I cannot say enough good things about my moving experience yesterday with Easy Movers. From the first time I spoke with the owner, Don, down to when the truck pulled away after unloading at our new home, the entire process was seamless. The driver Hector, and his crew including Savon, AD, and Bogt (sp?), were pleasant, respectful and hard working. They lovingly wrapped each piece of furniture, careful to take apart recliners and leather sofa backs, wrap them in pads and plastic and gently load them on the truck. They were efficient and worked well together, each man with his own task, but working together as needed. They were respectful of our belongings and handled them with care. At both houses, they covered the hardwood floors with roll out pads and even used them to protect the stairs. They moved everything I asked them to, double checking at the end to make sure I was satisfied and they didn't miss anything. WHATA NIGHTMARE!!! I hired Easy Movers, Inc. for my recent local relocation. The service I received was unprofessional and resulted in significant damage to my property due to the negligence and lack of experience demonstrated by the three-person crew. Despite a short five-minute drive between locations, the moving truck took 30 minutes to arrive. Upon inspecting my belongings, I discovered that my items had not been properly padded or secured during transport. Specifically, the dining room table base has substantial holes on two sides. Additionally, a wood sofa table fell apart during the move. It appeared that an unsuccessful and undisclosed attempt was made to repair the table before I saw it, which I find purposefully deceitful. The crew failed to disclose any of this damage until I pointed it out myself. Furthermore, I was disappointed that the crew attempted to take the 65-inch TV box, for which I specifically paid $125.00. My husband and I recently moved from Charlotte to Pittsboro and Easy Movers made the whole process very...well, easy! And for a good price. When I was researching movers, I called and spoke with Gena and possibly one other representative. They answered all my questions and were clear about their services. We decided to use them after researching 7 or 8 other moving companies (some local and a couple big name companies), and Easy Movers seemed like the best deal. They sent a representative to our apartment at our request to ensure an accurate estimate. The total price was slightly more than the estimate, but nothing out of the ordinary. The only snafu we ran into was--and I could have misheard--we were unable to use a check to pay as we had planned and had to use our credit card. I had made a note that Easy Movers would accept a personal check as payment. However on the day of the move, I was informed they would only accept a cashier's check, cash, or credit card. As with most of the moving companies I looked into, there is a processing fee to use a credit card. So that was an added cost we did not expect. Again, it's possible I made an error in note-taking, but just be aware you would not be able to use a personal check for a long-distance move. The movers themselves worked tirelessly. We had three men (Roy, Mike, and Luis) and they worked from around 9am to 7:30pm. They were hardworking and had great attitudes, and they took excellent care of our belongings. No damages whatsoever. movers beware!!! not only did these guys miss the 3 hr window they promised me, they had to reschedule for another day which pushed my renovations timeline back. on top of that they showed up with an attitude. the first things they told me was all the things they do not move. then, didnt tell me i had to disassemble my own sleep number bed which took even more time as i just had a recent bk surgery. Rory didnt seem to care. they failed to wrap all my TVs and left bookshelves and broke my daughters dresser. i did not feel like a valued customer and did not have them finish the job. to top all that off they charged me more than they quoted. i was furious and called another moving company to finish the job. read more

These guys are great! We had to do a one day move, pack up and unload at a distance of about two hours from location to location. We used two trucks and eight men, and they were also very careful and considerate of both homes. There was no damage in either home from the moving, and no damage to our furniture or packaged goods. Only because zero isn't an option. The two guys who arrived were nice enough, but were ill prepared for my move. They were late arriving, they were to have brought a box for my 75" tv but didn't, their hand truck wasn't in working order. I'd been sent numerous photos of furniture wrapped in plastic and blankets-- asked specifically if I needed to do that as part of my packing, "no, that's part of the service". None of that happened. The movers knew none of the details I'd provided to persons via email and text. The slow moving guys took forever to move mey stuff from one apt to another apt and the actual cost was more