The only downside is that you need to order food two days ahead if you would like to order from them, which we didn't realize. But that's not an issue, as there are many places in the area that deliver. If anything, I think the flexibility of food is a plus for picky eaters. They then assign you a small locker for your shoes and then you go inside to the gender specific locker rooms where you have a larger locker. They issue you a uniform that you need to wear while in the common areas so you need to change into that in the locker room. Since the locker rooms are gender specific, all baths within that area require full nudity (I did not participate in those but I heard they were wonderful). Any service like mud bath and scrubs require full nudity and you can sign up online or right inside the locker room. If nudity isn't your thing, there are still plenty of things to do (just no bath stuff). In the common area, all genders intermingle and there are 5 different saunas will all different temperatures and all different themes. They have a sleeping room (which is also used for a nice yoga class), lounge chairs, a common sitting area, a cafe, and a small eatery. You can rent games at the cafe for free and the cafe has a huge menu of both healthy and indulgent treats. You can sign up for different massages, facial, hair, or foot treatments right in the common area. I do suggest signing up for these services online beforehand because they fill up quickly (all services are an extra charge and automatically add an 18% gratuity). We spent about 7 hours here with a group of 7 people and we wish we had more time. I do wish that they had proper showers inside with curtains and/or a changing area for those of us that are a little shy. Staff was friendly and we'll definitely be back. Afternoon got crowded so I would suggest going earlier in the day if you're going on a weekend.

She was able to get us in within the hour. We went for an all over cryo session along with a local session. When we got there we were greeted by Sylvia, and went through the check in process. You are given recovery flip flops to put on, and directed to the locker room where you change into a robe. From there, we went over to the cryo chamber. She explained the process thoroughly. For someone who hates being cold, I was a little scared to do this. The temperature goes down to -120 - -240 F. You are in the chamber for 3 minutes. It goes relatively fast. But it feels so invigorating when you are done. She then explained all the other services the center provides. After she explains them all you want to do all of them! The local cryo session was about 12 minutes. While I was waiting to go, we were able to wait in the Salt room, that is decorated with hanging swing chairs and a lounger. It was relaxing to wait in there until my session. The local cryo session I had on my face and scalp. The temperature did not feel as cold as the chamber but was very relaxing. Be aware that this is NOT a spa facility, so if you are looking for fluffy robes, herb tea, new age music and/or "pampering," this probably won't be your kind of place. The partners who own this facility design custom float tanks for individuals and business as their primary business, and they maintain this tank at the back of their workshop, located in a residential area, in an old firehouse, for people to try out. As one of the few people on earth, apparently, who hates to be fussed over, this arrangement was ideal for me. The one thing I DO care about is the cleanliness of the tank itself, which was both modern and pristine. The tank is housed in a fully renovated suite at the back of the building, complete with shower and bathroom facilities. The owner gave me a full rundown of how it works, answered all my questions, and even entertained my husband and allowed me some extra free time in the tank. For me, it was a life changing experience. I highly recommend The Float Spa for anyone interested in floating, as long as you are not expecting a lot of fancy atmosphere.
