Cute restaurant. The food is good but the wait can be a bit lengthy depending on the day and time and there is very little room to sit/stand. We generally order takeout for this reason, just make sure you check your order as we have had items missed. read more

I would give 2.5 stars if I could. They don't deserve a 3, but 2 seems too low... Anyways! I went with my aunt one morning. Their waitresses were nice, enjoyable to talk to. My hot coffee was always filled. Food was decent, not the best but not bad. Our waitress brought us one check and we handed her two cards and said split it evenly. She brought back out receipts we signed, left a tip and went home. What our waitress didn't tell us was she accidentally charged my card for the full price first, then refunded me the money, which accidentally charged me a second time (both at full price) finally she refunded me once. I had to call them the next day to ask what happened after seeing my bank. I had a $50 hold on my bank for five days while this got sorted. I feel like the waitress should have told me what happened when she brought us the check back. But I still ended up paying $25 dollars for the full check plus my half which was $12 and some change. Not worth me going back and paying $37 for a plate with two eggs and two pieces of bacon with a coffee. read more

After hearing this place had new owners as of three weeks ago we decided to give it a try. We were kind of worried after reading some reviews but wanted to form our own opinions. We had no trouble, nothing happened that was mentioned in the poor reviews and the food was outstanding. The staff and owner were very friendly and attentive and the place was clean. I just wish they kept Coke like the old Scramblez had :-0 My friend had the Reuben and she loved it and I had the BLT. Both were Huge sandwiches with very large perfectly done onion rings. My bacon was done perfectly and she said her corn beef was juicy and was so delicious. Now let me just say the wheat bread and whatever divine butter they used on it before grilling it I couldn't get enough of. We are coming back for breakfast to get more wheat bread! read more

Would NOT go back. Horrible customer service! I really wanted to like this place since I love small mom and pop breakfast joints. So after having a bad experience the first time, I took the chance and went back again, which was an even more disappointing experience than the first.   First time I went, I walk in and all the servers/busgirls just completely ignored me and my party. So, I was left standing the front confused on what to do, looking around, waiting. After a while of waiting at the front with no one acknowledging me, some lady shouts at me to put my name on the waiting list. Typically, in a restaurant, someone greets you or at least politely asks to add your name to the waiting list and gives you a time frame for the wait time. In this case, none of that occurred. It was as if the staff were bothered that I showed up. Moving forward, the waitress was completely unfriendly (it was an older woman, do not remember her name). Can she smile at least?! Second time I went, the same thing happened. I walk in and despite waitresses/busgirls being in close proximity, they completely ignore me, no friendly welcome, nothing. I noticed that they also did that to others that walked in after. Absolutely no greeting. It's very strange and makes me wonder how they even have customers at this point. Luckily this time I knew to just put my name on the list and wait. No one provided me with an estimated time frame or any direction. In this second experience, the waitress was ok, however, I kept having to ask for stuff, such as refills on my coffee, a to-go box-three times (they ended up not giving me one after asking twice, and so I actually had to go find the waitress to ask for the 3rd time). Keep in mind, the restaurant was not busy at this time. Also, the section of the restaurant where I was seated smelled so bad! I couldn't believe how putrid the smell was. I was even more horrified when I went to the restroom to find it completely dirty with no toilet paper. Because of that, I started to look around the restaurant and noticed that even their windows were filthy and looked as if they had not been cleaned for a while.    My overall perception of this place is that they do not care about their customers or providing quality service. A simple greeting goes a long way and it seems as if it's too much trouble for the staff at this place to simply greet customers or even smile. Will never come back here. There are many other small businesses in Palmdale/Lancaster/ Quartz Hill one can go to that provide both good food and good service. read more

Came here for a casual birthday brunch to fuel up for some wine tasting. We shared the CA Turkey Club with Onion Rings,Bacon Bleu Burger with fries and an extra side of fries (for our son who devoured them). Food was way better than expected for this cafe. My expectations weren't high bc I just don't like eggs! It's nice that there are two rooms. We sat in a corner booth which was great so we didn't feel cramped. Service was ok but a little spotty in that the person who sat us was kind of serving us and she was super nice but the person really serving us didn't seem to thrilled. We needed extra napkins and the second server took what feels like forever when you need napkins so we asked the first server for them too. Perhaps a dispenser on the table is in order if you are going to have thin paper napkins? They need a changing table in the bathroom! I don't seeing one. If you have high chairs, then you have a changing table. Period. Thankfully we didn't need it this time. Plenty of parking. Nice decor. I'm so glad it didn't smell like eggs!!! read more

For me, this place is a mixed bag. On the positive side, the food, when cooked, is very good. I especially liked their sausage patties and potatoes. The service was good too. On the negative side, my sausage patties were way undercooked. I had to ask the waitress to throw them back on the grill. Also this place is kind of crowded. They need either fewer tables or a bigger space. Taking everything in consideration, I would definitely give this place a second chance, but if they undercooked my food again, I would explore other options for breakfast. read more

