The men who served as my moving crew worked hard and were completely professional and capable. A couple of things went wrong, neither of which I could blame on the crew. I called the office the next day to complain about those things, and the response was a perfect example of customer service done right. I am not going to arouse suspicion by describing what went wrong and I am not going to create expectations by describing how they offered to make up for what went wrong. But if you hate moving half as much as I do, you need the professionalism of these good folks.

I moved from Ballantyne, NC, to South Park, NC. They didn't complete the move until the next day. They had to return to the residence because they lost the hardware from one bed. Also, they left items without wrapping. The next day, when they came back, once they had installed it, one of the guys asked for pay, and my card was declined because of my change in the zip code. There were three workers here, and there was no supervisor. Ok. So, when my card was declined, I called my husband, and he tried to give them a credit card number over the phone. They could not take that, and they became hostile. The guy insisted that he wanted the card physically. So, they said my husband needed to come here and give them the card. He was at a job site and could not leave. So, the guy started yelling at me and threatened to take my stuff. He walked room by room, looking at what he could take. They were three guys against two women. I said to the guy to leave my house. He refused to leave because he wanted to take my stuff, so I ran to the door to stop him from taking my belongings. My cousin called my husband, crying and looking at the situation. The guy was trying to intimidate me, so I called the police, and he decided to leave, but I stopped him because he had taken my stuff and was waiting for the police. The guy was out of control. My husband talked to the owner, and he told him to leave. We paid the bill for the move on Saturday morning, which was over $5000. I feel now traumatized by the situation. I feel like I was assaulted in my own house. You know how much stress it is to move from one place to another and care about your belongings. That's because we hired a service that says it is " professional." That was a big mistake; they are not what they say. For this horrible experience, I never recommend this company. We did a ton of research and decided on Reign as it was more expensive than other options so we figured would be higher quality. They also had all 5 star reviews so we figured it would be the best. We are now wondering why this is. They are definitely more expensive. They charge more per hour and they also charge a $350 'truck fee' that no one else charges from quotes we got. We were charged over $1700 for 5 hours. What we liked- - It was easy to schedule and they had our date available a few weeks out. They offered to set up a FaceTime to look at our items and make sure they sent out the appropriate number of trucks. - They gave us an hour window of when they would show up, and an update the morning of so we knew when to expect them. - They were nice and made sure they knew exactly what we wanted. We did one last walk through of the old place before we left. They made sure we were happy before they left the new place. We had 3 movers who were kind and seemed trustworthy. - They listened to the writing on the boxes of where to put the boxes in the new house and if it didn't have writing, they put it in the equivalent room in the new house of where they found it in the old house. - They were careful with our things and were able to unassemble and reassemble our pieces. They also wrapped up the furniture items with blankets to preserve them. - They worked quick and efficiently Why we aren't giving them 5 stars: - they stopped at the gas station between the old house and new house and arrived at the new house 30 minutes after us when we were right behind them the whole way up until the gas station. They did ask us if they could stop to get snacks but I didn't realize it would take this long and they did not deduct this from the time they billed us for. - They asked us if we wanted mattress bags for $15 each. I said yes as I figured this would be something we could keep and save for future moves. They did not leave us the bags. So we paid $30 to basically 'rent' 2 bags which I feel we should have been able to keep or not be charged for. Next time I will buy the $15 ones off Amazon that I can keep. - They took a shelf out of our entertainment stand. In the move the nails/pegs fell out. These are specialty nails to hold the shelf in. Now we are unable to use the shelf, and the piece sags without the shelf in. We have since gotten rid of it and gotten a new one. - The top of our desk will not fit properly on when this was never previously an issue and we ultimately can't fix it and will need to get a new one. - They were about to leave and I noticed something was missing so I asked about it and they had to go back on the truck to get it. If I didn't ask, they would've left with it still in the truck. - They did not deliver 2 small decorative pieces of ours that were the last items on the truck- not packed in a box. Which not a huge deal but I noticed shortly after they left, contacted the company, and they were not able to find them. We are completely unpacked and I know these things are not at either of our houses. ** which they did reimburse us for these things which we are thankful for!! Also customer service was very helpful at first when we were trying to find these items and discuss reimbursement, but then it was pretty hard to get ahold of them to confirm our reimbursement agreement and get them paid. It felt like I was tracking them down just to get our reimbursement approved and get them paid. We will likely use a different company next time we move.

That prompted me to make sure I had left a review, which looks like I didn't, so here I am. The owner, Ted, is an Air Force veteran, and his discipline really shows in his moving company as well. Everything him and his crew moved for me made it in perfect condition with no dings to the walls or doors. I also really liked that when we made it to my new place, we went through the condo and gave each room a name. So as the crew brought boxes and furniture in, I simply had to tell them which room to put it in. They even helped me assemble the furniture and centered everything. Which, I'm a stickler for, so the centering was much appreciated. High quality service, well thought out process, and reasonably priced.

I hired Ted and his crew to unload a 22-foot rental truck in the Charlotte area. On move day, as I had requested, Ted texted me 30 minutes in advance that he was en route. Ted and his 2 helpers, Vlad and Jeremy, showed up on time and started work as soon as I parked and opened the door of the truck. Ted brought all the required equipment (dollies, carts and a handtruck + straps for the mattress) and even provided a battery-operated fan for me to use while I waited on the back of the truck (to keep an eye on all of the stuff), where temperatures in the summer can exceed 100 degrees. That fan kept me cool throughout the move. Ted and his helpers worked very hard for 4 hours to get all of the items into the elevator and up into the apartment. They honored my requests and never once complained about any aspect of the job, including an additional 150-foot walk across the parking garage no one knew about. Everyone was professional, friendly, and very easy to work with. I am happy to report that all items made it safely into the apartment. Ted, Vlad and Jeremy made sure to unwrap all of the items, place them where requested, and to put all of the boxes in the specific room marked on each box. They also re-assembled a table and removed all of the tape from the moving blankets. It was a stress-free experience from start to finish. If you're in the Charlotte area and looking for professional, affordable movers with a great attitude and work ethic, don't hesitate to call Ted.
