A Taste of Thailand in Redlands! I went here for my cousin's birthday and I'm glad I did. Eastern Classic Thai is a hidden gem in Redlands. Inside it was dimly lit which is fine with me. It seemed pretty empty here but it shouldn't be because the food here is delicious , with authentic flavors and ok amount of portions. Every dish we tried was great with lots of different flavors. The service was great as the waitress was attentive to our large group and made sure everything was taken care of , and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. If you're craving delicious Thai cuisine, this is the place to go!

Our team went out for an impromptu lunch, Nick did an amazing job of serving our party of 12. The food was delicious and everyone left satisfied. Thank you Nick for your attentive service and getting us back to work on time. We will be back.

    #75 - Beef Bowl Soup

I've been by here 100's of times and I'm glad I stopped in. As you can see it's a casual, easy dining restaurant (see my interior pics). The service was fairly good. The parking was easy and ample. We were there for a weekend lunch. We started with #1 - Egg Rolls (see my pic). The wrappings were quite light and crunchy. The interior veggies and bean threads were okay, not very crunchy. The side of sweet & sour sauce was slightly sweet and minimal sour. Being a cold, dreary day we ordered, basically, soups. We started with the #51 - Tom-Kah Gal (see my pic). The coconut milk created a warming, creamy base. There was a nice tang of ginger and lime leaves really came through in the broth. You can see in my pic the thinly sliced chicken breast meat. The meat was mildly flavored and very tender. We also had the #75 - Beef Bowl Soup. This is a simple soup of beef broth and noodles. As you can see in my pic there was ample noodles and plenty of beef slices. The broth had a fair amount of rich flavor tempered with salty celery slices and a few chopped green onions.

Beef Pad See-Eew. Found pieces of egg shells

I've been here a few times before and the food has always been good. My bf and I came here on 10/06 to order food to go. We got 4 Pad See Ews and 1 Thai Beef Salad. I got the beef pad see ew. To my disappointment the food didn't taste as good as I remembered. The food seemed like it's been sitting there for a long time. The noodles was too soft and broke easily. Flavor wasn't there. My bf's daughter got the same and she found egg shell pieces in her food. My bf got the beef salad and also agreed it didn't taste as good as before. For what we paid for was not worth it. Maybe the cook had an off day? I don't know. Although it's sad for me to say this but this might be the last visit for us as there are other Thai food establishments around. I do hope for the best for this business as it's been here for quite a long time.

Thai Style Beef Jerky, Laab, pad Thai, egg rolls

The dishes were mixed between good and ok. Tom yum with shrimps was good, sour and little spicy. Thai beef jerky was over cooked, some pieces are tough. Sticky rice was good with the jerky and beef larb. Pad thai was ok. It does not look like or tasted like pad Thai I had before. Service was good. He was friendly.

This place has been here for years but I never put it on the Thai Food rotation list. I usually order Pad See Ew when I go to Thai food places. So that's what I ordered. The beef was cooked good, nice and tender. But the noodles were way over cooked and a bit mushy. I was a little disappointed. But the wife ordered Kung Pao and said it was pretty good. We also got some egg rolls, which were pretty good. The service was great tho and the waiter was very friendly.

It creates the perfect setting for the food. The Pad Thai, crab fried rice, chicken wings, and the Ka Pow were all incredible, but the sauces... seriously, the sauces deserve their own shout-out! The cocktails were tasty and presentable. Food is a decent size and shareable. However, I must say they lack ingredients like for curry it was really watery and plain, it didn't have veggies like I would get from other restaurants, there were some chicken pieces and a few tiny bits of potato. The crab fried rice and beef pad see eww didn't have that much protein but it's alright since there's equal veggies mixed in. Chicken wings were good but I would pass on the egg rolls, it was gritty and dry in my opinion. Mango sticky rice is not bad, your typical dessert like other places. The wait for bigger parties can take some time on weekend or peak time since it's a small restaurant. There's a few bigger tables all the way in the back of the restaurant. 20% gratuity is required for parties of 5 or more.

Don't let the location fool you. The flavor speaks way louder than the storefront. The fan favorites? They actually hit. * Pad Thai - perfectly balanced, not overly soggy, not drowning in sauce. * Pad See Ew - smoky, savory, that wok flavor you're hoping for. * Drunken Noodles - intensely savory, spicy, and slightly sweet. Stir-fried with Thai basil, garlic, and chilies. The yellow curry was solid too (creamy and comforting) but just a little sweeter than I prefer. That's personal taste, not a flaw. Now here's the real mic drop: my wife isn't even a Thai food fan... and she enjoys coming here. That alone tells you everything. For a Saturday at 4:30pm, we were seated and waited on immediately. The menu was expansive and I was surprised with the amount of vegetarian options for a Chinese restaurant. Our server was helpful in suggesting various fish options and knew their wait times. Some notable dishes were the sizzling beef with black pepper, beef scallion rolls, honey walnut chicken, mapo tofu, and fried chicken. The dishes that could be improved for flavor were the vegetarian steamed dumplings, steamed whole fish, and beef chow fun. We probably ordered around 8-10 plates (all dishes came with rice) and many arrived at the same time. The prices were very reasonable for the portions and it was just enough for everyone. Since we had a birthday celebrant, they were able to put our personal cake in the fridge. Our server provided a complimentary matcha cheesecake and candle towards the end of our meal. His robot server sidekick also sang happy birthday! I did feel like they were understaffed because the lobby hostess had to find the server for me several times when I asked for our cake and the check. When we arrived, the hostess attempted to seat us at a table that would not have comfortably accommodated our group. I politely asked if we could be seated at a nearby table that had more space. In response, she rolled her eyes and let out an audible sigh, which felt unprofessional and dismissive. When we were eventually seated at the requested table, she placed the menus down abruptly and did not hand one to me directly, instead leaving it at the end of the table. The interaction came across as unnecessarily rude and, frankly, not in line with the level of service I would expect from a hostess. That said, I want to note that the rest of our experience was positive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The food itself was also very good (I would not recommend the orange chicken though) and something I would return for. I hope management takes the opportunity to address the front-of-house experience, as first impressions matter and can significantly impact a guest's overall perception.
