She's custom designed 3 pieces for me now, the most recent being a a large multi session piece on my arm that was a rework of an old tattoo that was busted. Now we're planning the other arm! She also did a basketball for me and it's perfectly circular!!!!!Galadriel is a great artist and I admire her creativity and ability to work with what you want. The shop is a cool place to be. It's clean and decorated well. (The bathroom is so cute.) While maintaining professionalism and a high level of knowledge the camaraderie between artists is evident and the shop owner Ken is a cool dude. It really seems like everyone works hard and likes to tat! I am so glad I found this place! Also, shout out again to Galadriel who besides being ridiculously talented is also one of my favorite people ever! Keep serving up awesome y'all!

I walked in and Claudia greeted me, she gave me some paperwork to fill out while she was getting the room ready, Claudia seem to be very knowledgeable in her craft. She had me pick out the nose ring, she said I would need to wear the same one for about six months to make sure it healed well! She said I can come back for the first time and they would exchange my piercing if I would like. She went over the post after care instructions with me... she told me I would need to return in six weeks just so they can take a look at it. Make sure it's healing.. Terrible Customer Service!!…read more THEIF!!! I went to speak with Joey at Shades of Grey Tattoo on 22nd st. Joey spoke with me about a tattoo I wanted near my shoulder. Joey stated he would get me in soon if I was flexible. I told him I had a completely open schedule. Joey promised to send me a sketch within a couple of days. I did not hear from Joey for several days and followed up. He said he was busy and would get me something the next day several more days went by with no communication. I reached out again and he asked for a deposit. I gave him $300. Joey did not communicate for several more days and I had to ask again. Finally he sent me a generic tattoo found on the internet and put me on the schedule. I had to change the day and Joey said no problem and would squeeze me in another day. Since then Joey has not responded to any texts and would not issue a refund of the deposit. I have all texts as proof.

If you've been to a street front tattoo shop, you probably feel like you're being over charged and over whelmed by the size of the shop. I get it, you're exactly right to feel like that in a different place. Here, you're going to feel like you're at a friends house. The first thing David asks is what kind of drink you want; ex: water, soda, or whatever else is in his fully stocked fridge. I'm watching my figure so I just had a water. I came here to watch a friend get a full sleeve over 5 hours long (it was amazing) & I'm also scheduled for an appointment next week so, I wanted to talk about a price and get a rough sketch for my own tattoo. I did a few videos on Facebook live & Instagram of the shop & convo while my friend got tatt'ed up. Everyone online loved the studio & we had over 100 people watching us as my friend got his fresh ink. The shop wasn't busy & we were the only ones there as it was an appointment time spot for my friend which was booked for the next 5 hours. We both talked about sitting for up to 12 hours on our next tattoos since David makes it super friendly & talks about our hobbies & work as much as current events & our families. I mean it really felt like talking to a friend right off the bat. Ask for an appointment and definitely let David know what you want and what you expect from your future ink. He'll make you comfortable & keep the professional level of his art work higher than any shop you can find. Guaranteed! (This is my 7th tattoo studio around the world)

If there was an option to pick zero stars I would. The owner of this establishment, Jason, has put…read morehis recent focus into a community project called the "living mural". It is a collect and collaboration of local artists and their murals. Due to some miscommunication regarding cleaning up paint. Please keep in mind, paint is paint. Artists aren't exactly the neatest people. Besides the point, the artists were more than willing to clean up the debris from their work. Jason responded with no communication and then aggression. A Mexican and black artists both has their murals removed at no warning or notice. Not only is it unprofessional, but it could be considered an attack on the community those artists represent. When asked to take responsibility for these actions, Jason deleted multiple social media comments of public outcry. I would feel very uncomfortable stepping foot in this establishment. How can a person say they serve a community, just treat people so poorly? My opinions would definitely be changed if a public apology was issued to the artists and the community. We should we unifying, not dividing.
