Stay Away, or bring your credit card! I have herd OK things about east county alignment and they have done work on my cars before. I will never return back!!! This place is a joke and so is Dave the service writer. I went into see them and have them check my brakes. Yes they made noise but they still had good life in them. Never less they said everything needed to be replace. The Front rotors and pads, and the rear drums and pads. Replaced it all.. This cost me 1875.00... Yes the worlds most expensive brakes form a 1500. Chevy silverado. So after walking away from this place a little sore the fallowing week my brakes started squeaking. Now remind you they replaced everything, I walk back into see Dave and he said lets take a look at it, They cleaned and checked all the brakes and sent me on my way, No later then 15 miles away my brakes started squeaking again. I call Dave on the phone and he say he dose not know what to tell me. I told him over my dead body will 1800 dollar brakes squeak, So i brought the truck back into them and they cleaned and test drove the truck. It should not do it again they say.. Well guess what its did it again and instead of them ordering parts and wanting to take care of a customer they make me bring it back again and drive with a tech until the noise was herd.So parts are ordered and now again they say to bring the truck in and they want me to leave it with them. This is the second time i have left the truck over night and they still do offer a ride back home, These people have no customer service skills and they are all about the money, I will never see them again and I will try my hardest to make it known that they are a crappy shop. read more

I've been taking my Lazy Daze RV to ECA for 3 years now. I've spent about $10,000 in parts and upgrades over the years. Recently, I received I a text from ECA asking me if I needed any services. Given my last RV trip was 7k miles, I thought I would have the rear drum brake shoes changed and an oil service performed. I asked for a quote and was told it would be around $1000. When I asked the service advisor why it was so much, he told me they would need to drop the axle and that since it was a dually it costs double. Now, I'm not a mechanic but I do understand how drum brakes work and what's all involved with oil change. Anyway, I called a few other shops including the Ford dealership in Kearney and was quoted $550 for new drums and shoes along with the oil change. I'm a big fan of supporting small businesses and my family had an auto repair shop growing up. Given the quote was way off and the fact that the information provided to me was inaccurate, I thought it was best to call ECA back to clarify what I wanted done. I mentioned to the service advisor the ECA's quote was nearly double what other had quoted me, he gave me the standard sales response, " We are not the cheapest because they use OEM parts and fix it right" . I questioned him about dropping the axel and he said he didn't work up the quote the owner Kevin did. I asked to speak to Kevin thinking maybe there was still some confusion, but was told he was gone for the day and to go to the Ford dealership if I didn't like the price. If the job justifies $1000 for the work to be performed then I would happily pay it. However, for a rear drum brake replacement and an oil change $1000 is a total rip off and they know it. It's clear they don't value repeat clientele, otherwise; they would of had the owner call me and explain why the quote was a complete rip off. ECA, Please remove my number from your system and stop sending me text messages asking ME to give you the opportunity to work in MY vehicle. There are plenty of other places out there that do good work for a fair price. I will no longer refer any friends to them as the customer service has gone down hill over the years. It was a very disappointing experience here on 8/09/18 after they had worked with my tire company (Discount Tires) to replace broken lug nuts on July 5th. (they did charge me anything) Between them and Discount they covered the lug nuts. However one good deed does not deserve a wrong deed. I came in to get my front brakes replaces on the same vehicle on 8/09/18. They were screeching bad with no warning. They said they needed to be replaced but the rear brakes were also leaking fluid from the cylinders and those needed to be replaced as well. Their over the phone quote for front brakes was about $300. Then when I brought it in, it went up to $400 plus $500 for the back brakes. Really $900! So I said no and took it to my favorite shop and it was diagnosed as only needing front brakes and there was absolutely NO brake fluid leaking from the back!!!. The other shops fees was $295.36. Do they count on people not wanting to pay their $59.50 fee for the diagnosis? I paid their **** fee and went to my shop. I feel l was taken advantage of as a woman but this lady is smarter than them. Shame on you! read more

Should have checked withYelp before I took my RV in for a $95.00 allingment. Got a call from the Tech informing me I needed $2,700 worth of suspention work and my rig would drive like a dream. He insisted this work was necessary for my safety. Got it back and made it part way home. Had to return again for more work. Get a second opinion if you find it necessary to do business with this shop. I'll never return. Oh by the way my RV drives worse than before I took it to them. read more

