This is my first sew in so I told her I needed help and to walk me through it. So I trusted her. I arrived for my 12 PM app at 11:50, she had a client in her chair. I sat for about 15 mins and she realized I was there for a 12 PM app, she said she thought it was 12:30. I said it was all good, I wasn't in a rush. I didn't sit in her chair until after 1 PM. Again, no worries, I'm relaxing. She braided my hair, toned my bundles (ended up being purple, left the shampoo on too long and was unsure of how to fix it so myself and her friend walked her through it) but no judgement in the moment, I was telling Ashley that it was okay and I sat in the back with her while she fixed it and talked to her bc she was feeling upset. Again.. girl. I was so nice. SMH. After that she began my sew in with the wet tracks. I left the salon at 5:30 PM. Initially it felt heavy, didn't look or feel right but I felt rushed out. I did ask her about the sides of my real hair showing (my dark brown hair and this platinum blonde hair) and she explained it then I reminded her of the texts between us and she said she "wasn't paying attention" when she told me to buy the wrong thing. Sorry. Didn't cut or layer my hair. I bought 26, 28 and 30. I felt rushed out of there, paid $225, tipped $25 and was on my way. Like I said it didn't feel right but I've never had a sew in so I wasn't sure. It felt heavy and very stiff. I didn't realize until I got home that it was still wet underneath, my part was ORANGE from the make up and it was so stiff I couldn't even put it behind my ears. I messaged Ashley the next day - you can see all the texts from there. Pics of hair after we started to remove it with no cap just sewn right into my hair. All the black is thread. Pic of when she was braiding I cried over this hair - I was SO excited, this was my gift to myself for passing my licensure exam. All my friends know how hype I was. And she really did me dirty. Before originally scheduling in January 2014 I confirmed over the phone that this was a money back guarantee, and the answering staff member confirmed yes, that they've never had anyone that the treatment didn't work on. One year and 3 treatments later, after following all instructions perfectly in addition to going above and beyond to be sure I was doing my part, my nail situation is worse, not one bit better. I was assured the entire time that I just needed to continue following instructions and scheduling appointments. No results. Now they're refusing a refund, stating that it's just a written guarantee that it works, meaning they'll continue treating at "no cost". I'd rather get that whopping $500 back for this bogus treatment then continue playing this game. Now I have to take Lamisil and risk my liver, or just live with this problem forever. Don't waste your money. I'm very disappointed.