than double the high end of the estimate. would never use and would never recommend. communication was poor... I literally expected them to cancel on me day of due to such poor communication. Definitely a bottom rung experience. We had a fairly small move locally. Initially we spoke with someone and gave us a quote immediately. A few days later we someone came to our place to see what it would take for us to move in order to get a better estimate. In addition, they were able to schedule me in the timeframe that I was hoping to get in a short notice. There was an issue with billing but Gena took care of it, called me and worked with me to make up for the issue. The movers were very friendly and helpful! I was present during the entire move except when they finished after 9pm on the second day because I was told they would be done sooner than that, and I already had tickets to take my children to an event in Charlotte that evening. I can relate to some of the other one star reviews. I will not call Easy Movers ever again. I have moved several times over the years from a 1 BR apartment and other movers usually take about 3-3.5 hours to show up, pack up, drive and unload. It took Easy Movers 6 hours to do all this and they had 4 movers show up. I had the same amount of furniture and stuff as in the past moves. Only one of the movers actually did most of the work, I am not sure what happened to the other three, I didn't see them much. Then they charged me about $200 over the estimate once they finally got me moved in at the new place. I couldn't wait for them to leave, it took forever for this move to be over with. Don't schedule a move with Easy Movers if you need them to actually show up on the date and time that has been planned and scheduled for weeks in advance. One of the worst customer service experiences I have EVER had. Not only did they NOT show up, but they couldn't even be bothered to let me know. Myself, my wife, and two kids are standing around and waiting in a house that is COMPLETELY packed up and ready for movers but the movers are no where to be found. I finally decide to call to check on the status and they transfer me around to four different people before someone can finally give me an excuse... and it's a great one: "no one showed up for work today." Trying to sell the home, I used Easy Movers twice within a two month time frame. First time to move a few basic things to be able to leave most of the home with furniture so it would not look like a "Ghost Town". Then, approximately a month & half later, I used them to move the rest of the furniture and my belongings. Back in mid-September 2017 I was frantically trying to find a place to move into after being evicted. I literally signed a new lease on a Friday to an apartment I didn't even get a chance to look at because it was being bug-bombed! I called several movers, and Easy Movers were the only ones to get back to me. As I am disabled and had literally no friends or family in the area to help me mover, I was desperate. A man (Darian?) came out on Sunday and gave me an estimate of just under $800 to move 3/5's of a mile within the same town. Ouch, but, again, I had very little choice. The movers arrived Monday morning and IMMEDIATELY told me the estimate I had been given was way off. They got to work, but then I had to leave for a little while (half hour, tops) to get my electricity turned on in the new apartment. I got back and supervised as much as I could. Once all furniture was removed, I couldn't go back inside because there was nowhere for me to sit down. I asked several times if they were sure they got everything, and the garbage taken to the dumpster. I was told yes. So, we proceeded to my new apartment. Things were brought in and placed where I indicated. Then, since I had no washer/dryer hookup in my new place, we took those appliances to my storage unit. Once that was done, everything was totalled and . . . last just say I audibly gasped when I was told it was close to $1700! The next day, I drove back to my old place to drop off the key and sign off on the final inspection. That's when I learned that all of the garbage bags had been left inside, the contents of an entire closet had been left behind (mind you, it was all already boxed up), and the contents of my refrigerator had not been placed in the cooler I had indicated. (I had planned on removing it from the cooler that I had THOUGHT it was inside when I got home, as it was mostly condiments like ketchup, mustard, etc.) Fortunately, my former maintenance man helped me load up my car and remove the bags of trash. When I got home and started to unpack, I discovered that many boxes hadn't been labeled, and that a few of the ones that were had been mislabeled. Boxes marked "bathroom" contained clothes. Boxes marked "bedroom" had kitchen utensils! I didn't find any of my toiletries for three days. When I finally got around to it and completed their customer satisfaction survey, I went into all of this. I got a call about two weeks later from the secretary (I believe that's who she said she was). We went through my issues, and she apologized. She said that crew would be TALKED WITH. Yes, "talked with"! Okay, fine. And, you "apologized." Sure. But, I still wouldn't recommend you to anyone, based on my experience with you. I'll certainly never use your company again. read more

