he wanted to send Illume Candle gift baskets, but Illume no longer sells to the public. So it was Star Treatment to the rescue! They not only put the perfect candle baskets together (taking out any scents the recipients didn't like), they also shipped it ASAP, getting them both there on time. Another great thing about Star Treatment is that they don't rip you off on shipping. I gave them our FedEx account # and they shipped using our account. Find another gift service that will do this, and I'll be amazed. Just terrible! I ordered a high end gift basket that needed to be at my company's VIP client the next day. I placed the order at 12:30pm with overnight delivery. As this was the first time I had ordered from Star Treatment, I called at 5:00pm to get the tracking number since I had not heard from them. I spoke with Diane and when I called to ask about the tracking, she told me that the order hadn't gone out and that it would go out tomorrow. I told her that it needed to BE at my client's office tomorrow and she just kind of paused and I had to say "what are you going to do to fix this". No apologies, no urgency, no concern. Her solution was to call the Four Seasons in Las Vegas and have them put a basket together. Now, they DID have a basket to my client the next day by noon (which wouldn't have happened if I hadn't called the night before), but the basket delivered was nowhere near what was in the picture and what we paid $215 for. When I contact Diane again to let her know, she said that she had done the best she could under the circumstances and completely ignored my request to credit the difference in the baskets. My boss saw the basket and said it was pretty cheap looking and we were very disappointed in what we paid for. Never again! read more

Well, it all seemed great before the job was done. I am quite surprised and I'm also dumbfounded as to the unprofessionalism of Diane the owner. What a nice person she could be over the telephone and I told her what I wanted, she did not tell me it was impossible and would not give me a quote. She sent a beautiful photograph as to what my party favors would look like and I said please, go ahead. Unfortunately, only the prototype in the photographs looked like that. I see two dollar signs and assumed that 30 party favors would cost somewhere between $100 - $200. Wrong. It ended up being more than $300 and had known that upfront I would've done it myself. I was pleased to hand the job off to her hoping that it would be done perfectly and I would be proud for my father's 90th birthday. This is not what happened. I got to the affair, unpacked the party favors and all of the ribbons and charms had fallen off, but two. i.e. 28 fell apart. I was scrambling 10 minutes before my party To correct how messy and unfinished they appeared. Basically it looked like I came unprepared to the party and hadn't finished doing my favors. I sent a text to Diane right that moment and never did receive the common courtesy of a response. Therefore, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this service, it was overpriced and it all fell apart on the day when I unpacked. She still has yet to respond to my text and I have not heard a word since, but she did have the time the day she received my check to take it into the bank and cash it. Priorities I suppose. I DO NOT recommend, and I do not appreciate being taken advantage of and not even being told that she was AT LEAST sorry for any inconvenience this caused me. Unacceptable. read more