When I went to pick it up it was explained to me in detail all the work they had done. I left feeling very happy and my truck couldn't be better. Brought my car in for an alignment. Scheduled an appointment. I showed up for the appointment time, and their racks were full, Anna told me I could wait approximately 2 hours. or bring it back another day. So I rescheduled for the following day. When I got their same thing, racks are full we are running late. When I asked them what could be done to get my car done quickly Anna got a bit bent, and told me I should wait my turn, or leave the car for them to get to later.. Why did I make an appointment, if they can't schedule work for the time I am coming in. When they did finally get it done, there was no computer print out of before and after numbers.. turns out they don't have a laser rack, just strings and bubble gauges.. Took my 73 Bronco to East County Alignment last Friday to have the alignment done after I had replaced the entire front suspension including tie rods, drag link, C Bushings and ball joints. I tried to get the alignment set the best I could but the reason I did all of that work was because it was not fun, and probably not safe to drive. Chris took it in and within 30 minutes gave me a call and let me know that I needed some shims on the ball joints to get my camber numbers right. I already knew this was the case since there were shims in there during my replacement, but they did not fit with the new ball joints so I removed them. All in all the cost was reasonable and the thing now drives down the freeway as straight as an arrow. This Bronco is my 17 y/o sons daily driver so it is important that it gets done right. I would trust these guys to work on any vehicle and highly recommend you guys do to. An oh by the way, I got a call yesterday from them just checking to make sure I was completely satisfied with how everything came out. Who does that any more? read more

Probably some of the worst service I've received in a long time. The first time i went there was to get an alignment done, they were nice and pretty quick (they quoted me an hour and a half so i walked over to Sonic to get some lunch) and let me know there was more than one problem with my vehicle that needed to be fixed in order to fix the overall problem. They gave me a list of parts and how much the labor was going to cost to do all the work. They also said they would realign the vehicle being that it was under warranty. The second time i go there was a totally different story. We i got there at 9:30am for my scheduled appointment, they informed me that i would have to pay for the vehicle to be aligned again because i did not let them do the work. They told me that realigning the vehicle for free was a reward for letting them do the work. So i hopped on my bike and rode to Sonic again and left my truck there. So fast forward an hour and a half, my vehicle is still sitting there waiting to be serviced. It was not until fifteen minutes later it was pulled around back put on a lift and left to sit. They then all proceeded to head to their lunch break. I was informed that they would be back by one and would take another 30-45 minutes after that. When my vehicle was finally finished at 1:45pm, i headed in to the office to get my keys and ask for a "take too long" discount. Without me even finishing my sentence the receptionist cut me off and said no. It was almost as if this was not the first time this has happened to someone, and that she had all her answers rehearsed already. When i asked why it took so long she said that my truck was taken in right before lunch and they have to take a mandatory lunch break. I said 9:30am is right before lunch and she responded with "because you were not waiting there we do not put the hour and a half time limit the alignment." So i payed the man and left very unsatisfied. Don't make an appointment for this place because they don't follow to them. If you treat your car well don't take it here because you have speed racer racing around the parking lot. If you choose to wait for them make sure to clear your whole day you're going to need the extra time. I don't know what happened to them, they used to be great before they changed ownership. read more

