I brought my car in for the Maryland Vehicle Safety Inspection. The mechanic called out a list of…read morerepairs after the inspection, claiming they were required for the Maryland inspection to pass. After doing my own research, it became clear that not everything on the list of repairs were safety-related or required by the state. Only after pressing the issue did the mechanic (named Malik) agreed and revised the list, which already raised red flags about trustworthiness of this shop. The experience only got worse from there. I dropped my car off early the next morning, as instructed, and called later in the day to ask Malik when it might be ready so I could arrange a ride. Instead of a simple, helpful response, I was met with outright hostility. When I asked, "Do you expect the car to be ready today or tomorrow?" Malik curtly replied: "Your car will be ready when it is ready." I asked my question a different way. Malik replied with the same exact response, " It will be ready when it is ready" I tried to explain that I just needed an estimate to plan my transportation. Malik responded "What part of what I told you don't you understand?" This level of rudeness and unprofessionalism toward a paying customer is completely unacceptable. Clear communication and basic respect should be the bare minimum, especially when you're entrusting someone with your vehicle and paying for their time and expertise. I cannot in good faith recommend Fell Point Auto to others. There are plenty of competent and respectful auto professionals in Baltimore , Fell Point Auto isn't one.

My car is fine and this second service was a routine oil change followed by a job that would help with the alignment of my car recommended on the first service job about 8 months ago. The crew and Siwan work exceptionally hard and there's a constant flow of customer base with a wide variety of brands, makes, and models. There's a ton of pros I can give off but I think the primary one is the fact that Siwan is customer first. Don't want to give all the details but just know he will take care of you because he has a perspective unlike most. There's no perfect experience and the one con I will give is their delegation of workflow. I think if there was an admin assistant to take care of majority of front of house, appointments, paperwork, etc. it would take it to another level than it already is. Siwan seems aware of this and is seeking good help to manage the flow. Nonetheless a great experience again. 5 stars

Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one. They do very good business so they're frequently booked up-- make an appointment if possible, they take preference over walk-ins. I called on a Wednesday morning to see when I could get in, and the earliest appointment they had was Friday. I needed an oil change, my tires inspected, and for them to check on an issue with my AC. You fill out a detailed service form inside the Shell station and the cashier, who is also a garage employee, takes care of it from there. When the mechanic called to give me his report, he followed my instructions to proceed with the oil change but get my permission for any other work needed. He told me my tires were in good condition (and didn't try to upsell me to make a buck). With the roads in Bmore being what they are, it would have been really easy to try that card (which some untrustworthy mechanics do more so with women), but this guy was honest with me and I respect that. He also said that my AC issue wasn't a problem that required any work and might just come and go, though harmless-- so again, saving me cash. The whole process was very efficient and reasonable priced, and the staff was friendly. I definitely recommend!

Yelp Fam! The…read moreweather outside is frightful & that means that flat tires are standard in the winter. Luckily Jeff & the Team at Firestone really helped me out. I was headed to work when I noticed our car had a flat tire, after frustratingly searching for mechanics. My fiancée gave me the number for Firestone, I spoke with Jeff, who was super helpful and knowledgeable. After a brief conversation about my issue we agreed that We should have the car towed to access the repair. In a flash our tow truck arrived, I met up with Jeff at Firestone. He logged my information and assured me he would take care of me. He had a mechanic assess the tire and gave me estimates for the repair. Even in this crazy time jeff was able to help and provided great customer service. The Firestone was clean, everyone had masks, hand sanitizer was available & the bathroom was clean as well. While I waited I chatted with jeff and by the time we finished our vehicle was almost done. Overall what could of been a very stressful situation was sorted out with tact and efficiency. We stopped, refilled the coolant, and continued onward--for about two blocks, when the coolant light came on AGAIN. Looked at the coolant level and it was completely empty--we had a leak. We googled and found this place. (The Google reviews for this place, btw, are glowing. Lots of European cars out front indicate that some people who could choose otherwise rely on Harbor.) The guys here took a look at the vehicle and told us that there was a hole in the hose and we needed to replace it. Their parts shop was closed, but they told us they could either jury-rig a solution or get a part the next day. We went with the first option. They promised it would take about an hour. Meanwhile, they ushered us into the waiting room, let my mom use their private (and cleaner) bathroom, and turned on the space heater so she would be warm. They were done right when they said they would be and the car worked perfectly. The charge was incredibly modest. I'm so grateful to all the guys here for stopping work on their other projects to help a sick woman and her family get back home.
