Pros: Awesome service, professional staff, mil discount, rewards program, fuel discount…read more Cons: there's another one closer to Fort Meade I usually go here to get emergency parts, but this time I just needed to see what the warning light is on a friend's car. They let me borrow an OBII reader (battery is going bad) and the staffer Jamie even verified the problem with their dedicated battery tester. Above and beyond, I didn't even buy anything today. He suggested the best buy to get the parts I needed (their rewards program is awesome) especially the 30 cent per gal discount partnership with Shell. The military discount is awesome. Jamie is a super awesome dude

BLUF: Electronic parts are made too cheaply, are non-refundable, and are often defective…read more I purchased a blinker relay here for my 2003 Ford mustang online. The relay I got here didn't work and just got hot (it showed signs of being defective). Went back to get a refund. I casually explained to the employee that I needed a new one because the first one was getting hot and just not working. Right off the bat he began gaslighting me that the issue wasn't the relay and was most likely a crossed wire. I disagreed, got a new relay and went on my way. That one didn't work either. I went to a different store (Ellicott City) and explained that the relays clearly weren't working and they refused to refund me because they are electronic parts. I didn't do the exchange again because they clearly weren't compatible with my vehicle or just plain cheap. I got a used Ford brand relay off ebay and it works just fine. Long story short I'm never going back to Advance Auto Parts. Bad experience all around.

I had a really ... interesting experience when I bought a new battery for my vehicle. The…read morealternator had died, and my SIL is the one who went and bought the new one, and apparently had quite a chat with one of the staff. The guy remembered him and told me all about how he told my SIL how to do the install (which of course he had already found on YouTube!) So when they said they'd install the new battery, although I had to wait several minutes, the employee was very pleasant and helpful. The whole business was a tad slow, because he dropped a bracket into the engine compartment. My vehicle has a protective cover under the engine, so it didn't get all the way to the ground. Bless him, this man went back inside and got a rain slicker, which he laid on the ground and then crawled underneath to retrieve the bracket. This is where it gets interesting. I stood out in the sun because it felt wrong to sit in the SUV while he did the work... and I ended up handing him tools. He barked, "Give me the socket" and "give me the ratchet, no the other one!" The capper was when he finished putting the protective cover back on, held up his hand to me and said, "Help me up!" LOL! I didn't mind it nearly as much as when my ex-husband used to do it. ;) Anyway, we get great service here and prices are about like any auto parts place. And it's close to home.

My current bike a 2022 Road glide special with a 114 engine with a Red Shift 468 cam kit in my Road Glide Special I can honestly state that the sound, quiet power train, torque and acceleration in all gears is unmatched by any other upgrades installed prior. I would highly recommend Zipper's as a supplier for cams and their first rate support for all of their products.

I placed an order with this company for almost $400. I ordered 2 sprockets, a chain, and a master…read morelink. The purchasing process was fairly simple, but it was too good to be true. I made my purchase on a friday and still hadnt received a confirmation email by monday, so I decided to call them and ask for an update. They informed me my order would ship the next day when the sprocket order arrived. Tuesday came along and still no email or tracking. By wednesday, I called again. Steve informed me that the sprocket order came in a day late and also the front sprocket I ordered was not in the order and I would have to wait 3 weeks for it to come in. Its as if he didnt even know what products he would be receiving. He made a suggestion to switch the gear ratio from 24t front 55t rear to 25t front and 56t rear which they had both in stock. The rpm difference was only about 50 which was fine so I said ship me those. Waited for my confirmation email and tracking the rest of the day wednesday and still nothing. I called AGAIN thursday asking what the heck was going on? They simply stated they werent sure how I wanted the items to be shipped so they waited for me to answer their emails which for some reason I wasnt receiving. Finally I was fed up and suggested that they pay for expedited shipping of my items, and when I suggested it, the woman who I spoke with said she would have to ask her manager. She called back and said that expedited 2 day shipping from Maryland to southern california would be approximately $70. She said I could pay it and it would get there by saturday but didnt offer to cover it for all of the mistakes and issues I had been experiencing. I told her she needs to go back to her manager and try to help me out. She called me back AGAIN 10 minutes before they closed on thursday saying it would be approximately $100 to overnight my package to me and that if I paid the $70 for the expedited cost, they would "eat the remaining cost" as if paying for 30% of the shipping cost that I shouldnt have had to pay in the first place was going to make up for all of the wrong they have done by me the customer. I was fed up and finally told the woman to just ship it standard free the way they promised on their site and understood that it would get there when it got there. I verbalized to her how upset I was and how wrong this was and all she could say to me was "thanks for being understanding and patient." All in all, customer service was a 0/5 stars but unfortunately I have to give them at least 1 star on yelp.