Turns out, the mechanic told us that a tow truck company damaged our arms and suggested we go after them through our insurance. They were so nice and so informative and are helping us with our insurance claim. Everyone we have had contact with has been great. I will definitely return. Respectful, friendly, professional. I've had brakes (pads and rotors), struts, and alignments numerous times on multiple vehicles and have been 100% pleased. I can always tell when a company treats their employees well because in turn the employees are happy and attentive to their customer's every need. tl;dr, I got SCREWED! Story time: I called Wednesday to schedule a 4 wheel alignment for my Ford Focus which was recently lowered. Upon calling, I was connected to Jake, or Jaccob (Yes, two c's). From what I understand, he was the head mechanic and explained the whole process down to every torque setting on the wheels and how he had planned on going about aligning my car. He gave me a story about his, or his friend's, Lexus IS350 which was lowered and ended up costing upward of $800 to align due to camber issues. I know that my camber increased because I have some knowledge of cars and lowering as I have been around cars for years. He told me he had a "special" way to fix my camber issue, which was great! Jaccob was really helpful and sounded like my experience here was going to be great! Boy, was I wrong. I dropped off my car on Friday and upon dropping off I noticed something was up because the lady helping me get all the paper work filled out spelled "Focas" instead of Focus and she couldn't identify my car upon the description I told her. That was the first thing that caught my attention. I figured, "Oh, well. She isn't a mechanic." Later, I get the call usually saying that my car is finished, but this wasn't the case. They were "unable to complete the 4 wheel alignment due to the camber mismatch on the rear tires." They claimed that my rear passenger tire has a -2.5 degree camber while by rear driver side has only -1.25, -1.0 is stock height for those that don't know. After they told me that they couldn't align my car due to the alignment they hung up the phone. I called them back with questions, mainly, can I get my car back. When I called them back they said again that I couldn't get my alignment due to the front driver side wheel bearing being bad. I had my car jacked up before the alignment to check regular maintenance and one of the things I checked was the wheel bearings. The front wheel bearing was fine and in good shape when I check just days prior. So, back to it, when I called them back they said that total cost was going to be ~$580 to fix both the bearing and the camber. I told them no, because I know that both my camber and bearing are both fine. They did not proceed to due those fixes, thankfully. I went to go get my car and they wouldn't hand the keys back until I had paid for an inspection. Now I read that an inspection fee was going to be included because it said so in the terms, but I also expected to get a sheet showing what they did and all that. I did not get that. Once I paid my fee, I went home and jacked up my car and checked both the camber and bearing, and they were both fine. All in all, I feel like I got screwed because they couldn't complete the alignment due to my bearing and camber, which are both fine. I did pay the inspection fee, but did not get an inspection paper showing what they did. I will not be going here again. read more

I own a Freightliner step can that has been converted into a food truck, which as you an imagine gets a lot of wear and tear, and the only place I bring it for any brake work is East County Alignment. Why? I can't tell you how nice and honest these folks are. Even the techs are polite and in a good mood, and willing to work extra to get your job done (thanks Ray). I'm editing this review. We had work done on our horse trailer. They did an excellent job. They quoted us a very different time frame but the work to be done was more than they realized over the phone. They also quoted us a much lower amount to fix it on the phone (for two axles) and ended up fixing just one but the one they fixed was very damaged. We were very happy with the work. Our horse trailer was not road safe and they made it safe and saved us a lot of money to straighten our axle instead of replacing it. I would recommend this business but maybe allow a little extra in your budget and some extra time - at least until they see what needs to be done in person. read more

Chris at East County Alignment helped me out in a bind. So I needed to get my shocks removed off of my Ford raptor so I could get them rebuilt by Mirage Racing which was down the street. Chris helped me out right away and had the shocks taken off in about 15 minutes. I got the shocks rebuilt and came back two hours later. Chris again jumped out of his way to get them on right before his lunch shift and that only took 20 min. Chris at East County Alignment was very helpful, knowledgeable, quick and charged me a decent price that got my Ford raptor back up and running within an hour. Great guy overall. read more

FINALLY FIXED!!!! I took my 2008 Jeep Wrangler to East County Alignment yesterday (4-7, 2014). I had the dreaded "Death Wobble" that Wranglers get. I had replaced the Drag Link, Upper and Lower Control Arms and bushings, Sway Bar bushings, Steering Stabilizer, Track Bar and bolts, Tie Rod with Heavy Duty ends and shocks. Bought new tires, had them balanced and the front end aligned. Nothing seemed to easy the wobble when over 60 mph. I had taken the jeep to two other front end shops and neither of them could diagnose or fix the problem. I dropped the Jeep off at 8:00 am. At 8:45 I get a call with a diagnosis and plans to fix. The steering box needed adjustment, one of the tie rod bolts was not torqued properly and the brake rotors were warped. They also noted the steering wheel was loose (only shop to even mention this). I picked the Jeep up at 5:00 and headed home. Before getting out of the parking lot I could feel the difference. The steering wheel was tight, no play at all as well as centered. The feel was that of a brand new vehicle. I put it through it's paces on the trip home and I could not get it to wobble. The steering was the tightest it has been since I bought it. The service was professional, honest and cost was outstanding. After months of frustration, East County Alignment fixed my problem. I made an appointment only to wait for 45 minutes due to the son of owner to be yelling at his employees which I found very un professional if I didn't need the part they ordered I would of gotten my keys and left. I wont be back. I do have to say that the tech was very thorough and explained why I needed the part. Office staff are very courteous. Their diagnostics clearly identifies critical repairs and items that can be delayed and they will decline to preform work that is not needed. I have never been to this shop, but as I read the reviews I can't help but see the lower ratings are bogus. If a shop put your car/truck on the rack hooked it up for an alignment, that takes time and time is money. If you take your car to another shop (Firestone) they will charge you the same way (even if the Alignment didn't need an adjustment). I will try them next time I need work done. Mike read more