However, when it came time to select a moving company to transport the family goods from Charlotte to Chicago, Easy Movers was a fine choice overall. Since hubs did the front end work of setting up and negotiating with the administrative folks, the only piece I can really comment on is that they stay true to their word. This was the best moving experience I ever had, and I move a lot for work, so that's saying a lot! I was 30 minutes late for my appointment, but they were very gracious and waited for me. I used Easy Movers for my move from Charlotte NC to Atlanta GA. I contacted Don Reid at Easy Movers and he was very help and patient to all the questions that I had. The move was very smooth and I was very satisfied with everything. I moved a two bed apartment, packed about 20 boxes. It took the two movers about 2 hours to load everything on the truck and 2 hours to unload everything to my new home. The movers called before they got to my home both times and they were very punctual on the set schedule. They packed everything very carefully. For my couch, cabinet and tables, they have packed multiple layers to protect them. None of my furniture or boxes got broken during the move. I was provided with two options in terms of estimate my total payment: 1. Provide an inventory list and receive an estimate. This estimate will be adjusted based on the final weight of all my stuff, which they will weigh on the pick-up date; 2. One moving staff (Glen, he was super friendly) comes to my home and takes a look at my stuff and give a set price (which will not change, this is a binding price), and my stuff will not be weighed on pick-up date. I selected the latter so there would be no surprise on my final price. Don was very easy to work with. And during the whole process he checked up on me for several times. I hired Easy Movers to unload a 28' ABF U-Pack trailer that was filled to the brim. Scheduling the move was easy, and the employee in their main office was very helpful and professional. On moving day, the crew arrived approximately 30 minutes after the arrival window, which is the only reason why I took off one star. Once Marcus and his crew arrived, Marcus walked me through some basic paperwork. I really appreciated how Easy Movers document the start and stop times and have the customer initial to confirm their accuracy. Once this was done, the crew got right to work. There were four guys on the crew, and they were all very friendly, careful with my belongings, and efficient. If they had a question about where something went, they were sure to ask. They are very capable movers as well, and they handled my larger furniture with ease. It took them just two hours to unload the trailer. Impressive! If I ever need help moving in the Charlotte area again, I won't hesitate to hire Easy Movers. They are a great alternative to the larger, non-local moving companies in the area. read more

I used EasyMover twice, first to move into a two bedroom apartment. I had just sold my house and the majority of my furniture was moved into storage therefore the Easymovers only had 2 bedrooms with beds only and one had a dresser. Two piece of sofa, 2 large TVs and boxes. It cost me right around $500. I called them again to move the same furniture from my apartment now to my new home which was only 3 miles away. The crew they sent spent more time outside smoking, talking on their phone and LONG breaks. By the way it was THREE MOVERS. I should have known I was about to get ripped off on that alone because the price increased! The move should have been right at 3 hours but instead it took them SIX HOURS! I called serval times to report what was was going on and FINALLY a guy by the name of RORY returned my call and ensured me it will be taken cared of but instead they took $863 dollars out of my bank account!!!!! I've used easy movers three times. My first experience was great but the quality has gone down. For both moves this year there was a general lack of care around my items . Basic instructions weren't followed . The last encounter was especially concerning bc one of the movers was visibly and verbally angry bc I had " too much stuff to move". There were lots of eye rolls and snide comments when I asked for items to be placed in certain places and to top it off he helped himself to my food, left trash in my garage and then proceeded to clean up at my kitchen sink leaving water everywhere. Moving is stressful enough already, don't add to it by hiring Easy Movers. Fair warning: this is going to be a long review because it was an excruciatingly long move. My husband and I hired Easy Movers after another company lost our reservation. Granted we hired