I'm going to start from the best aspects down to the worst the zero gravity massage chair is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it for anybody even people who don't like Massage might enjoy this chair. This is coming from someone who has made getting a massage a way of life so trust me on this! The float was pleasant enough I think I understood the concept but I think without background instrumental music which I'm used to from massages it was a little bit disconcerting to be with my own thoughts for 90 straight minutes while naked in a tub of water. Having said that physically speaking the whole experience made the actual physical body feel pretty amazing. I would have spent my entire 90 minutes inside the water had it not been for a lovely little object that was floating between my legs as I opened my eyes. I'm going to stay right here that I hope it's just a piece of rubber that came off one of the sides of the tabs but more than likely it was some type of living being from the worm family about half an inch long and curled up really fast once I splashed onto the edge of the tub. I know that things come out of drains and that is totally normal but that was a dealbreaker for me I don't think I'll be back in the water! The only other small small first world problem disappointment was along with my package came a strawberry fizzy and they were sold out of the one that was actually chosen for me so that was poor planning on the managers fault of who is coming in when and what drink they chose since it came with the package. I think a couple of the rooms could use a little bit of a cleaning and some slight updating and I also think that there should be towels as you come out of the tub so that you don't slip and fall there was a small mat but it did nothing in the way of actually protecting you from slippage.

If you have never experienced a salt float, you really should give it a shot. It is the most relaxing experience, even more so than a massage. East Coast Float doesn't use deprivation tanks so the risk of feeling claustraphobic is low. Their facilities are clean and bright and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Even if you do not have a specific ailment and just want an hour without distractions to yourself, a float is worth it! Plus they always have deals going for packages and membership.

I found myself a tad freaked out in the complete darkness and relied on having my hand on the light switch the entire time.

An appointment was scheduled for me and on the Sunday of my appointment Colleen greeter us and explained everything in great detail to us. You have to shower and wash your hair prior to getting in the tank and you have the option of going in your swimsuit or birthday suit, the choice is yours. You have a private room with a shower stall and a float pod. They provide the shampoo, conditioner (use after you get out the pod), ear plugs, towels and floatation devices for you to use in the pod. Now once in the pod, that's when it became tricky for me...I couldn't get myself in a comfortable position for the longest. Most people lay on their back and are comfortable that way with a floaty behind their head. Me on the other hand found my comfortable position to be on my stomach, resting my chin on a floaty with my arms extended 2 fingers locked. This was the best for me!! While trying to figure out my comfort position, I did begin to move, extend, and stretch the part of my body that I was having discomfort in and since then that part of my body has been feeling really well. I'm able to move it and everything with it being stiff and very painful before. I'd definitely go back. Colleen was helpful and answered all questions that I had. The one thing that I didn't like was the slimy feeling your skin has when you're in the float. Also, make sure you bring your own soap and things and shower VERY WELL when done so as not to bring salt with you.

Serena has been there to help me both times and is absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable. She knows what she's doing and gives just the right tips to make your experience that much better! I saw a deal on Groupon for 60 minute floating therapy along with a 15 minute enhancement. I'll begin with the staff. The staff members were very friendly and they greeted me upon entry and asked if I had an appointment. Once I confirmed my appointment with them, They offered me a shower cap and then one of the girls immediately walked me to the spa side of the salon. I'll be honest I forgot their names but they were friendly and nice nonetheless. Next is the place itself. The place itself is very very clean. I can tell that this place is fairly new especially since this particular location was hard to find because there is no sign called "the float spa". This location is actually next to Raymour and Flanigan in the Deptford town center plaza and you have to enter through the "Hello gorgeous" hair salon. once I saw the salon I actually did see a sign in the window but it can easily be missed by someone who is not as familiar with the area. My float pod was very clean and I can tell that they actually do clean in between guests. The lady who helped me was very informative and she provided me with everything that I needed for my stay including ear plugs and a cushioned floating neck rest which was very needed because I cannot flow on my own lol The floating experience is self was very peaceful and I actually did end up falling asleep lol it was very clean in there and it was very warm and comforting especially with the music and the lights. I cannot do lights off in there whatsoever because I am afraid of the dark lol After the float therapy I tried to shower and wash off the salt but that was a fail. I still ended up with salt in the crevices so I ended up showering again once I got home. after showering I was guided to the Hydro massage bed for 15 minutes as an enhancement and that was just the icing on the cake! I understand that this place is still fairly new but one thing I would recommend is to have an actual swimming cap maybe or something to protect our hair because not everybody wants to get their hair wet. the shower cap was a great gesture but still got a little bit of water in my hair. other than that my stay here was excellent and this place truly deserves five stars from me!