I expected to see better reviews on here. As I had great customer service. I went there for a snapped stud/lugnut. As they did run into a slight problem, but the mechanic Jacob, was nice enough to pull me over and show/explain me the problem he was running into. Explained what he had to do and how it should take about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Said he would only charge 2 hours. With what he had to do he recommended an alignment, but would do it free of charge. He estimated with labor and parts would be way higher then we originally discussed. It took him 2 hours and charged me with 1.5 hours. As I still have a spare on told me to come back when I get the new tire for he can readjust my alignment. I would highly recommned them as great service, great mechanics, very friendly and neighborly. read more

Although we've been using East County Alignment for the last twenty years, I have to commend them on their recent work on our vehicles. They have always been honest, timely, efficient and highly professional. They are also focussed on customer satisfaction and maintaining long term relationships with their customers, so we have the utmost respect for this business. Having said that, we recently took our 2008 Civic in for air conditioning trouble. After researching the history of our vehicle, they wound up SAVING us hundreds of dollars through warrantied work. That's AMAZING! To the customer who complained because she couldn't get a "deal", I ask you this. Do you want quality work at a fair price, or do you want to cheap out and pay the price later? Stropped by because of a referral from Discount tire. I wanted a brake inspection. Jake, (I think) said come back at 1:00 on Wednesday. I came back at 1:00 on Wednesday and Jake was helping another customer. I was "Helped" by a man that asked if I was going to leave my car overnight. I said I hadn't planned on it. The man said they had no record of my appointment. He said that an inspection would take an hour. That part didn't bother me it was the fact that "Jake" stood there and ignored my existence. I told the young man I would be back another time and left. I would not recommend these people to anyone. read more

Brought my 37 foot RV in it was swaying and being pushed by semi truck trailers on the road at times very dangerous. Spoke with Kevin and he told me what was needed i hesitantly agreed. After they installed some new shocks sway bars and a mechanism that kept my RV driving straight and an alignment. Well first road trip this week and boy it's like night and day! I took my daughter's car in because it was pulling to the right and had a huge shimmy in it. Jerrad said he would need to charge me a diagnostic charge as well as needing to pay for the alignment. We left the car with him and waited for his call. When I dropped it off I told him that we were going to upgrade the car soon - so I didn't want to break the bank.... I received a call about an hour later to tell me that he felt that he could save me money by just having me get a new set of tires AND he was going to not charge me ANYTHING because he knew I wasn't going to keep the car much longer! Very disappointed. Firstly, I was recommended by discount tire saying they cut a break if you got new tires. This is not the case. I brought my 2012 car in for an alignment and they said it needed some work. I repeatedly asked them to give me an idea of how much because I wanted to get another opinion. I kept just asking for a ballpark figure and to have my car back. It took them 5 hours and they quoted me $1,800+ to repair the car. They never performed the alignment and charged me $52 just to look at it. I wound up going to the DEALERSHIP and paid $700 after everything. These people are ripping you off. Well, I read the yelp reviews and decided to call and make make an appointment to get my PT Cruiser aligned regardless of some of the negative reviews. They gave me an appointment for the the next day. When I got there it was a hubbub of activity and noise.In the office Jake & Anna explained it would take awhile because their computer was misbehaving. They offered me coffee and I found a seat in their small waiting room. They were able to fix their computer problem then Anna took my info, asked me if I was going to wait, then turned my car over to Ron after giving me the run down on the work & inspection he was going to do. I grabbed a magazine and my coffee and settled into my seat, I was surprised by the unrelenting number of calls and walk-ins. Since I read some pretty nasty reviews before coming here, I attempted to listen to the phone calls and the interaction with customers. The office ran at a quick pace and I did notice that the staff was polite and knowledgeable. As busy as everyone I was surprised I didn't hear any yelling or swearing, after all this was a pretty macho place, wasn't it?. Jake came in to chat with me and I asked if he was going to give me the BAD news. He explained the problems my car had & then he had Ron take me into the pit to show me the worn parts. I wasn't surprised because I have a 2002 Cruiser and have had to replace very few parts. Jake and I went back into the office and he explained the process for the repairs and what options I had. I never felt he was pressuring me or trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I took my car home and after arranging transportation I scheduled the work for two days later. The work was done and I picked it up the same day. When i went to the office to retrieve my car , I overheard a young man who wasn't happy because the shop had found some problems with his vehicle's suspension. He made some accusations to Jake and Jake attempted to calmly explain the problems with the customer's vehicle. The guy refused to listen and left unhappy. What he was complaining about was the same problem I had (worn-out parts)and what i had been told seemed reasonable. Needless to say, I was happy with the service I received that day and thanked them for the service. By the way, did I mention that Anna was a babe but she definitely knows the business. read more