Drove out of my way to come here, passing some other great restaurants and I have to say I shouldn't have come at all. Since it's a cramped room, limited seating and no wait area to speak of, when you're seated you get stares from all the hungry people waiting to get seated and eat. I guess I can forgive that and just face away from the door, but that's not always possible now is it? Then came the food, which came at slightly longer than what is expected for a simple meal. The meal. *sigh* I ordered the "Easy Up" which is an egg white omelette with spinach, mushrooms and goat cheese. Hold the toast, and make my fruit cup strawberries and bananas only. Simple, right? Not only was my omelette super greasy, but it wasn't tasty fats like butter or ghee. The goat cheese was a blob of bad, it overpowered everything. I think feta crumbles used sparingly would be better. Omelettes are supposed to be light and airy, this was not. How can you call yourself an egg place if you can't land your eggs?? In it's defense, it came warm. So there's that. The strawberries were ripe, but there were some definite "too ripe/gone bad" spots on them I had to cut off. The bananas were bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. I got my meal down, but my stomach wasn't happy after that, suffice to say. Our waitress ignored our empty glasses despite coming by twice, once to drop off the check and second because we flagged her down to refill our drinks. Terrible dish and waitress aside, there was this Non-stop. Loud. Searing. High-pitched SQUEAL coming from a machine in kitchen. It was like needles through my eyes and I don't know how anyone could tolerate it. I couldn't choke down my food fast enough to get out of there, and I won't be back. My husband and I decide to try out this place because we always loved going to Scramblez. It was pretty busy but we got seated right away. We were very excited about the menu because it had fun items on it like 4 different ways to have eggs benedict. My husband got an omelet and I got the California benedict. He asked for biscuits and gravy. His meal came with a biscuit so we were told it would be extra for the gravy. We thought it was a little odd but figured it must be homemade and tasty. Some time passed and I watched our meal sitting under the heat lamp through the food pass for at least 5 minutes! I then heard a server ask the cook if they had better looking guacamole (both our dishes came with it on there). Finally our food came. No joke the guacamole was almost black! Guess they didnt have fresh stuff. We were so hungry that we both scrapped it off and continued eating. His meal was beyond greasy and I could tell he was disappointed. At one point he said his hashbrowns tasted like they had dirt on them. Mine was okay but lacked too much flavor. He got his extra gravy that we had to pay for and you could taste the powder in it....it was no where near being homemade. I really hope it gets better. You hate ro see small buisnesses go under but they need to focus on the quality of their food. We were so disappointed and most likely won't be back for a while. read more

WOW, I SIMPLY ASK FOR NO ONIONS ON MY BURGER DUE TO ALLERGY. Burger arrives and onions on it. I send it back politely and cook takes onions off that were in the cheese which have all the enzymes from the onions and sends it back out. There is a pass through so I see it all. I explain to the waitress about needing to have no contact with the onions as I am anaphylaxis to onions. She takes it back and cook has a fit right in the window and wiggles his head back and forth and mouths a bunch of crap tight in the window. Wow don't misread the ticket in the first place and it won't come back. Sadly me and my wife are weekly patrons here and love thier food. One bad egg ruined it for the whole carton. Left a $10.00 tip on $26.00 ticket for waitress for being so attentive and apoligetic but left note for cook to read tickets and respect customers. read more

Just sat down. Service ok. Found out the owner also owns the Broken Bit. Let's see how it goes. Husband ordered ribeye breakfast. Steak is thin and full of gristle. I ordered the campfire and received something totally different. The waiter made a point to tell me that's why he asked me if I wanted a biscuit. I received my food and it was flavorless and the ribeye in it tasted like it was boiled. A steak should be seared in a very hot cast iron skillet to perfection. The meat was very poor quality. The potatoes were ok, but in desperate need of seasoning. The biscuit was ok, but greasy. So basically this is the same old scramblez and remains a place I would drive by every time without stopping. Might I recommend Chellys across town. A true gem in the AV with wonderful owners. Nice try but a fail in my book. read more

We've eaten here a couple times and have done takeout a couple times. Each time we've done take-out they always get our order wrong. This time we ordered 2 chicken fried steaks & eggs. We asked for extra gravy on the potatoes. Well, we should have checked our food before we left. We ended up with a dry chicken fried hamburger patty with no gravy which made it very difficult to eat. Wow, real delicious breakfast burrito. Also the biscuits and gravy are the best that I have found in Antelope Valley.

We loved this place, until our last visit. This place closes at 2pm. We entered at 1:20pm. We ordered iced tea - it came with coffee grounds in it. We didn't get our food until 1:50pm. In the meantime, 2 servers ordered food and began eating at the bar right in front of us (they got their food really fast!). A third was putting chairs onto tables. Then, a bunch of the servers friends walked in and started just hanging out. We felt really uncomfortable, like we shouldn't be there. Plus, it took forever to flag someone down about the coffee grounds in our iced tea. Then, when our food came, it was wrong, but we didn't care - we just wanted to leave. I had been hearing awesome reviews about this place, myself and friends were very eager to try it..... so disappointing. The food wasn't even warm when it was brought to the table, every plate came out at least 5 minutes apart from the others, the dishes with hollandaise sauce was skimpy to say the least and the extra side was awful. The server (receipt says nikki) was slow, didn't come check on us more than twice despite only having 2 parties in the Cafe. And when the receipts finally were dropped off at the table there was an extra one, and the original receipt was not what was charged. The server brought back another receipt with the different amount and was charged for the awful, cold, and flavorless side. We will never come back here and I will never tell anyone to come here. So so sad. On top of not complaining minus the mischarge our server was unnecessarily rude, she stated "ill just pay you in cash out of my pocket, no big deal" unprofessional and snarky. Then preceded to set said cash onto of the receipts that were being reviewed. read more
