I've been here 3 times with family members. I was hesitant because of the negative reviews but I will continue to go back because they are reasonably priced (and yes, it's cash up front) and I get an excellent massage (the massage therapists English is not great, but I'm not there for conversation). I only had one experience where the therapists phone kept going off (twice) during the massage or the two therapists were talking to each other and it was distracting, as I want a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Totally understand why this place makes you pay upfront prior to anyone actually receiving any services... Beginning to end, this place was the absolute worst! I went in and explained that I'm having pain/tightness in my upper back and shoulders and asked the masseuse to spend extra time up top, but she hardly spent any time on that area at all. I'm not sure if they were low on supply or something, but she barely used any massaging oil or lotion, and because she used none on my legs, it felt as if she was just trying to rip my skin off. The masseuse was coughing and sneezing throughout the entire hour and did not wash her hands once afterwards. She kept leaving the room which really negated any of the little relaxation that I was able to have. When the hour was over, I was most definitely in more pain than I had arrived with. The end of my visit was one I've never experienced before. The masseuse asked if I wanted to leave a tip and I told her that the service was absolute crap and that I would only be leaving $5. She then had the audacity to tell me that people typically leave a $20 tip (on a $60 massage? come on...) and tried to negotiate with me with $17 and $15. Because I wanted to get the hell out of there, I caved and said $10. She then tried to charge $13 with the rationale that she would only get $3. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. My fiancé bought this for me for my birthday he was asked to pay ahead of time and when he went to tip mind you 20% he was told that's not enough. Please... Do not go here. This was by far the worst experience of a massage I have ever received, I don't think these people are licensed massage therapists!! My body hurts worse now than it did before I went in there. Firstly, I paid for a 90 min with hot stone massage. She first was super rough and fast the whole time. Mind you these people don't speak ANY English at all so I can not communicate with what I need/want. She pulled off my underwear and was massaging in between my butt cheeks! Got on top of the table and straddled me with her forearm under my ass, pretty much rubbing up against my privates. She left the room 8x each time while leaving my butt exposed while men walked in and out! Was rough and smacking my body the whole time. Took the stones and was smacking me with the stones. (and the stones lasted for about 5 mins).. I feel like I have whiplash from what just happened, I can't believe it. Wipes me off with a wet towel really rough and quick like I am a dog getting out of the bath. Then cuts my massage 20 mins short and demands I tip her! Blocking my exit to the door! I visited Nirvana Massage with my wife back in October 2016 and it was the most relaxing and comprehensive massage I have ever experienced. The therapist puts all their focus into finding the soft tissues that are giving you trouble, and they seem to know just the right amount of pressure. Then they use the hot stones and hot towel and I'm getting more relaxed just thinking about it. They know what they're doing. The location is a bit unusual, and the woman at the front desk did not speak English. But the quality of the massage makes all that a peaceful stream under the bridge. read more

Arrived at three promptly and was greeted by the sweet elderly lady using her google translate to try to communicate with us. 5-10 minutes later the owner walks in and the first words out of her mouth in an aggressive tone were you are early this was supposed to be 3:30. Previously she had mentioned some kind of promotion over the phone so I simply inquired what that was about. Immediately she got defensive that there was no such thing became agitated and angry. Saying that if I don't trust this place why would I come in the first place. She called me a liar because I simply said I had been there before and did not have a good experience. Website said they close at 9pm. So I called to see if they had any available time slots. The women I spoke to over the phone was very nice and made it a warm welcoming, and scheduled me. I had another appointement at another massage place but when I called the gentleman wwo answered didnt speak very good English, and was scheduling me for stuff I wasn't comfortable with. So when 's Nirvana called me back I changed places. Once I got to the location the women who checked me in couldn't understand anything I said and wrote a time on a piece of paper to when I'd be seen and placed me in a quiet room to wait. (I did arrive earlier than my set time). Another women came out to get me and I was trying to ask her questions and again she had no idea what I was saying. It was hard to communicate what I wanted. My significant other and I were both greeted with women who did not know English so they used google translate and insisted we pay. I've been visiting Susan for massages for a bit over two years. She started her business in Skippack, PA before moving to the Exton area. She has now moved in to a larger location, with longer hours, and additional therapists. Susan gives an excellent therapeutic massage. I now drive about 50 minutes to visit the new location because of how comfortable I am with her. I recently decided to get a four-hand massage with Susan and another therapist. Both did a wonderful job and it definitely made me want to splurge again. Susan also has a room for couples massages. I very much recommend Susan and her massage business. Been here twice now. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the massage (got a couples massage twice) I normally get massage as a recovery mechanism from workouts so they really focus in on your posterior chain and the pressure was great. I used to go to the other chain places but you never really knew who you were going to get on a weekend when you really need to get a massage. I found Nirvana on Yelp and thought I would check it out since it is not far from where we live. My daughter and I (her first time) went to get a massage. Susan gave me my 60 minute massage which was very relaxing she loosened every muscle in my body! I never had hot stones before which was part of the massage and they were a little bit hot at first but after a few minutes my back got used to the temp. The rooms are very nice low lighting with zen music and tables are warm/heated which I love. Susan has soft strong hands I will ask next time just a little lighter on the pressure since it's been a while since I had one. My daughter loved it she is a teen who is training right now with cross fit for travel softball and this was just what she needed after her workout. I will be back again for sure! Fast response time and easily squeezed me into their schedule via convenient texting. Easy location wth lots of parking. Dark and quiet inside. The hot stones were enjoyable! And I really wanted a good massage so I tried to like it. But then it all went downhill. You have to tip before which is always a bit of a bummer. In this case, definitely a bummer. Then they overcharged my card $12 and when I asked for the money back they offered $10. Also, I paid for an hour and was only given a 50 minute service. Usually I would mind but I was ready for this massage to be over. My masseuse left the room 7+ times. Right when she came in she took the blanket off of me and placed a small towel on me instead. And the lotion she used was cold. So naturally I was cold. My feet, calves, forearms, hands, chest, and neck were not massaged. How dare you insult me by asking me to pay and tip before my massage!!! This wasn't the first visit as I have been to your business at least 12-15 times. The owner (Susan) knows me and she knows I'm one of the best tippers. I always give $30-35 whether it's for 60 minutes or 90 minutes. That's more than 20% it's more like 30%. Suzanne lied to me and told me that she's not the owner but as it turns out she is!! I should have known better and that should have been a red flag because come on, really, who lies about something so silly as that?! Instead, I continued to go because I will admit Suzanne is capable of giving a deep massage at most of the time she is good at what she does. So, if you're willing to deal with her talking throughout your entire massage, if you're willing to deal with her walking out of the room she 4-7 times and disappearing for a few minutes at a time, then you'll will get a deep and decent massage. My last massage, last week, I didn't get Suzanne. I got some other lady who couldn't speak any English at all! I couldn't get through to her what I wanted to maximize my massage. All she did was rub lotion on me. Honest to god, she applied no pressure what so ever. If I wanted lotion applied to my body my husband would do it. I was in actual pain which is the reason why I went to get a "therapeutic massage" (as they advertise). The 2 masseuse kept talking to each other in Chinese and laughing so it was hard to relax. If you go to Nirvana's website you'll see that they suggest that if you keep checking back on their "discounts" page they will have discounts and/or coupons, but that just isn't true because I've checked that site out numerous times before I go in for a massage (at least 12-15 times), over the course of 8 months and there has never been any discounts or coupons added. Also if you go to their services and prices page Do Not Pay attention to it because the prices are all wrong. In fact, that's the only good thing, they are actually a little bit cheaper in the store. I would HIGHLY AND STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU TRY OUT GREEN LIFE SPA, which is located right next to Nirvana. Green Life spa is located inside the mall (If you go inside through Boscov's and then walk into the Mall on the first floor on the right side you'll see Green Life Spa). They speak English and they will cater to your every need and it's very relaxing. They have 2 locations in Exton and 1 location in West Chester. read more

Will not go back. Went for a massage with my husband, and was really no different than if we had just stayed home and rubbed lotion on ourselves. There was no real massage, mostly light rubbing - I actually left with, and still have, a pull in my neck from the overstuffed pillow which was uncomfortably placed under my head. My masseuse left the room at least a half dozed times, for long stretches at a time. It one point, I just sat up and watched my husband's massage as I was confused as to what was happening and why mine appeared to be over. My husband left his boxers on, as one does, and the masseuse - without asking - removed the sheet, pulled down his undergarment, and massaged my husbands bare gluts, much to his alarm. She then proceeded to have him flip over and rub his face without cleansing her hands in any way. I am very surprised by the amount of positive feedback on yelp which led me to try this place when I was in the area. There are some serious issues with this place. First, the place is on the back of a commercial building, has no sign, and large metal doors. Secondly, they want cash up front, only massage place I've seen that does that. Then when you get in the room, the table has no blanket and there is a sign on the wall that says no refund if you leave during the massage. Who leaves during a massage? Well, let's talk about that. So the table is cold, the women walks in the room and is Asian and speaks no English at all, she doesn't even understand yes and no. So overlooking these human trafficking concerns and moving into the massage. The hour massage lasted for 50 minutes, well, 40 minutes if you count the 6 or 7 times she left the room without saying a word. She did not massage me, no pressure, except for my ass which she pulled the sheet fully off of me. She probably spent 30 minutes rubbing my ass. Listen, I'm Navy, I have been to a lot of strange places but this is the first time I have ever seen this stuff. She never touched my legs, I told her I was there for my calves but she didn't speak English so that didn't get anywhere. She touched my arms for 2 seconds each and seriously spent 30 minutes rubbing my ass... some of the time she decided to straddle my head while doing so.