Had to give these guys 2 stars. I stopped by for an estimate on the recommendation of a friend. They were friendly right up to the point that they told me it would be $50.00 for an estimate. Well, I just came from 2 shops who gave me an estimate without charge. I told them if they provided quality work at competitive prices they wouldn't have to charge for an estimate. That is when they became grouchy, and told me that they have to pay their techs for the estimates. I guess I will be taking my $1400.00 repair to a shop that gives me a fair price, and doesn't charge for an estimate. read more

FINALLY!!!!! AN HONEST AND FORTHCOMING AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FACILITY! Ok, first off, i want to thank Jay and Jake for providing me all the info up front.....and in a fairly straight forward manner for that fact. I had used this shop a few years ago for some suspension and alignment services on a few of my vehicles. Didn't have any problems. I had shifted jobs, and in turn, had a schedule shift as well which only allowed me time on weekends to take my vehicles in for the above listed services. This is where i ran in to some difficulty. East County Alignment is not open on weekends. So, i took it upon myself to find other places that were available on weekends. BIG MISTAKE! I will not make mention of the other shop names i tried.....all of which were within 5 to 10 miles of East County Alignment and "REPUTABLE".....as I am not about bashing others BUT very big on giving credit where credit is due. One of these said shops had told me that i needed about $500 in parts replacement and then an alignment. Took same vehicle back to East County Alignment. They did the inspection for $59, or so, and credited that towards the minor alignment the vehicle needed. No $500 in parts replacement there. Took another one of my vehicles to another shop, after i had performed a couple of parts replacements myself, to have the alignment done. This shop indicated that i needed parts A, B and C replaced. These just happened to be the brand new ones i just installed per factory installation procedures. After confronting the tech and service manager about this, the tech proceeded to say "oh, I meant D, E and F". Come on man! Who does that?! Anyways, took the same vehicle to East County Alignment 2 days later, to have the alignment done. As soon as the Tech got under vehicle, he stated, "Nice job on the new parts install". He also indicated that the "toe" just needed a minor adjustment because everything else is good. Took my third vehicle into a third "reputable" repair shop for a simple "toe" adjustment, and was told, yet again, that i needed about $800 in parts replacement. Took same vehicle to East County Alignment. Had the vehicle in and out in 30 minutes for the only needed simple toe adjustment. So, with all that said, I definitely learned my lesson with trying other "REPUTABLE" shops just because i didn't want to adjust my week day schedule. Again big thanks to the crew at East County Alignment for being honest, forthcoming and not trying to make an extra unnecessary labor dollar just because a customer doesn't know when to raise the "BS" flag. Looks like East County Alignment will be taking care of our steering and suspension needs......at least the ones that are above and beyond me. read more