them one day before the move, but now I know why they were still available in the first place. After giving the representative on the phone the list of items we wanted moved (in town), she quoted us 4 hours. We initially only wanted 2 movers, but went with 3 after she recommended we add a man to ensure we'd have everything done within the estimated time. T The movers showed up on time and that's where the positive experience ended. About an hour into the move, my husband and I got distracted and stopped actively managing the move after our cat got out of the house. Two hours later, when we realized we were one hour from our total estimated time, we realized the house had been barely touched. Apparently they had been "wrapping" everything but hadn't actually moved anything (to their credit, all of our box springs had been individually quadruple wrapped - thorough, but a complete waste of our time and money). Our fault for not micromanaging them from the beginning. When they did start moving things, it was like an unfunny Three Stooges skit. The lead mover (the Moe character), was the only one that displayed an ounce of professionalism. The other two cursed at each other as they ran our furniture into our walls, floors and each other. You expect professional movers to be accustomed to navigating large furniture through doorways and tight spaces. Not these guys - it was as if this was their first time doing this. At one point, one of the movers asked me for some Triscuits as a snack, which I admittedly didn't have a problem with at the time and said he could help himself to some of the Rice Krispies Treats too. What I did have a problem with was him leaving the wrappers from those snacks all over our house. We could have gotten movers with their level of professionalism and skill from Craigslist. 5 hours into the move, we finally got on the road to our new house. On the way over, I alerted the Easy Mover management to our issues and when I asked to speak with Don, the owner, I got Darian, the Operations Manager. Darian wound up coming over to the new house (about 7 hours in to the move at this point) and basically said it was on us because the contract we signed said the original estimate was just an estimate and the original estimate had been off. I understand that sometimes things take longer than expected, but the move wound up taking 8 HOURS - twice what we originally expected and had budgeted for. Darian took off an hour and a half from our total bill, which he found fair and we found to be bare minimum given the lack of speed, moving proficiency and professionalism from his team. I explained this to him in person and he again reiterated that the issue was the original estimate, not the overall experience, and legally it was on us to cover the bill, so he was doing us a favor by taking any time off at all. On this, I'll agree with him. It was on us for ever trusting Easy Movers to do a good job. It was on us for taking a gamble with our move and expecting them to be a professional organization. It was on us for assuming they were concerned for their customer's budget and moving experience. I would advise others who are considering Easy Movers to take Darian's feedback to heart and save yourself a lot of hassle by never choosing Easy Movers in the first place. read more

Great company... these are the people you want to deal with in an industry that's rife with questionable companies. Easy Movers held true to their estimates, sent polite, considerate and hard working men, and flat out did a great from beginning to end. They were flexible when it was apparent we could reduce the size of the crew working when moving out and flexible when I had to push my move date back three days. A few days after our last move was complete, my wife noticed a minor but noticeable scratch on an armoire (the only damage we saw out of two truck loads of stuff). When I contacted Easy Movers I was not hit with the "sorry, you already signed the papers" like I got from Ballantyne and Beyond several years ago, I got "sorry about the damage, we will have someone from claims contact you as soon as possible." The level of courtesy and service you receive from Easy Movers is exemplary. I highly recommend you use them. Their prices are competitive, but not the cheapest out there... but if you value your furniture and belongings, spend the few extra dollars to be treated professionally with courtesy and compassion. read more

At the time boxes were being packed, 5 workers spread out to various locations throughout my home. The house is just short of 4800 square feet, 3 floors. It was impossible for me to watch all of them at once. So obviously, it was quite easy for one or two of them to take items without me seeing it happen. Just questioning employees present is not enough. Would anyone admit to taking jewelry? Of course not! To state that everything possible is being done is false. I have been threatened to remove my review or face legal repercussions. I have stated the truth, nothing more.
