Not only that within a week after me bringing my car to them, my car starts starting and not staying on. This happened 3 times within a span of a week. I got stuck in a garage because my car wouldn't start anymore and a guy my school sent out looked at my oil and said it was dark!! i brought my car BACK to bob's and they then charge me another $200 just to clean out a sensor but on the receipt it says they removed and replaced the sensor (lying on paperwork) and they said this was a new code to pop up. But when I brought my car to autozone before coming to Bob's, they told me the MAF sensor was the issue. Another 3 hours after driving my car from getting their service, my engine light turns back on. They have no respect for clientele and just want to ruin your car so you have to keep coming back to them. I have never been so dissatisfied in my life! Do not go here!

So why today was I met by two new faces at the service desk with such a strikingly different attitude? I was surprised to hear oil changes require advance appointments, and you now prefer online. I mean, sure, I can do that. But when did that change? And why was a technician I've never seen before so condescending about it? He was downright hostile. Then the other guy chimed in and accused me of interrupting him. Honestly, gentlemen, I asked myself, "Is it worth it to schedule an appointment with you, if I know it's going to be you calling me to tell me any additional work that may need to be done? Do I trust the two of you?" The answer in that split-second moment was no. The arrogance, sarcasm, and belittling behavior by this pair made me realize I wouldn't trust these two to be the communicators of my mechanic shop. When I asked where the two old guys went, Kyle said with a smirk, "They went where all old guys go." Um, did they die? No, they retired, thankfully. Old guys from the desk, you are missed by your customers! Maybe it's the same great mechanics working behind closed bay doors at Hollenshade's, I don't know. Two guys I've never seen before told me things about how the business works that I've never heard before and treated me in a way no one at Hollenshades ever treated me before. Which leads me to the conclusion that this is not the same Hollenshade's I've trusted for over 20 years. I'm genuinely disappointed that I need to find a new mechanic. Like the battery The second visit was to the change the battery, since the battery light came on. During the visit I was told that it was more than the battery. That I needed to get a new alternator. Okay. I spend over $11,00 on repairs. Two weeks later I am out of state and lights are coming on. I call and get no answer. Welp, there isn't much I can do out of state so I decided to wait until I am back in town. Fast forward. I come home 3 wks later and while I am driving in the middle lane my steering wheel locks up on me. I can't control the car. My daughter is is getting a little panicked. I hit the hazard lights. I had to stay calm and let the car drift as I decelerate. I still don't know how I made it over to the right lane shoulder, but some how I did. I called precision tune immediately and they are like, bring the car in. Ummm sir, the thing won't move. He proceeds to tell me about being short staffed. I called my insurance company, which I thankfully have roadside assistance. They tow the car to Precision Tune. I left the car there for the whole wknd. I get a call the day after dropping it off stating that it was a bad alternator they put in and that these things sometimes happen. Sorry, but my family was in the car and they could've died. So I won't frequent this establishment again.
