Where do I begin? I got my truck a 2017 Audi Q7 towed to this shop from another shop. Per the other shop they said I needed a new engine. I called and talked to Ogenchi (the shop owner) she is amazing by the way. I told her the previous shop said I needed a new engine, she said have it towed here and we will look over the vehicle and provide you a diagnostics. Just know Prince (the mechanic) is so knowledgeable and hands down the best at his craft. Him and Ogenchi called and talked me through the problems/issues and provided their recommendations. I concurred with their recommendations and just know a few days later I was picking up my truck that was previously struggling when it was towed there from the beginning. Throughout the entire process I became overwhelmed and frustrated because the previous auto shop also messed up a few things on my truck, but Prince and Ogenchi reassured me I was in good hands like Allstate and guess what they stood on all ten feet when it came to fixing my issues. They definitely don't okay about the business they run. They made me so comfortable and removed all my worries and frustration. They even prayed with me that all my issues would be resolved and that I would be happy once they completed the repairs. They are now my new auto mechanic family. No other shop is ever touching my truck again. After all who wouldn't want an honest, trust worthy, reliable company taking care of their pride and joy. I would book here time and time again! If you looking for a good auto shop and been told that you need a new engine, transmission whatever they say, don't hesitate to call Ogenchi and Prince they will definitely take care of you and your vehicle needs. the Harbor auto center get a 10/10! I had been struggling trying to get my starter replaced on my Acura Tl 2010, they were outstanding as far as customer service goes , they were very direct , and kept an open line of communication being as though I had to leave for work , my shift wasn't even half way over before I got the call that the job was done and i could come get my car . this made my heart so happy and it was almost unbelievable that it was done so fast . Upon arrival I noticed that they even put air in my tires and that was a definitely a blessing for me . I'm a single mom of 3 and our car is one of our biggest necessity. I have been coming and supporting the business for ten plus years. Since the owner transitioned in 2019, I did not have any mechanics to service my vehicles. Since his wife has revived the business, she and her brother Mr Prince has helped me in service. Despite a few hiccups, they come through with all efforts of an amicable solution. This is not an easy business to service European vehicles, I am a very tough customer! I'm no holds barred so I'm sure with any business none is perfect, but for me to continue my patronage, I have found a sense of trust in their care. Do not use this shop! They broke the latch on my hood and then proceeded to blame and charge me. They never called to notify me of the services needed. They kept my vehicle over the weekend for a simple oil temperature gauge change. charged me $996 for these two issues. including $630 for labor. online their hours are from 9-5, but on Monday as we agreed I arrived at 3:30 to pickup the vehicle and the shop was closed. When I called, the woman had no explanation or apologies. she told me to wait there as she would "come back to the shop before 5:00" and "don't keep me waiting" , then arriving at 5:10. when I asked about prices and the unprofessionalism she became very defensive and told me she never had to come let me get my car today, that they never had to fix my car on Monday. Mind you- my appointment was on Friday. I will never waste my money on this shop again and you shouldn't either. read more

These folks really saved us. We live in DC and were in Baltimore for a doctor's appointment for my mother, who is very ill. When we were heading out of town, the coolant light came on. We stopped, refilled the coolant, and continued onward--for about two blocks, when the coolant light came on AGAIN. Looked at the coolant level and it was completely empty--we had a leak. We googled and found this place. (The Google reviews for this place, btw, are glowing. Lots of European cars out front indicate that some people who could choose otherwise rely on Harbor.) The guys here took a look at the vehicle and told us that there was a hole in the hose and we needed to replace it. Their parts shop was closed, but they told us they could either jury-rig a solution or get a part the next day. We went with the first option. They promised it would take about an hour. Meanwhile, they ushered us into the waiting room, let my mom use their private (and cleaner) bathroom, and turned on the space heater so she would be warm. They were done right when they said they would be and the car worked perfectly. The charge was incredibly modest. I'm so grateful to all the guys here for stopping work on their other projects to help a sick woman and her family get back home. read more

David Nwachukwu, the owner, personally jumped in my car to test a steering column problem that caused my car to flunk its state inspection. He tried to tell the inspecting station that my steering column was NOT problematic but was ignored. David then recommended another inspection station - it passed! And I'm happy! And David didn't charge me a dime for his trouble and time even though I just showed up at his shop in the middle of the afternoon without an appointment. read more

This company is a bait-and-switch cheat. AVOID. My alternator failed while driving and my vehicle was towed by insurance to Harbor Auto Center. Their quote to replace the alternator included an expensive part charge for the alternator. I spoke and emailed with the owner, David, who assured me in writing that the reason for the high part price was that they would be installing a new OEM alternator - not a cheaper re-manufactured part from a third-party manufacturer. I then consented in writing to the price and work on the condition that a new OEM alternator would be installed. While discussing with David when I picked up the vehicle, he further stated that he only recommends installing new OEM parts for major components like alternators. I paid my invoice (the same part and labor charges as the original quote) and retrieved my keys. When I then popped the hood I discovered that the alternator installed was clearly tagged 'Re-manufactured in Mexico', and 'Remy 12665' - a third party manufacturer, not OEM. After being assured the $442 part charge was for a new OEM alternator, Harbor Auto Center bait-and-switched, installing a much cheaper, remanufactured, non-OEM part. The alternator they installed BTW can be purchased nearly anywhere for well less than $200. I confronted David about the bait-and-switch - he said his mechanic couldn't get the new OEM alternator, so they installed the remanufactured Remy alternator instead. Asked why they then charged me the same price for the remanufactuered third party part that he quoted me for a new OEM part, he claimed that the part installed cost him the same $442 that was on the original quote and invoice - thus claiming his wholesale cost was more than twice as much as any retailer sells if for; an obvious lie. I am currently spending my time compiling necessary information for a credit card dispute. Avoid this shop, they bait-and-switch, overcharge, and hope you never check the validity of their work. read more

This was by far the worst shop that I have ever used, they overcharged me, I was given one price but paid more when I picked up my vehicle then had to go somewhere else to have the work done over correctly. They even put cheap parts on my Mercedes. I would never suggest them to anyone. read more

Awful service. I went in to get my blinker replaced and after leaving the shop about an hour later my blinker was still flickering. I called to schedule another appointment and when I showed up they where closed. I never received a call attempting to reschedule before or after the time appointment was scheduled for. I called and left a message after realizing they where closed and never got a response. After a third attempt at trying to reach someone, he admitted that he'd received my message and still never called. After explaining that I didn't have time to come back a third time and I would just like a refund I was told I wouldn't be refunded for my initial visit because the bulb was still replaced. A lifesaver. After my car broke down in the Fort McHenry Tunnel I called around for places that I could get my car towed to while waiting on the side of 95 for my tow. No one else could see me same day but Harbor Auto told me to come in. I needed an alternator and they diagnosed the problem and got the part within the hour even though it was 4pm. They then stayed over an hour past closing time so I could be on my way back home to Richmond. Prices were more than reasonable and they saved me from having to spend the night in Baltimore. They were welcoming, had snacks and bottled water there and close enough to Fleet Street to grab a coffee and some food while I waited. I don't ever write reviews but I'm so grateful they were kind and helpful after a very long and tiring day. read more

My car broke down and I was on my way to an interview at Univ of Md Hospital. The owner allowed me to use his personal vehicle to go to my interview and when I was finished my car was complete for much less then what I was thinking! They were very professional and was able to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle.
